"Of course I'd walk around with you. Wouldn't leave you to the crazies. Wouldn't be nice to do to a new friend." she smirked, and though the smirk outwardly seemed just a fun little expression, something in her eyes hinted that maybe this girl wasn't all there, not that she went around killing people, but she was thought to be quite the oddball.

Rohan tilted his head a little, blush slightly, then smiled. "Yeah, guess so." He then wondered if he knew just what he was getting into...but she didn't look all that bad so he was going to trust her. "So the place is like a big maze... Do ghosts or other creatures live there too?"

Laramie shrugged a bit. "Honestly, I'm not sure I know everything that lives there. There are a few crazy versions of the characters in Alice in Wonderland that sort of wander around...I'm sure they were put there just for the look of the thing...but there are other random entities as well...a few twisted elves and I think a cyclops somewhere..." She made sure he didn't freak out before continuing. "But as I said, harmless, the lot of them...the cyclops is even a vegitarian..." she laughed embarassedly. She wasn't doing a very good job of making her home seem like...well...a home.

Rohan laughed a little then shook his head. "I guess that doesn't sound too bad. The manor might not be a maze...but some of the residents are a bit...out there." He thought back to when nearly half the manor got blown away because of a spell cast by the resident arch mage. That and two others enjoyed practicing their magic inside. "It's a very...magic-filled place."

"Magic is fun." she smiled, and waved her hand over her lap, her book Abarat appearing underneath her palm as it passed over the gold fabric of her skirts. "Useful too. That is...of course...if you know how to use it properly..." Humming began a bit. "I'm sure the Manor is probably a much more welcoming place than the Mansion is..."

a slender frame appeared stretched out under a row of rose bushes, one arm curled under her head, the other draped over her chest as she curled slightly, still stretched under the fragrant flowers. She sobbed silently, frame shaking though she made no noise, silently wishing she could erase everything from the memories of those she'd met in her life and start over again, possibly erase her own mind too while she was at it. She wasn't sure if she was hidden well enough, but at the moment she didn't think anyone would bother her if they thought her to be sleeping maybe. So she lay there, under the roses, mind spinning as she wished she could start over with everything she'd done.

Rohan watched the book appear then nodded. "It is fun...so long as it doesn't end up destroying things." He smiled then his ears twitched slightly, thinking he had heard another noise. It was amazing what he could hear when he was actually paying attention.

Laramie nodded as well. "Can't be blowing things up left and r--" She stopped midsentence. She'd definately heard something as well. With a puzzled look she scanned the area of the garden the two of them currently occupied.

Hotari stayed silently sobbing under the roses, hoping with every fiber of her being the voices she heard ignored her presence.

Rohan blinked and looked around, the noise stopping. "You heard it too? It sounded like crying..."

Laramie simply nodded. "But...you know...if it is crying...they might be here to be alone..." She looked at Rohan. "What do you think? Should we look, or not?" Another bite of her lip. Lara was constantly concerned for people, she hated when people were upset.

Hotari had a feeling that someone might end up coming to check on her, if it wasn't one of those already in teh gardens it would be one of her siblings. Taking a deep breath, her shape changed to that of a small black kitten with bright green eyes and white paws, curling up further under the bush, near the base of it.

Still looking around, Rohan shrugged a little. "I'm not sure... He or she might want to be left alone..."
The gardens was the first place Erordia felt pulled to. Hoping the key was leading her correctly, the drow began her search. The only reason she didn't call out was for fear of running Hotari off. So she just walked, her eyes scanning the area around her.

The key, which still pulsed in Ero's hands, began to beat harder, more noticably. Hotari could sense this, and stayed in the form of a small kitten, rather cowering.

Lara pursed her lips. "I believe we ought to let it be..." she concluded. Her train of thought lost on whatever it had been that they'd been discussing her gaze dropped to her book. "Hm...d'you read much?" she asked, trying to get back into conversation.
