No No, I didn't say Hard Gay was bad at all. He might be a little um...creepy but he's cool and it's alright if girls and guys all love him. ninja And besides, it was Legendary One who said that about Hard Gay, not me!

I was just commenting on the Mary-sueishness of Tosh's dream, 'cos it sounds so much like a fanfic with her as a self-insert into the world of one of her favourite Mangas (Prince of Tennis, Tsubasa perhaps? mrgreen ). I know what I'm speaking about because I've read tons of these Mary Sue fanfics. I seriously hope Tosh forgets all about it and never attempts to write an actual story out of it.

This is what a Mary Sue is. It's a literary definition of a fanfic or story character who's pretty much what you dream yourself to be.

Yes, Mary-Sueing is being absolutelty perfect, but it's also about trying to conform to all the most popular stereotypes. It doesn't just happen in RPs; Star Wars, HP and Naruto, Inuyasha and Pokemon and other fanfics are rife with Mary Sues.

My friend was passing around the 1st manga of Vampire Knight since she bought it, and it hooked onto so many female readers =D
