Merlyn bit down on the rag, finally, something she could do for the pain.
"Mathius, go find me something small and sharp that we can use as a needle..." said Matt. He already had reached into his bag that he brought everywhere and got some string.
Merlyn used her hands to reach into her pocket to pull out a thimbel and a needle. She handed it to Matt.
"Thanks."

Mathius sat there suppressing the blood until the needle was ready to pierce the skin...

Merlyn braced herself. She realaxed and gave Matt a nod.
Matt nodded to Mathius to stop applying pressure. He then began to stitch the wound up good. He did it with great presicion, without talking. He saw Merlyn bit the gag to keep from screaming. After this, they would need to get her to Angel quick.

Mathius quickly picked her up, careful to keep the leg stable as he walked...he began to run towards the medical tent...

Matt smiled. "Lucky duck. I wish I had someone like that," he said to himself. He Laughed to himself as he pick up the mess. He then ran to the medical.
Merlyn smiled...and then closed her eyes. She went limp in Mathius' arms, from the loss of blood and the morphine that he had given her.

Mathius had almost yelled as he thought she had died...but by her slow snoring, he knew she had only passed out...he entered the medical tenet and got her a few doctors to help her...

Matt caught up with Mathius. "We need to get Angel," he said. "The other doctors might find out about...him," he said to him, realizing that they were back in the tents. "And that cannot happen."
Merlyn snored away, not realizing what was going on around her...But her nightmare began to form in her minds eye once again.

Mathius suddenly remembered and yelled at all of the doctors and pushed them away...he went to find Angel...

Matt sat by Merlyn's hospital bed. "Dammit, Merlyn, why do you have to be so tough?" He took her hand and said, "I always evied you for that...."
Merly envisioned a blood red sky, and the dead lying in heaps around her. She also so all of her dead followers. IT haunted her to no end.

Mathius quickly closed the curtain and and had a solemn expression..."I sent the doctors to get Angel..."

Matt nodded. He looked back at Merlyn. "Do you know how longs he's been having nightmares?" he asked.

Mathius seemed in stasis as he spoke..."I-I don't know...I only just learned the night of the battle on the hill...she had a fit...It must be a horrible dream..."He rubbed the scar on his chest...

"Okay. I was just wondering. Sometimes, when she was much smaller, she would have this nightmare about people coming into the village and taking me and mom and Dad away from her, or so she said," Matt said, looking at Mathius. "I don't think that that is this, though. Did you know in WW1 there were soldier that came back with dreams of demons and angels and stuff like that? "

Mathius looked down on the ground in remorse as he spoke..."I often had that when I was fighting for the resistance before they captured me..."He spat on the ground and shook..."I still think of the gore I saw out there...Those U.S. fighters seem to be fighting mindlessly...I don't even think they know why they are fighting..."He shook as he spoke, as if an icy chill had crawled up his spine....
