"Are we just about done here? I am untouchable. Don't you remember?"

Well, like a lot of things, this ended up being a great big nothing.

Reiko was about to get ready to do some more fighting when he heard.

"HAY! U GUYZ! U STOP! UR UNDER ARREST!"

There was the sound of a large amount of boots hitting the ground rapidly. Reiko was already labeled a terrorist. He only managed to be a professional fighter by keeping secured contract bouts. But anyway, now that he wasn't under that protection anymore, he ran over to the train and raised his hand. While turning his face to the officers.

"STOP! Or I'll kill everyone in the train! I'm Reiko! The same one who destroyed Leviathan Stadium! The highest ranked Criminal of this time!"

Most stopped temporarily as they tried to take in this.. information. As they did he was backing towards the engine... where he hopped atop the train and told the conductor to start it up

The whistles go..
-WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!-

Dash raises a brow when he sees the cops. He's even more puzzled by Reiko's reaction. His expression turns to one of dissappointment. The fight had come to a premature end.

Just when this was getting interesting.

Dash's aura fizzles out abruptly as he begins to back away. Hopefully his face and name weren't on any records, as he too was involved in the whole stadium thing ages ago. Fortunately, he sees that the cops are more interested in Reiko than him at the moment, and he uses the confusion to hop aboard the train, himself.

Well, his seeing how his "original" plan was ruined, he figured he'd may as well make the best of it.

"Hey Mr. Sakagami... There's a tournament, have you heard of it?" Dash asks as he joins Reiko in the train's engine.

"Tournament? Don't call me Mr. Sakagami! Tournament. At that stadium."

Reiko sat on top of the conductor's roof thang.. indian style. He rubbed his face down to his chin and made an inquisitive noise.

I do have unfinished business there.

"Why are we two black guys runnin from the police? Anyway that's not important. Okay Dashboard. But you better get better at fighting, I almost killed you back there."

Then Reiko's face lit up in a negative way..

Oh no! I forgot.. I went to Strata to get some p...

"And another thing.. if we have anymore team members, they have to be women. I don't wanna be around a bunch of swinging dicks."

"Well, I'm not running anywhere! You attacked me first, so I'll claim self defense! Especially since you're a "Terrorist", I'll just say I tried to stop you!"

Dash takes a seat on the train's roof as well. How he got there is best left to imagination.

"What? All the females I met around these parts have cat ears, horns, freakishly large eyes, and a severe eatting disorder! But I agree, we need someone at least half as beautiful as I am."

Dash looks back, noticing that the train is starting to get pretty far from town.

"Well I'm out." He "lowers" himself from the roof and slips through one of the side windows of the engine car. With a smile, he slips a wad of cash into the conductor's pocket.

"Listen pal, if anyone asks what happened, I was engaged in a struggle with the terrorist until he tossed me through that hole over there."

The conductor nods slowly, but before he could ask: "What hole?", Dash created one, with his fist.

"SIIIIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

And with that shout, Dash was tucking and rolling down the side of a sand dune.

Tellus still had little to no clue what was going on, but just laid there silently observing everything. "We're your frineds, Sunny. Of course we'll help you." There wasn't much more to be said really. It was cut and dried to her.

*Hono nodded her agreement with Tellus, she was up for a bit of fun, even if she did not entirely understand what was going on, Like how the heck did Vahn's brother have anything to do with the war here between Sunstrike's people and the people of Strata?* xp

Manji Kruizga.

PostPosted: Fri Dec 16, 2005 1:49 pm

Afterwards the session of viewing an adecuate location for a shop-foundation within the street assigned for certain matters, Manji settles his conscience upon another objective and as he pinpoints his optics onto the variant heavenly body, he paces towards the train stration of Strata upon Titan's Glory.

Minutes later...
With a last review of the infrastructure of Strata over a map positioned east of the information booth, he verbalizes his depart with a simplicity, a stare, though simulating his depart it also shows his return to the city to develop the continuity of his personal objectives.
After all of that, vehicle activates and seemingly breaches a high-velocity upon the straight track, the modified wheels leaving trails as the metal-track is defigured by the turns of the train..

Hours later...
Upon hours of sitting and session of withholding his patience that didn't have any much resistance he accurately pinpoints his sight upon a city, Durem, simultaneous to that happening he re-positions the conical straw hat upon his head to make a aftercast of the object's shadow upon his facial feature to decrease possibilities to be identified or even noticed.
The train stops with a resonation, amplying as the velocity of the train decreases and as first as always, Manji relieves his location from the vehicle into Durem, his sight settled upon the clocktower and several of the surrounding complexes...

Within Strata, a reunion of familiar faces occurs, during the rebuilding of the worst attack yet.

Images of Vahn spotting Tellus and Raven are seen, followed by Vahn standing over the ailing Tellus.

"I mean, we're only human." The voice would sound very familair to the both of them, as the figure came to a standstill. "Well, at least some of us are."

Ashy red hair spiked out, as arms held up a flamberge across the length of both his shoulders, yellowed eyes staring out. At his feet lay the slightly crumpled form of the men that had been put to sleep.

*Hono grinned happily at the voice as she turned and spotted the familiar visage of a stranger who was an old friend too..* Kas... See Tell, sometimes you just have to have a little faith.

"Mr Kasuga!" She had never been so happy to hear a voice in her life...well, except perhaps for Tersiel's but she was still rather thrilled and it showed as she turned around and flung herself at the figure, not thinking that normally he scared the living s**t out of her.

Sunstrike learns of Babel from Engel, who allows the would-be chief to escape back to Strata.

At the same time, in his bid to gain full access to Babel, Victor introduces himself to the siren Lucind.

Images of both devils, removing Lucind from her shop in Latent, and bringing her to Babel, followed by Victor kissing the back of Lucind's hand, whose gaze remains unmoving.

Her ears twitched again and she made a step backwards, her eyes wandering from one side to the other to check how many men there were.

"..." Lucind looked back at Victor. "Why am I here?"

"You are here, because this... is where you were meant to be." He turned at a half-step, arms folding across his chest, even as steps began to echo in the distance. "I need your help... in order to realize my dream."

"What is it the world is dreaming of? And how do you want to know this dream is also appealing to me?"
With her quiet voice a little lower she added. "Besides from the fact that, in your eyes, it might be only natural I'd like it because it's fate which dictates my dreams to me."

"It dreams of peace... nothing but peace." His eyes bored into her, even as he turned, leaving her with nothing but his words to ponder, amidst the echo of his footfalls.

Now, the four individuals volunteering to head to Babel have also set out.

Pictures of Vahn, Tellus, Raven and Sunstrike are seen.

Their objective is to reach the ancient structure, where they believe Victor is. From Strata, they head directly Northeast.

Now it begins.

Ruuvan had been on the road - or sand dunes if you prefer - for so long he had forgotten exactly when he set off. He could only refer to the number of times he had stopped to refill the large tank of the H2, even though it consumed it at a faster rate, so that wasn't really much to go on - for the curious, it was nearing the fourth time in his journey.

A few dunes and stressed muscles later, he could see the desert City of Strata, pure relief rushing through his mind as he neared the entrance, so he gunned the engine and ripped towards it without hindrance for the beating his arms were getting. Soon enough, the H2 hit the smooth city streets, bringing Ruu to an almost complete stop at the lack of control he needed to exact on the vehicle, but at least it was over. Just as he did when entering Latent, Ruu brought up the carphone and punched the number to RI. It took a while for it to connect, but he was soon greeted by K'Sandra.
"It's me again." He wondered for a moment if there was a prize for the most placed calls in a week's time, "If you could tell Evan I'm in Strata, I'd appreciate it." And that was it, the phone was back in the cradle and Ruu was on his way to check out the marketplace; maybe he'd get lucky enough to just buy the thing and get out of there.

PostPosted: Mon Jan 30, 2006 9:02 am

The large hummer continued down the city streets until it had reached the edge of the marketplace, or so the signs said that was where he was, but Ruu didn't care as long as he could get out of the damned vehicle and stretch his legs; why was it the last refill seemed to last longer than the others, thus cramping his legs up? Murphy probably had something to do with it, but that'd be playing the blame game.

A variety of aromas wafted through the jeep as the door was opened, almost creating a vacuum and sucking in everything that Strata had to offer in one go. Needless to say it sent Ruuvan back into his seat, his mind running with thoughts of what the smells were or where they came from, like his sense had been locked up for years and were suddenly let free, but he had to move on. Ruu pulled himself from the H2 and locked the door, slowly moving to the entrance of the marketplace and spotting a couple of people talking about various things.
"S'cuse me!" He shouted out, placing a smile on his face and holding up a hand. One of the men, a dark-skinned fellow wearing what could only be described as a robe, bowed slightly and walked in his direction.
"Can I help you?" His voice was tinted with a very strange accent, or at least one Ruu had no heard before.
"I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of the Jewellery stands." He smiled and waited, watching as the man turned slightly and visualised walking through the market himself. It took a few minutes of internal monologue, but he soon turned back and pointed towards a group of stands near the entrance, "Thanks for your time, sorry to interrupt."

As Ruuvan entered the marketplace, the aromas became stronger and he could hear the sellers shouting out, advertising their goods to passing people and trying to strike up a deal, but Ruu ignored them as he pushed his way through to the Jewel stands. The first stand he came across was run by a female, one who quickly jumped to her feet, grabbed the nearest thing and instantly tried to sell it to him.
"No thanks, I just want to ask some questions." He held up his hands, palms facing the woman, smiling widely as he waited for her response. A few more thrusts with the necklace and shakes of Ruu's head brought her to sit back down and look at him, waiting for the question, "I need to know of any sellers around here shouting about a rare-looking stone, a ruby with markings maybe?" It was apparent from her facial expression she knew the man and was also in close contest with him, but she nodded her head towards the next stall down, which was noticeably busier than hers, before quickly grabbing another item and attempting to sell it to the man standing behind Ruu.

Ruuvan waited for the stall to quieten down, though he was waiting some time as the man had obvious market talent, but a gap soon appeared and he quickly stepped towards the stall. His eyes, well one real and the other digitalised by the eyepatch, instantly fell upon a round Ruby lying in the pile, a strange rune engraved onto it.
"Taking an interest in my latest find I see, eh?" Standing before him was the man he had met at the front gate, a broad smile on his face as he turned around from his money box, "I knew you'd be looking for this... we don't get your type coming in much." Ruu assumed he was talking about the military, what with his bullet proof vest and various pouches for ammo or smaller weapons.
"Well it is a rare beauty, mind if I touch it?" The man shook his head and handed the stone to him, slowly lowering his stance and staring at the stone as his customer held onto it. Ruuvan traced his fingers over the engraving and turned it around in his hands, waiting for something to show him the guardian was present, but there was no such glow. The previous guardian had contacted him through the orb, so perhaps that meant some kind of soul had to be in it before it was active, but Ruu was only speculating, "How much?"
"You mean you're going to buy it?!" The man's eyes widened and he jumped around behind the stall, "I've been trying to sell it since I got it; no one seems to want flawed stones." Flawed? It was just a rune, but perhaps people didn't hold those things as dear as Evan did, "Ten thousand and it's yours!"
"Alright then, pal." Ruuvan reached into his jacket pocket and retrieved the wad of cash he had in case such problems arose. He started to count out ten thousand whilst asking another question, "I'd also like to know who sold it to you."
"Fifteen thousand..." The man was still smiling, though now it was more like a grin, "Buyer/Seller confidentiality."

At a tavern a few blocks away from the market, fifteen thousand shorter than he was when entering Strata, Ruuvan walked in and headed directly to what he assumed was the bar. He wasn't in the mood to give the barman any money for the information, so his voice held little happiness and was quite stern.
"Who's been talking about a cave or rare stone around here?" Taking a deep breath and look directly into Ruu's one eye, though not for long as staring down a one-eyed man was never easy, he nodded towards someone sitting off to the side. Ruuvan nodded and pushed off the bar, taking a seat opposite the man as he did with the old guy. He took the ruby from his jacket and set it on the table between the two, "I need to know where you got this."

"Hn... this little thing?"

Sitting in front of him was not an old man, but a young woman. Early twenties, red hair, blue eyes. Slightly tanned and sporting a good figure that was strengthened from her time in desert excavations and expiditions. "I actually dug it out from the tunnels underneath the Barthavos Desert. The damn thing is flawed, though. Of course, that's what everyone else thinks."

She grinned excitedly. "This marking here is a symbol of some sort of power. I don't know which, but it's worth more than these petty people can even imagine! If only I could tell what it was used for..." she frowned, slightly puzzled.

Then she shrugged and looked at Ruuvan quizzically. "Why, pray tell, do you want to know?"

::You do not try to food from a wolf. You do not tickle the lions belly, you do not stand between some children and their shiny's.

There was a shiny on this table, a very big shiny. It was carved and extra special, and the soul trapped within it only made it glow all the more. He needed it, he needed it yesterday, he needed it before he was born, he needed it like he needed to breathe, he needed it NOW.

There was a flash, a blur, and a swath of black lunged zoomed across the table in little more than a blink. Two sandy footprints marked where the gem once was, and all beer and what not that was upon this table was now knocked off leaving a messy trail directly to the culprit. The culprit was eager, but not smart, he had stopped not even 5 feet away from the table, completely in view and a sort of growling was heard as he tried to eat his way through the ruby. It would never happen, but he would try.

His back was to Ruuvan and the unknown man, but he could still be seen. He wore a black jacket with a stylized skull insignia on its back. His black jacket gave way to silver lining the edge of hs sleave. His black hair was blown wildly by his vicious actions. His black eyes were not souless at all. It they merely seemed to be a very very dark brown. And...most obviously....he was a child. He looked no more than 9-11 years old. And apparently he was...hungry? No. He stopped biting just long enough to try and...pry the ruby open with his hands. And he shouted.::

I'll get you out pretty lady!!
PostPosted: Mon Jan 30, 2006 1:39 pm

Ruuvan was about to open his mouth and explain exactly why he needed to know when someone, or something, moved across the table and stole the stone. He was in shock, if that's the word one uses, to see it was nothing but a child in a black coat that was now gnawing on the stone... gnawing on something that just cost a far chunk of money, gnawing on something Ruu needed to finish his job.

Pushing back his chair and starting towards the boy, he had to tone down his movements as he was only dealing with a young'un as opposed to a full grown thief.
"Something about that stone caught your eye, eh?" Ruu moved around in front of the boy and crouched down until he was level, his one good eye moving around normally whilst his patch remained still, but he was still looking through both eyes, "What do you see in there?" He motioned for the woman to stay seated, in a way letting her know he'd be back once things were sorted here. For now, he waited patiently for an answer amidst the biting and prying of the ruby.

Grrrrrr....

::The sound was subconciously triggered by Ruuvans footsteps toward the busy boy. It was the sort of sound you hear when you try to pull the food from in front of the dog. But he didnt attack, he was entirely too busy into his "work".

Ruuvan neared closer, and thankfully didnt reach for the ruby and slowly the growling stopped. As the childs face came into view Ruu would mention how he stopped gnawing but instead just tried to pry it open with his hands. It was as if he was hiding something wrong with his face. But it didnt seem like anything was wrong.

Seeing as how Ruuvan was being friendly and not mean, the child was more than happy to answer him, though his answer was sparsed by grunts as he tried to pry the solid rock open. And his speech was filled with lisps as he was still a tiny child::

Thewe's a pwetty lady...

: razz ull pull, grunt::

She wooking at it from da inside.

::Grunt grunt, followed by thwacking it a few times on the floor, as if trying to break an egg.::

She'sh supposed to do something to it, but I dunno what.

::He placed the ruby down and was very careful to step on it so Ruuvan wouldnt try and snatch it. He stood up and dusted off his black shorts, and black boots, and then reached his hands straight up in the air and said....::

She'sh gonna weave now.

::For a blink, about the time it takes for a cybernetic eye to look upwards, it got very dark around the boys hand, and into that instant the boy would jump back whilst slamming that darkness down like a thick tangible mass. It seemed like a massive moving cloud of black smoke focused around something which the boy had manifested into his hand and was now about to use to try and crush the gem.

It wouldnt be clear until the weapon struck something and the black shadowy cloud around it was dispersed but, it was actually a sword. And from the way the child used it he seemed to be no slouch in combat. It was a 5ft long and 5ft wide sword made out of some sort of dark metal and which seemed to be entirely forged, hilt and all, out of one chunk of metal. It weapon was twisted and warped at some points, but all 150lbs of its heft were not to be taken lightly. And the massive weapon was threatening to try and destroy the much needed Ruby.

Drawing a weapon like this in public was not a bad thing to the boy, it was normal. He needed to open the ruby...this was the tool to do it. He didnt care about anything else. To him if it shattered, it only made more, tiny shiny, and what really was the flaw in that?::
