"Quite a while." Steel replied. "A few hours at least."

"Well any way what have you been up to? Where are we and what are we doing here?" Madalyn said she had so many questions running through her head but so little time it looked like before her sister would pass out.

And she was about ready to pass out again. Unfortunately it was sooner than she had time to respond to. Misty had felt fine a moment ago. Then...she suddenly felt light-headed. Like her energy had just been drained from her. The next moment, she blacked out and was on the floor.
Steel jumped a bit as the woman beside her collapsed, and she quickly bent down to check on her. Oh boy...what did she do? Heart rate seemed fine. Was she alright though? Should she move her? What did she do here?

By the time Alex had returned with a bag or two worth of clothes, the group had carried Misty back into the small room and laid her back down on the table. Alex dropped the bags on the ground and rushed over. "Is she alright?"
"She collapsed again." Steel replied.
Alex looked worried for a moment. "That's it then. We're getting her to a hospital." This was bad. She didn't know what to do to help her other than find someone who could.
"How will we get her anywhere?" Steel asked.
Alex hesitated.
"I've got something a bit easier than that." came a voice from the hallway.
Both girls turned to find a rather exhausted looking Shadow Spider standing in the doorway. Behind her was a man in a dark red outfit. "My...friend...here can probably fix her back up."
Alex looked at him, and her features became skeptical. "Who is he? she asked. Every sense she had was on alert. Which always meant that someone was dangerous. VERY dangerous.
"He's going to help us." she replied simply. "As long as we help him."

"And just what exactly does he want?" Alex asked, a growl peeking through her tone.
"Help." Reaper replied. "A rather nice list of heroes have disappeared. I will need help either locating them..." Or, as the kid had pointed out... "Or help in keeping order around here since there aren't many people around to do that now.""
Her eyes widened. "Wait, what do you mean heroes have disappeared?"
Reaper sighed a bit as he pulled the note out of his coat and held it out to Alex. "Doctor Strange left this note in his office. Both he and the ones listed are nowhere to be found."
Alex took the note and studied it carefully. Batman was gone...? Steel Spider peered over her shoulder, and her face reflected the worry that Alex was internally feeling. "Flash...Flash is missing?"
"Yes." Reaper replied. "I'll do you all a favor if you help out." he said, his tone uncomfortable. He wasn't used to doing this...helping thing.
Alex hesitated, still staring at the note. "...alright. We'll...we'll need a good place to stay. And Sapphire needs help."
Reaper nodded and glanced over at Shadow. She nodded back and wrapped her shadow around everyone in the room. A moment later they were all gone.

This was where the tunnel led, the one that use to connect to a support area to help those in Metropolis, Doctor Doom's plan to gain support of the populace against those of super humans, like Superman. It had fallen to ruin and the Nimrod robots, as well as Doom's Doombots were shut down and the place was abandoned. The last remaining tunnel that didn't fall to decay was a direct link between Gotham and Metropolis, so it needed to be shut; the security systems for the Eastern Bloc headquarters in Gotham wasn't up to par with the decay systems of this tunnel and thus to stop heroes liek Batman from using it against the Eastern Bloc once new operations were established, it needed to be shut, collapsed even.
The Commissar would have to deal with this matter himself; before he could return absolute power to the Eastern Bloc headquarters, he needed to secure any weak points that could give out its location or provide a way in for some intruders. Not to mention that the signals created by the surveillance drones could be tracked back to the base, it needed to be secure. Now that the Commissar was alone –no Doomsday, Doom, or even Arcade to use as tools- he was on his own for a time and therefore more vulnerable. Doomsday was an unfortunate loss, since his potential revealed that of Superman and it in return meant the Commissar didn’t have to worry about using Kryptonite, but with him gone, -likely deceased- he’d need to keep some in stock just in case. Since this part of the structure was already quite eroded, the Commissar needed only to rake out a few support beams and this place would cease to be a problem.
It wasn’t too long before the building collapsed, with of course the Commissar inside, but his metallic body could take such punishment with ease without breaking, though anything rival to a Spiderman strengthen attack would still put a few dents in the armour. Perhaps it was time to upgrade the robotic skeleton with something sturdier, powerful, perhaps with help from Metallo or the original Nimrod to be safe, but to get samples was right now next to impossible. For now, the Commissar would have to make his way back to Gotham as he struggled out of the building’s collapsed state. Once the Commissar cleared the rubble and made his way out of the area, he decided it woudl be better to see if any projects could be recycled in the other districts. Perhaps Scarecrow's Fear Machine was still in working order.

A cat-like, female voice spoke over any and all X-Coms:
"Any available X-Men, this is Kesshou. There are Sentinel type beings attacking Gotham City. Please help."
Remy looked down and made a long string of cuss words in french. There was no way he was getting there from where he was and he was going to miss the action.
"Hey Chere! I'm stuck in Metropolis. I'll have to catch the next one alright?"

ENTER from No Mans Land
Riku swung throughout the city until he came to rest atop one of the tallest buildings he could find. From there looked around the city. He couldn't find any source of trouble. At least not in this city. No sign of Alex either.

ENTER Steel Spider and Alex from NEW YORK
To Alex's surprise, she did have enough for them to be taken straight to Metropolis. Couldn't say the same for the way back, but at least they were able to ride one way. The cabbie was saying something about taking people straight to the other cities and that's it. He wasn't taking any detours or risking getting caught in traffic with those...Com-Bots, did he call them? Either way, they got to where they wanted to go quickly and affordability.
Alex climbed out of the car, and Steel did the same. After Alex paid the fair, she began walking down the street again. And again, Steel followed right beside her.
"Alright, so how do you want to go about this?" Alex asked, looking around the large city.
"I...I don't know. I was thinking to look in the last places we seen them. But...Flash short of just..." Steel said, trailing off.
"There's no real good way to know where he was last." Alex said, to finish her sentence. Honestly, she was thinking the same thing. She had already looked at where Batman was at last, and he wasn't there. And she'd done that very close to the time he probably disappeared. It was hard to tell where he was at. And from what she'd heard from those magic people in the house...they were going to have quite a time getting those who'd disappeared back. It wasn't as though they were captured and in some hide-out or something. No one knew where they really were. She was kind of wondering if anyone other than those in the Sanctum knew that there was a list of heroes missing. Wondering more about what heroes were left to deal with this world.
"So then...what should we do?"Steel asked quietly.
Alex paused a moment. "Well...let's look around for a bit. I mean it can't hurt anything, even if we don't find a thing. Then we could see what kind of costumes we could get put together here. It'll be harder for anyone to recognize us by the clothing we wear if we fight more in a completely different city. Plus...given that you were built to look just like Sapphire...I'd rather you had a mask on so no one pits her with you."
"I made a costume..." Steel replied, her tone a bit annoyed.
Alex rolled her eyes. "I can see that, but you didn't do so well with the mask. Really that's the most important part of the costume, even if it's just covering half of your face. I don't want people who you fight to come across Sapphire and think she's you. I doubt she can hold up against bullets as well as your metal skin."
Steel looked a little dejected, but nodded her head in agreement. She did have a point...Steel didn't want to have to watch over her injured counterpart again. "Alright...but that will help with finding flash?"
"Absolutely. We should be able to find out more in costumes than street clothes. Besides. If heroes are the targets, then we might be able to find out what's happened with costumes."
Steel paused for a moment and thought. Well...guess she could at least practice that whole 'knocking people out and not killing them' thing. She didn't quite make it the last time. Maybe if she practiced and got good at it, she really could help Flash the next time. "Alright. Lead on."
