Ken~San He sat down, but kept his eye on Athari. His teeth were now bared as a warning to keep away from him. He then wheeled around and ran through the tall grass, hiding himself from anyone that may be able to see him. Taku blinked confused before she watched Manata run of, her ear's flattening slightly as she then began to track him down with her accute sense of smell. "Manata?"

Athari snorted, his expression mirroring that of Manata. Ill-mannered creature... he thought, although he followed behind Taku, keeping a few paces behind her--far enough that he wasn't smothering, but close enough in case something happened, he thought in satisfaction.

Mwali stopped his run, turning himself to look back to the cubs and the fox- all of them he could pick out quite easily from the green grass. His large tail lashed at his sides playfully as he crouched low to the ground, rushing at the fox and batting her up into the air with his velveted paws. He managed to toss her up pretty high- but by now the young fox would know that Mwali would never hurt her. He crouched down and lept into the air, catching her gently in his mouth. With a playful snicker muffled behind the fox's body he began to run again. It was a game of "save Taku" now. They were still running for the rock where the golden lions lounged so the main objective wasn't ignored but they had reached their destination safely- hungry- but safely. The green plains gave their tired bodies new strength in their joy and freedom from the savage firekin and the glaring heat of the sun. Freedom at last, they could enjoy it.

[QUOTE="Manata]He stayed hidden. Though he wanted the company of another fox, it made him uncomfortable and confused. He had only been around hyenas, which then he was a slave. He stayed down low under the brush, hidden from Taku and Athari.

((yakutis an adult fennec fox by the way ^_^ incse you didn't know o_O))
Yakuti froze as he ran at her, shoving her body close to teh ground soon only to be in the air, fur frizzleing in responce as she flailed a bit in the few seconds she was a toy. That was okay.. okay. just.. fine. She blinked starnig down at the fast moving ground with a gulp, she knew Mwali wouldn't hurt her. But she still couldn't help her body from panicing.
Wokovu watched the scene, flipping sides and laughing as he watched her fly into the air and the automatic-fear responce. He had caught his breath, so he bounded to his paws galloping after the two grinning. "Let er go!" he giggled trying to catch up with the older lion and his 'mom' "Come on guys, we can do like we did with the boar!" he grinned back at them, hoping they liked his plan.

Sarabi turned her golden head as a splash of red on green caught her eye. She squinted, trying to see what it was. "Mufasa...? What is that?" she sat up, both curious and wary.

Koho sat up with a jolt, seeing the red also. Squinting and walking to the edge of the cave, though she was still in shadow, she could barely see the outline of a lion, "It's no gazelle...." She looked back to Sarabi with worried eyes, should I go find the children?" If there was a strange lion in the land, there would be nothing to stop them from attacking a stray cub....

Sarabi nodded. "Yes, make sure none of the children are alone. If you can, bring them to the den, otherwise, make sure they are well protected. Simba!" she called to her son, standing up. "You and Nala go inside until we call for you." She paced to the edge and looked down, watching as the form of a red lion got clearer. "Firekin..." she whispered, standing tall and regal in the watery sunlight.

He could only laugh at their attempts, a laugh that was of course muffled by his mouthfull of fox. He was making sure not to run too fast or too hard so nothing happened to the little creature, he'd not have any of that. The prince wasn't exactally a quick creature to begin with, quicker than a cub for his longer stride, but had they been his age he'd not have stood much of a chance. This was one of the many things that he hoped to improve upon here in these lands. He needed to learn to hunt, to better run, to be mroe balanced and agile. Though he was a feline he didn't learn the natural grace at all, back home there really was no need. His mind shook from those thoughts and he turned around, teasing Wokovu by jumping over his head, turning sharply about, jumping over him again and continuing on with his run towards the massive rock formation.

Koho nodded, pausing for a moment, to go over her memory and attempt to find the most likely place to go looking first. She shook her head, she had been so tired, she had let herself slip up and now she didn't know where to look for any of the cubs, "Sarabi, I have failed at my task, while I was sleeping I lowered my guard, could you tell me where the little ones went? And then I shall gather them swiftly." She stood, her tail flicking, her disapproval of herself apparent across her features. How could she have let her concentration down for so long! If any of them were hurt, it would be on her head.

Jasiri has strayed from the group, wathcing them from the shade of a large healthy tree. She was suprised at the sudden change in Mwali. He had seemed so sad at first, but now it was as if he was starting over. She sighed and rested her head on her paws. Out of the corner of her eye she could see the large rock. It was a strange sight for her, she hadnt seen something this big in awile. Suddenly her curiousity kicked in, her mind spinning. As quickly as she had sat down she was off, the large rock not far off. As soon as she got there, she walked around it, observing it. There seemed to be a large platform like rock, sticking out of another. She ran up it, all the way to the tip. When she looked down at the scene below her, she gasped. She could see for miles, the vast land streaching out over the horizon. It was beatiful! She must tell Teule and the others. She ran down the rock, and awkwardly tripped and fell forwards, right into Sarabi.

Mwali paused, watching Jasiri stray from the group. His heart skipped a few beats as he watched her- she had gone on ahead? What if the golden lions weren't friendly at all? They'd kill her! She was an outsider... and a cub. His own experences with how prides ran didn't help his paranoia on this subject- they'd kill her or inslave her. He dropped the fox gently, bursting off towards the massive rock. He was getting a cramp in his side from all the running but he focused on getting to Jasiri first, pushing himself harder. It was odd how in the games he didn't realize how sore and tired his body was from the trip... damnit why did it have to be noticable then?
He burst onto the main lounging area where he had seen Jasiri fall, roaring defensively- obviously he hadn't roared much in his lifetime. He moved between the golden lioness and the brown cub, pulling her behind hif forepaws. He was so scared... these lionesses could kill him in an instant- that's when he noticed the male, he was huge... magnificant even. Perhaps he was larger than his own father. That didn't help his fear. "F-forgive her.... she m-meant no harm...."

Sarabi had been surprised when a small brown cub had dashed up Pride Rock, then come barreling down to land at her feet. But when the male Firekin had dashed up, she had no doubts as to what do do. She backed up snarling and placed herself between the others and the outsider. Her golden head was held low, her body coiled and tense to give her the power to spring in a deadly pounce. One thought only was in her mind. Simba... she had to protect her son! Every line in her body spoke, Back Off! and she snarled again, her teeth bared and the hair along her back raised.

Nalas head flicked back and forth as she watched Sarabi quickly take command of the situation and send Koho off for the other cubs. Looking out the den, she saw the red figure approaching as well, although she couldnt see what it was exactly. Nala hadnt moved from her spot, she was frozen in the moment, when the little cub and soon the other great lion came in. Skittering back, her ears pressed firmly to the top of her head, she dashed for the protective cover of Koho, and stood wide eyed and shaking at her side.

Chakavu screeched and crowed at the lion, before she took a better look at the huge beast. She hopped down from her perch and then slowly hopped toward the Firekin cautiously, she had seen the pride before and could not be certain if this one was the one she thought. She examined his body before she saw the sign on his huge leg, she looked at the lion before she chuckled softly under her breath before a cackle escaped her beak. "Hahahaha...well I would've believed your brother or father coming out here hehehe...but you!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!"
