"Right ... that would likely be a bad idea," Ka replied quietly, reaching up to take Far's hand. He had to admit that what Farlest said next did sound rather cheesy. But at the same time ... he had a bit of the same feeling.
It was better not to be out here alone. And somehow, Ka felt safer himself while he was able to protect someone else. Or at least pretend that he was.
He had no idea what he'd do if something really bad happened. But well. Cross that bridge when they came to it.
Once he was up, he didn't let go of the other's hand either, offering a little smile in return that was no less warm. "Ok ... so ... let's try that way," he said, pointing off in a random direction.

Audun actually managed a small look of surprise as Lina addressed him with a good morning, and without thinking his brain provided an automatic response.
"Good morning, Lina."
He wasn't sure she'd heard it and right after he said it he clapped his mouth shut and quickly turned around, cusring the automatic nature of that reaction. He knew he could have just nodded or grunted or beent he usual a** and not responded, but because he slept so well the night before he felt in a decent enough mood to try and be social.
Key word - try.

Far was quite apparently confused by Ka's answer, as his expression showed...but then..it came from someone he loved...and that was always of the greatest impact upon him. In truth...he was frightened of what the other would think of him, and so he had done his best to hold up even though he was terrified of this place...and what might happen to them.
The loss of Ka's protection and friendship, was something he feared even more than what might happen to him.
"That way looks as good as every other way..." He murmured, smiling faintly up at his companion. Squeezing Ka's hand affectionately...he started off...knowing that as always, his friend would be right with him. Farlest had so many uncertainties lately...and right now...Ka was an even bigger one than whether or no they would get out of this forest.
But now was SO not the time to be thinking about that, now was it?

Lina paused a moment, almost looking over her shoulder at Audun. Instead she simply smiled to herself and kept walking towards the group of canteens near the center of the group to get some of the antidote that would be needed to keep herself...safe.
Yes. Herself.
Dante eventually grew tired of waiting for Greg and dropped the antidote in front of him, then turned curtly around and strode away towards Herei. "So what's our next move?" he asked his fellow administrator, taking a seat next to the man.

Sable heard Wei before he glanced over and saw him, crawling a rather noisy activity. As soon as the boy came over, he was nuzzling Rylenn and Sable quickly retracted his arm, turning to look at a pile of dirt that had suddenly become very interesting. He stood slowly, stretching stiff limbs before giving Rylenn and Weiyuan a glance. They...probably wanted alone time, or something. He assumed they weren't used to camping out with all these people. Oh well. He could probably go find someone else to talk to.
He started shuffling away from the pair of lovebirds, gazing around the wakening campsite. There was RhuZhi, but he looked like he was talking to one of his friends. And there was Audun...being strange and talking but not looking pleased about it? It was probably better to let him work that out on his own. Besides, he was talking to Lina and it's rude to interupt.
The lab tech didn't know anyone else, and Sable soon found himself wandering over to a fair-sized rock and plunking himself down on it. Oh well. They'd be moving out soon enough anyways, right?

RuiZhi nodded at Elijah and his words. Of course he hadn't mentioned his head-strong sister; as much as he was concerned, he knew she was capable of taking care of herself. It was truly his new friend, Farlest, and the boy's companion that he was worried about. What would two boys of such foreign heritage do in an unforgiving world such as the forest?
The boy dropped his hands to the ground, pushing himself to stand and wiping off his robe. "Sleep? What's that?" He smiled coyly at Elijah, shrugging his shoulders. He felt wilted, as though he'd run a marathon, but he wasn't tired in the way that sleep was required. "I didn't sleep well at all, to be honest," he sighed, crossing his arms into his sleeves, "but I don't feel tired. Just worn down." Emotionally, he was stable, but mentally he was running himself into a hole. What could he do? "I hope you're feeling well?"
Herei greeted Dante with a warm smile, watching the elven man as he took a seat next to him. Right down to business, this one was; he'd expect no less from Dante. His presence was a welcome one. "That would be up to the good doctor," he chuckled quietly. "I suspect he wont want to leave this area." He wouldn't elaborate as to why, choosing to keep his previous musings about the woman and the boys to himself. No need to harp on Kenth anymore than the rest of the group seemed to be doing.
He absently brushed through his hair with his fingers, removing any stray bits of foliage and residue before he prepared for the day. "Did you sleep well?" he asked in an almost dreamy voice, as though it was the most logical thing to talk about next. Missing people, good sleep, it all went together somehow.

Dante wasn’t used to being ignored, and that much seemed apparent. Greg couldn’t really think of what else he wanted to do, so he just sat there, rolled his eyes to himself, and ignored the other professor. The closest that he had gotten to any water was looking at the body, which they should really mention to someone, and he certainly wasn’t so stupid as to take water out of there. He knew he hadn’t because A) he wasn’t that stupid B) he still had his own antidote left in there and wouldn’t have dumped it out for lake water and C) even if he had been that stupid had dumped out the stuff he had had and had wanted to he wouldn’t have had time. They had been in and out of there too quick for him to do anything other than him just look. He hadn’t even been that close to any water.
Well if Dante wanted to think that he had water, then could think that. Greg wasn’t going to bother to correct him. Besides the great professor Dante knew everything and would just correct him anyway so there was no point.

Irame, who had stopped a bit behind Lina, smiled at Audun, though he wasn’t sure he saw it. His reaction was, in her mind, surprising, and a little strange, but if that was the way that he was then that was the way that he was.
“Good morning.” She said as well. “I trust that all is well with you?” It was a greeting that was sometimes used by Elves, and something that she was sort of wondering about with him.

"Giving up would be," Ka clarified a little, head tilting to the side just a bit. After all, he really didn't want to be stuck in here any longer than they had to be. At one point, he might have suggested staying where they were so the others could find them ... but in this forest ... staying in one place seemed to make everything worse. It was somehow better if they were moving.
As they did start moving, it didn't take Ka long to come up even with the other boy - neither one of them really "leading", just sort of walking along and hoping they got somewhere.
There were patches of darkness both of them avoided almost without thinking about ... and for a while, it wasn't so hard to ignore them. But as time wore on, they started to make him nervous. For some reason, it seemed like one in particular was almost ... following them. Somehow. Ka shut his eyes for a moment, telling himself it was just this creepy forest ... nothing to be worried about. Shadows didn't move.

The reply Elijah received rather concerned the teen especially when he noticed the toll the worry was having on RuiZhi. The loss of the two boys and his own sister was causing a great deal of stress to fall upon his shoulders and at that age and during an already stressful mission, he didn't need the pressure he was receiving. If only Elijah new how to help his friend, but even if he did have an answer he knew inwardly the only way to solve this problem was the safe return of Farlest, Ka and Alex.
"I hope they return soon," he commented, knowing that was the only way to solve Rui's problem, "And I'm sorry Rui. But I believe that everyone will make it here alright eventually." He glanced out a window briefly before returning his blue gaze back to the other teen. "I'm feeling fine, thank you. Hmm...do you know what we're doing today?"

Audun uncovered his mouth and looked up a bit as the woman whom he took to be an elf addressed him. Or at least, he thought she may be addressing him. Audun seriously hoped she was talking to Lina or a tree or something else that wasn't him, as he didn't feel the need to be THAT social.
"I'm doing well enough, thank you. And yourself?"
He slapped himself mentally for answering and then he slapped himself mentally again for havign grandparents that had beaten manners into him so well that he would answer any basic question that involved being polite. Any other questions were up for debate, of course.

Ah, that made sense. Smile returning, he rested his head against Ka's arm, tilting his head in an innocent little nuzzle before straightening...continuing his way along. He was trying to look on the bright side...now let's see...positive things about a big scary forest... Well, he was getting to know Ka better, and it was a chance to try and keep his emotions under control...and they were, nah, scratch that, they weren't helping anyone being lost out here, though the original intent had been to help Alex.
And Far was secretly hoping they would still be able to do that. The boy swore that if he saw her again he was going to give her a great big hug. First thing.
The encroaching shadows, on the other hand, were a little harder to put in a positive light, both figuratively and literally. "Why didn't I think to bring a flashlight..." he bemoaned under his breath, before he stopped...halting and just sort of...staring, paling. Had those been...eyes of some sort? Surely not. "K-Ka...I..." He would not panic...he would not panic...oh heeeeeeeell he wasn't going to panic.
Swallowing hard, his voice squeaked as he spoke, much to his dismay, "I think we should have gone another way."

At the nuzzling, Ka'hmesh blinked slightly, but figured that ... since touch was such a big thing with Farlest, that was probably a way for him to reassure himself. And as such, Ka didn't mind, eyes lidding slightly.
And when they did, that patch of shadow seemed to creep closer. Ka eyed it out of the corner of one eye, sort of hoping Far wouldn't notice ... oops. Too late.
Ka stopped as well when Farlest did, turning to look ... crimson eyes widening. He swallowed, and said slowly, "I think you're right ..." Just then, something rustled the branches in the direction of those shadows - be it the wind or something else, they would never know ...

Wei's inner self couldn't help but grin seeing Sable leave. He ended his round of stretching before gliding over to Ry. He smiled, kissing the male. "Just watch me love." He smirked a bit, going back to where he was before. Rylenn had never seen him practice his martial arts had he? Or maybe he had...among the bushes like the other fangirls...and fanboys he supposed.
He took his stance, evening out his breath. A quick move and his was holding his kick high for a few seconds before bringing his leg back down. Again. Once more. The same with the other leg. Repeat. Repeat. His opponent stood before him in his mind. A green fog that swallowed up whatever life it could grasp. And so let the fight begin.

Rylenn smiled and settled in. His arms wrapped around his knees. Oh he'd watch. He'd watch with great happiness. "So you're puttin on a show for me when nothing can be done? Tease."
His head tilted to the side and rested on his knees. He watched his lover, fiancee.. whatever you wanted to call Weiyuan. He began to wonder if they were too young for such things, but.. just looking at Weiyuan... how could he say no?? Fiancee. It wasn't such a bad word. It was... rather it made his stomach have butterflies. But.. that's a good thing.
Oh Wei.. damn it. Not.. He sighed audibly. Now he couldn't stand.

Wei barely caught Rylenn's words, a smirk forming upon his lips. Well...that...and it was just old habits to practice right after he woke up. Though payback was wonderful. And he could do worse. In fact he felt like doing worse right now. He paused, exhaling slowly, sweat forming upon his forehead. He turned away a little, taking his shirt off and ruffling his hair a bit before returning to his exercises.
Payback ruled.
