I am pretty good at being the cashier but I prefer being the one who takes care of them. Not the one who rings them up

Every done any volunteer work ever? My high school required 40 hours of community service for graduation.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 23, 2010 4:02 pm

i have...but i have no idea what it is or if i have verification references. back before i quit nhs there was stuff. my third school required no such thing...and i am a selfish B^$*@#&. i didn't keep records very well though.

definitely gremlins. XD. i love mel. hate him...but he is funny as hell sometimes.

Are they going to ask for verification of volunteer work? What kind of a job are you going for?

^^ Very pleased to have amused. He's only supposed to piss off the characters, not the rpers, so hopefully I'm on the right track there.

i'm applying for everything i see that doesn't require years of experiance...which has been a radio company so far...grrrrr.

most of my volunteer work has to do with small children...which makes for unprofitable work when you are just a college student.

oh but it's so much fun i am glad he exists. it must be fun to play as him too.

i'm going to bring my new character down soon too. he's a little less funny though....more annoying.

Where are you looking? Your best bet is to just go wander around for a day, asking stores if they're hiring and if they have applications.

Yay! And it is. ^^

Very few rp characters would be people you'd want to meet in real life. That's why it's fun. Chaos!

lol. it might work. but it's sunday. it also costs me two dollars to take a buss out of the neighborhood. there is virtually nothing within walking range of me, and we have no car for me to be dropped off... i figure it's best to use money for a trip on a day when more places are open. i've been online searching for the last few weeks. though i have been out application hunting on three different event times in the last three weeks...though that is pathetic in and of itself.....i have to wrap my self around my parent's schedule...which is a pain. i don't like applications. the place says it will keep it on file...but then they never call you. it's better when places are hireing...but that doesn't happen much....or i pick the worst places to look...either way.

That really sucks, I'm sorry.

my dad's been looking for nearly 2 years now. he's applied for janitorial positions and the like as well. he used to be a foreman on a construction site building a multi-million dollar shopping mall. it was his third....then the company went under, and he's been out of work ever since. i am much less qualified than that. i just have terrible luck. i'l find something eventually.

Your poor dad DX
PostPosted: Mon Aug 23, 2010 5:06 pm

yeah... i feel bad for him. he's having a harder time then i am, because when he applies to the lower positions like being a waiter, or working fast food, they tell him they are looking more for college students....i'm a college student, and so i don't get that particular write off.

Yeah, he's overqualified. They figure he'll be actively looking for something better since he deserves better. It sucks.
