"Well, you don't have to miss me anymore."
He gave her a kiss on the forehead, before pulling away and beginning to disrobe on his way to the shower. "with any luck, I'm here to stay and we can blow this popsicle stand after beating up a few people."

She wanders over to the counter, leaning against it with a steaming mug of coffee poised before her lips as she enjoys the view with a sly grin creeping into her face.
"Sounds good to me."

by the time he'd made it to the bathroom door, she'd already be staring at his toned rear-- and yes, still wearing those goddamned boots of his.
Stepping into the bathroom, and closing the door behind him, he started unlatching and removing the greaves, faint trails of smoke escaping as he freed his feet... he didn't like the sight.
"Unnngrrah!" He could never get used to the feeling... like peeling off a million tiny needles from his flesh, which refused to be removed. Like giant leeches... His legs were scarred and slightly darker, the veins standing out a lot more than usual... not a pretty sight.
"Power isn't free...eh?"
Dropping the greaves along the floor, he made for the shower stall, after a glimpse in the bathroom mirror. He hadn't shaven in quite a few days either...

It was a magnificent veiw, all be it an odd one. The fact that he left his greaves on and the weird, pained waves he was emitting worried her. Still, she'd learned to take her time in approaching her beloved's secrets. He'd talk to her when he was ready too... Still didn't mean she didn't wish that he would open up to her now. After all, what if she could help in some way? She wouldn't know unless he asked. But getting HIM to ask for help was like pulling hen's teeth -_-; With a sigh she tucks up on a chair and nibbles at her breakfast, doing 'vocal' exercises between bites.

He stood up, stretched, threw on the usual black shirt, vest, and jeans, and exited his room. The usual items were with him, too, including the sheathe of chains that held the heavy weapon at his back.
He was carried briskly through the sub-levels of the colosseum, ascended a flight of stairs, and popped out onto the inner track...well, "inner" as far as being sheltered went, but it was open to the outside.... He was caught between going elsewhere and spectating on a few matches. Either way, he was going to have to get away from here come nightfall, same with every night, same with every place. It wasn't even that big of a deal, because it wasn't like anyone here meant much to him. In truth, there were only maybe two people that still did in this world, at least in a good way. But that did not change the fact that he did not want his "secret" known.
He decided on going to check out maybe one match, grab a bite to eat on the way out of here.

The shower was already going, andwater drenched his body, steam already fogging up the bathroom mirrors as his body temperature clashed with the extremely cold water.
He'd ceased being human the moment that witch had marked him, nearly several thousand years ago.
Now here he was.
"Kids... me, of all people, with kids..." He lowered his head and shook it furiously, locks of raven hair sticking in place. "Sometimes I even wonder if its worth bringing up children in a ******** up world like this..." He growled and dug his fingers into the shower wall, nails digging in before he stopped himself from taking a chunk of the wall.
I don't even know what Sunstrike would say...
He stared at his right arm once again... before closing his eyes. "I can do this. I've fought giants, egomaniacs, stone men, martial artist masters and demons that smelled like s**t. I can handle raising two kids... that are likely to burn the world to ashes...dammit."

The match he had randomly tuned into was Serefina De Mournay vs. Mariah "The Wind". A total talk-down, but it had been unique...and those kind of intriguing matches were the reason he had chosen to host this tournament. It was over pretty quickly, and after a brief check-in with staff, he was on his way back in the direction he had come.
The moon was already out, ruling over the star-strewn vaults of a cloudless, sable night, a round shield of flecked amber casting its pale glow to the darkening earth below. Vagrant breezes from the not-so-distant sea of the Barton coast drifted idly through the forest and the colosseum's southern margins, cooling the heavy warmth a bright summer's day had left in passing.
Tossing the beaten cloak over his shoulders, fastening it to his vest as he moved, his pace quickened with each step...behind the sun, ahead of the night. It seemed he wasn't going to have time to grab a bite to eat beforehand after all, but equally, it seemed like he was going to make it, before a bloodcurling scream rang out not far ahead of him.
Stupid.

If this were an anime... there'ed probably be darkness creeping out from under the door and 'doom' lines drawn everywhere. But it wasn't... however, there were rather interesting emotional waves coming from the bathroom. The elf couldn't help but smile and chuckle as started singing scales, her breakfast ravenously devoured. She haaaad dropped the news on him rather suddenly. Then again, under normal circumstances, he should have been greeted with the kids in tow o_O!

"Wild dogs."
A young girl sat on her knees not far outside the colosseum, just over a grassy knoll and out of sight. He had assured everyone that he would take care of the disturbance, and while most did not even know that this "mystery man" was the Gaian Tenkaichi Budoukai's host, they had still been quick enough to comply.
The sight of the large, barking pack of ferocious animals was actually enough to relieve him, for it wasn't what he had been expecting. But it was strange, that they would show up here, so close to all these people. The girls' horse was on its knees, too, obviously confused, herded by the canines and scared to run.
"Want me to take care of 'em?"
He stood right behind her, now, and while he wasn't originally planning on it, the sight that followed was enough to make him draw his sword. It was about that time....
The entirety of the grass they stood upon became a mass of faces, old faces, the scary wrinkly kind...smiling faces that didn't move, just stared up at him and the girl who was experiencing an increasing level of terror.
Shapes moved in the darkness, but these ones weren't dogs.

He shut the shower off without much further thought... scrubbed cleaned... scalp massaged thoroughly through and the soreness in his mucles already fading...
It felt refreshing to take a proper shower.
Grabbing the nearby, complimentary towell, he wrapped his lower torso, after drying himself off. Walking to the sink, he grabbed his travel toothbrush and just started cleaning his teeth, and rinsing his mouth...
Everyday normal stuff for a not so normal man.
Another minute or so and Vahn would be walking out of the bathroom, greeting Sierra with a kiss and hug from behind while still holding his towell on.

The elf had been in the midst of waking up what singers called their 'head voice', warming up her vocals thoroughly. While few of her spells needed tone and pitch to be properly activated, chanting or shouting over combat could strain one's voice. She wouldn't be having any of that! So she warmed it up, just like she would everything else.
When strong arms embraced her from behind she felt herself smile, even as she turned her face upwards to meet the kiss. She settles back against her lover, wrapping her arms atop his.
"Feel better?"

"Tons." He would say, while swaying slightly on the balls of his feet. "I got a good feeling about today."
He breathed her in, closing his eyes as he let out his breath against the back of her neck. "I want to see my kids... before the ferryman comes to take me away."

I left my room with whtie bandages on my right arm butthe mechanics of the arm and shield had been repaired. I soon was outside looking to the bright blue sky. I need to work harder and train way more.

She grins and shivers softly as his breath glides warm over her pale skin. Tilting her face upwards, she rubs her cheek against his freshly shaved one, enjoying the smooth sensation.
"Nothing's taking you away from me again ashke."

Kai's arm twitched and he woke up. He opened his eyes, and noticed two things. #1, He was naked. #2, Ohgami and Vallis were standing over him. Ohgami helped up Kai, and gave him a large trenchcoat. "So, Did you lose control, or did you get paid to strip for some women?" Vallis snickered at his comment, and got the back of his head slapped by Kai. "Shutup Vallis, Lets just find some clothes for me." Ohgami sighed and pulled out Kai's uniform. "Kai, go get dressed. And do us all of favor, wear the skinsuit next time."
