((Aw, I love the tide don't you?))

Lotus woke up with a start because the boat had bumbed up against something. She lifted her head and found herself beached. She tried to figure out when and why she fell asleep in a boat in the middle of the ocean and was drawing a blank.

Akira said nothing, she didnt' move but she was listening, listening very closely. She wasn't sure if she was scared or not, maybe a bit, but she was experiencing a very strong emotion that she couldn't place. She finally relaxed into a dreamless sleep.

((Sakura, Yumi, and now Lotus are all on a relatively unknown island. Only about 10 people not on the island know about it. Only one is in the Shinsengumi, one in the Meiji, and the rest just wanderers or vagabonds. So your char wouldn't know where it was. That man is dead anyways. Killed by Chaos soon after Yumi's forces attacked the island. Akira and Kashi are in an inn at the town, and Kashi has just brutally murdered a good many priests that your man just left from. All of them part of the Shinsengumi ^^;;; Anywho, don't have Lotus find the town for another day or two alright Blue? Since she hasn't been to it in a good many years, she would probably get lost the first couple of tries.))

Sakura's guard walked back in at about noontime and tapped Yumi's shoulder. "Alright Miss Yumi...you may leave if you wish. He doesn't look like he'll wake up till tommorow. Oh, and did he say anything? He's a bit...off because of his seperating himself. Because of this he can, at times, see into the possibility that presents itself as the future. Not always truth of course, but a great possibility. Ah well...probably not. He hasn't said anything other than history so far."

He smiled at her and took a seat to watch Sakura again. Sakura laid there breathing slowly without another word. What had the warning been indictative of in his mind. Was it a premonition that she would never know? Or maybe something more that would never be discovered.

Kashi watched the girl with blood red eyes and turned to look at the moon. She hadn't ever seen destruction like that except in her own hometown from those...S people. Whatever their name was, he really didn't care. Kashi smiled and leaned his head against the window sill in silence. He breathed slowly and calmly. He was in thought, resting more than sleeping. But it was more of a light sleep if anything. He didn't like leaving himself open. It never let things turn out well anyways. The day was slowly turning toward morning, but many things happen between the time that he closed his eyes, to the time he opened them in the morning. Many stories, near and far from him...

See into the future?

"No he hasn't said anything..." Is that even possible? Yumi moved to make room for the guard.

"I'd rather stay here if I'm allowed to." Suspiciously glaring at the guard Yumi sat down in one of the corners.

"So tell me a bit about this little island... I really don't know much about it, only the few things I've been informed about through my advisors and a few things I've figured out through Chaos. I'm very curious what kind of place I've come to."

Togashi arrives at the monastary, a place designated as the meeting place for tonights meeting.
They were dead, every last monk in the place was a corpse in the courtyard
Had he been able to scream it would have been blood curdling with hate of the man he knew did this.
"Now he has gone to far""She must pay for this treachery as well, their blood shall flow in the same death"

Togashi turns and follows a few footprints in blood out of the compound yet loses them shortly after.
He draws the Souldancer and begins to search every house and inn, asking for signs of the man, until finally he reaches an inn having the man within.
Togashi goes into a room and changes into his forest green raid clothes. And then scales the wall of the inn, peering up at the man just there in the window, oblivious to his impending end.

The guard twitched slightly at the name Chaos, but didn't say anything about it. He simply nodded and looked up at the ceiling for a bit. "Well, I suppose he told you that ever great swordsmaster, and swordsmaker has spawned from this island. Every child who grows up here learns both ways of that. They are encouraged to make their own style after being taught basics of defence and such. Well, eventually every child becomes something great, girl, boy, anyone. They then train against each other for years, defining, and making their style the best that can be.

"Making techniques, speed, and strength theirs. Sakura...came here with one of our masters. He was an amazing master over it all. That man had left perfecting a talent that beat even the adults at the young age of 18. For all of us...that was an omen. Well he went travelling to see if he could learn more. Eventually he took on one disciple, Chaos. That boy learned it all, perfecting it by the age of 7 or so. We all met him at the age of 5. The mater died at the age of 180 or so. The boy killed him with his blade." The guard sighed heavily at this before speaking again. "This island still accepts him, he had no mother, nor a father. He wasn't born from man as far as we can determine. He simply...existed. Well this island is mainly here to try and perserve the ancient techniques of sword-making, and sword-fighting. If we don't keep it who can truly keep it?

"Others will use words. Those won't help though will they?" He then looked at her. "Unfortunately many of the elders, masters, and powerful men died. A great battle took them, and their knowledge away. Now we don't know how to make anything like them any longer. We only have the few elders left, as well as the masters left. We are men, women, and children of the sword. We all understand that we'll die by the sword as well most likely. Though many of us wonder, why we are killed when we don't kill. We simply learn, teach, and work to be better.

"It doesn't matter any longer though. We all must continue on as we see fit." He leaned back in the seat as the day began to fall toward night slowly. The day deciding to leave them soon. Eventually it would be back to the morning. Hopefully Sakura would wake then, but that was a bit off. Still at least 2 hours to dark, and then 12 hours or so to light again...almost sad.

Togashi creeps to the window of the inn and peers around the corner, the man and girl fast asleep.
At least it looked that way.
"A gift"*hushed*
Togashi emptys a canister of fresh scorpions into the room and then tosses a small blood ball onto each of the sleepers,
They would be dead in less than five minutes. He crawls to the far end of the inn and watches the window for signs of their pain.

((That guard is about 100-200 miles away from Togashi ^^;;;; He's somewhere in the ocean.))

Kashi didn't move, but he knew the man was right there. If he tried to attack he would find he had no hand, and no wall to hold onto within moments. His aura was nearly dead evil, or dead insane. It was hard to tell. He breathed evenly, showing no signs that he was awake...none at all...

Akira jerked awake for some unknown reason. She lay in bed for awhile not knowing why but then she peeked out from the foot of the bed and found herself face to face with a scorpion. She let out a loud, shrill scream and reflex took over. One of her hidden knives was in her hand and it flashed forth, slicing the arachnid in two. She looked at the floor and saw more, she whimpered and backed up.

Kashi on the other hand, didn't even move. The scorpian stung him, and then he opened his eyes. Yet, he wasn't disturbed, in fact he smiled. "Ah a friend for me? How kind of them." Kashi picks the scorpian up and bites half the body off. It tries to sting him again to no avial.

Kashi tosses the thing from the window and rises looking at Akira. "You fear child. You fear with me keeping you safe. It's almost...sad." He then stomped on the 5 remaining menaces in the room. They died quickly and he looked at the girl. "Do bugs make you fear that much? They are only scorpians. Once you know them, none of the poison they hold works on you. The basic property of it can't work."

The man smiles and walks back to the window to sit down. He had tossed the blood ball out the window already. He looked out the window, his blood red eyes finding the attempting assassin. "You won't kill me. No one can kill me old man." He chuckles, saying this to the air. Whether or not it reached that man depended upon his hearing.

"Oh sorry, just realized I used the name CH... I mean the old name for Sakura. Didn't mean to, I'm just too used to it..." She smiled nervously.

"Sounds like an interesting island... I grew up in an environment very different from this... that's why it took me a while before I became good with swords..." Yumi would never had thought Chaos did such a thing. I guess he's darker than I thought at first, now he's even more interesting... She looked at the sleeping man.

"So do you know why Sakura suddenly changed so much? I mean he probably didn't just wake up on morning an realize he wants to change..."

Chaos Sakura

((Kashi is badass whee ))

Togashi sees the man in the widow, his true form down in the street, hidden in a basket.
He grimices at his failure. He creeps up and Stretches out his hand flinging a night shuriken into the windowsill, directly beside Kasis hand. the shuriken held a message.
"Triators"

He disapears into the darkness, his planning having to be rethought and addapted to this beast pretending to be a man.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2005 8:59 am

((w00t, I know he is ^^))

The shuriken didn't hit the window sill. Kashi's hand shot out catching it in the air before it even got close enough. He lifted it to his eyes and looked at the message. He chuckled and then the shuriken darted down into the ground. He wasn't aiming for anything, except that beetle. That beetle that was now dead, a shuriken poking from it's back. "I haven't betrayed anybody...yet. I'm here for my own purposes to kill and see blood...feh, weakling." He turned his gaze before closing the window. He wasn't a fool. He knew how to watch, listen, and be aware of everything...even invisible people.

The guard looked at Sakura and nods a bit. "It's alright. We all forget from time to time about things. And habit creates a monster in us no? And not all of us train from the day we can do so with, or without penalty. Sakura changed...we don't know. He just came to the island one day saying he had given up the Meiji and wanted to live peacefully. So we accepted him, not like we could deny a student. Especially one who's master had the number 18 as his age of mastery. Very omnious.

"Well he changed I suppose over time, from realizing that what he was doing, was pointless. All the killing made him realize that there was no reason to it. Nothing to have and live with it. I suppose that's the reason." The guard looked to the window as the sun was rising slowly. "Well...we've been talking all night. Shame on us eh?"

Suddenly Sakura spoke. "Actually. It was sort of spur of the moment. For the reason you mentioned. Over time I had realized that I had no reason to take another's life for what they wanted." Sakura slowly sat up. "Good morning Yumi-dono." He smiles at them both, the guard obviously very disturbed.

The guard shook his head a bit. "You're up faster than we expected Sakura-dono. Are you alright?"

Sakura smiled and nodded before flipping up from the bed and onto the floor. He stood up, stretching and then looked at them both. "Well why are you still sitting there? No one has died, no reason to mourn one who lives, or guard one who doesn't need it right?" He chuckles and picks up his weapons before striding from the room. He was back to how he once was. Such an odd guy it seemed, but so...kind.

"Eeey? Ch... Sakura!! I was starting to wonder how long you were going to just sleep... It was getting boring without you." Yumi pouted, then smiled getting up and following Chaos. She still had her suspicions about this island, but having Chaos there with her made her feel a lot more safe.

"So did you sleep well? At least I did... I feel so refreshed." Of course saying that she had slept well was a lie, but that didn't matter now, did it? Then she remembered the guard and turned back to him.

"Oh and thank you very much for all the information and keeping me company, it was very appreciated." She bowed slightly to the guard then rushed after Chaos.
