Lore sighed slinging his bow over his back so he could pick Idhril up without any hinderance. Holding her close to his chest so she would not get into anything she should while he was holding her.

Idhril giggled and cuddled close to Lore's chest comfortably. "Mama helped me make it," she told him cheerfully. "Mama and Ulani helped all of us make some!"
And indeed, all of the girls were wearing a nearly identical flower wreath. Serenity's of course had an added flair - other plants (all of them strange and unique to this world) arranged in the wreath to make it more artistic than the others'.
Idhril felt something strange though ... somehow, her papa didn't seem the same as usual.
"Are you all right, Papa?" she asked, her tiny brow furrowing with concern as she looked up at him anxiously.

"Hmm?" Lore murmured, "I'm fine, don't worry about it," he smiled just for her.
He didn't want to worry her, besides it was just the rush leaving his body that's all. Well that and it was nearly noon too, but he would have to check the sky for that.

Idhril wasn't quite as sure as Lore seemed, but she accepted his reply without question. He was, after all, her papa.
"Can we go eat lunch now?" she asked eagerly, pointing to the kitchen. "Mama said we could eat when you got back!"

"Well... I do need to put away my things and we should wait for Ulrich first..." Lore ventured.
It would only be fair and he couldn't leave his things laying about anyhow.

Idhril nodded slowly, then tried to peer over his shoulder to see what he had that he had to put away. She couldn't see a thing from where she was, so she climbed up his arm and perched herself on his shoulder facing backwards.
"Oh!" she exclaimed happily, putting one hand on top of the bow on his back. "What's this?"
She was after all still less than 24 hours old, she had a lot to learn.
"I'll help you put it away," she added helpfully, patting Lore on the head. "Okay, Papa?"

"My bow, I just need to be it neatly in my room," Lore smiled fondly at her.
Like he had with all the children, at least they were having an interesting time. Though he hoped the boys weren't getting bored he thought as he made his way to the room he was staying in so he could set his bow and quiver aside.

Idhril held on to the top of the bow as she rode on Lore's shoulder into his bedroom. It was the first time she had tried to hitch a ride backwards, and it was fun!
"Oooohhhh," she murmured, her eyes growing wide with awe when they entered the room. The walls were painted like a forest scene, with deer, bears, squirrels and birds peeking out from between trees and branches, and the sight had caught her attention. "Pretty ..."
She shifted so that she could turn around on his shoulder without falling, and faced the rest of the room so she could see the rest of the painting.
"What are all the animals, Papa?" she asked, pointing at the various creatures peeking out from behind the trees and leaves.

"Hmm.?" Lore paused for a moment to get a good look at the picture since it was almost a hide and find of animals.
His brow furrowed looking at each animal, it was odd how for the most part they were animals that could be found at home. He wondered why that was.

"All of them, Papa!" Idhril pointed at the wall. "There are so many of them! But I can't count them, Celebor can count, but I can't."
She pouted a bit. She wanted to learn, just like her brothers and sisters!
"But what are they, Papa?"

"Well...." Lore murmured, "That's a deer... and those are bears and squirrels."
He had to chuckle at that, it reminded him of the time Celebor tried to explain a squirrel and of course it was as big as him at the time or nearly there.
"And those are different types of birds."

"But what do they do, Papa?" Idhril pressed. "Where do they live? Are they real animals or just make-believe? Celebor said that some animals aren't real, people just tell stories about them is all."
She climbed back up to his shoulder and stood there, holding his head for balance, looking all around the room.

Lore chuckled, perhaps at one time those animals never existed, but these days in Gaia all creatures more or less existed.
"They're real, all of them, you can even find them at home, but there's always a chance they could exist, I mean... they might have other animals we don't have back home."

"Home?" Idhril echoed curiously. "At the inn that's very very far away from here? Are there those animals there, too? Mama says we'll be going back there in a few days but for now we're going to stay here."
She sat down on Lore's shoulder and slid down into his arms once more. It was most comfortable there.

"There are animals there too, you might at least see birds and squrriels back home," Lore replied as he set her on his bed so he could put his things away.
