Give them a reason too! look at the GK, Draigowing they can get like four different nemesis force weapons, master crafted or not, and 3 different heavy weapons in 2 per 5 models ratio - again possibly master crafted (unless incinerator), plus possibly banner :3 I suppose they turn out about the same, but you can do some crazy s**t with Woofs. Such as taking a squad with storm shields and storm bolters. xD Confused, I don't see the advantage. Don't Storm Shields only provide Invuls in assaults?
with the exception of rules that deny it.
That is why Deathwings/Blood Angels owns with StormShield + FeelNoPain rule. :pOh, well that's a definite game changer then. xp Toss a couple assault cannons in there, and that's a very durable unit putting out a ridiculous amount of mid-strength fire.

Van Evok sadly/luckily (depending on what side of the barrel you are) Assault Cannons have been reduced to 1 per 5 termies in the recent dexes... but paladins in the draigowing can get 2 per 5, and they are S7 (psycanons) to boot... and they can master-craft them! only downside is no stormshields... Well, that's significantly more balanced at least. I can see min-maxing termies just to put assault cannons on the field if you could get 2 per 5 termies.

so far Deathwings are the only unit that has Norm-Termies and Assault-Termies
gear options in a one unit.
But even then it´s either Assault-Cannon+Powerfist OR TH+SS.
And it´s only for the wielder that gains the inv-save,
which really leaves the assault cannon being either
targeted with marksman-rule or with wound allocation. :-/
Not the mention the DW are only 5men units,
they can only have 1 assault-cannon/heavyflamer/cyclone ML. @.@

very old school character that has such option. <.<
CM Belial only has an option of SB+MCpower sword or TH+SS,
and all independed character (as far as I know) don´t have an Assault Cannon
as a choosable option in their wargear.
Althou... DA´s Company Master can have PlasmaPis,
SB, Pair of LC and Jump-pack and be a legal model. :-/

The Codex for DA was planned, the problem is not allways those two names seen on the first pages on the book we have another guy that was a bit on the checking of it so yeah..
