Deora_Alvarez Rikki Tikki Travi Damien brought his thumb and forefinger up to his chin as the thought about what Deora said. He thought back to the different television shows he watched that had ten year old characters on them.
He looked up to Deora and said, "No problemo, dude. I can keep my brains on the DL, yo. I'm cool, I'm cool."
"How was that?" he then asked. Deora did her best to keep from laughing at the boy's attempt. She didn't doubt it was his best attempt, but it was painfully far from passable. She had to wonder what combination of shows had given him the idea that that was how kids spoke. Was that a "No problemo, dude?" Was that from the Simpsons? Barely keeping a straight face, she cleared her throat to suppress a giggle. "That was... pretty good. It needs work, but it's a first step. What do you think, Kay?"
"Well it's a start to blend in amongst the crowd that's for sure.
However, it does sound... I dunno... a little too 90s? And that's like 20 years ago...now... just stick with us, loosen up and be yourself.
Don't try to pretend your Bart Simpson, because then people will think you're trying too hard. Just stick with us for a bit and maybe we'll rub off on yah a little cat_wink "
((ooc: I cry on the inside with this post (I'm a total 90s chic who still likes to think it was just 10 at least years ago)))

The Count of Monte Carlo "Sorry, it just set in kinda quick. It caught me off guard." Ako said, moving to her side. He rubbed a hand on her back, not knowing what else to do. "Do you have any idea what it is? Have you seen a doctor about it?"
Gidget knew exactly what it was, and she had been to the doctor about it. She felt terrible about lying to Ako, but she was very much terrified at how he might react.
With a nervous chuckle, she rubbed the back of her head. "Ahah...nope. Silly me. I've been so occupied with projects, and waiting for whatever this is to go away, that it's completely slipped my mind."
She hoped he would stop asking about it. She knew she couldn't hide it forever, but she didn't want to tell him like this, not now.
