Dupre nods as she asks him to watch her back as she talks to the wolves. He looks at Alina supprised that she would ask such a question. "Is something wrong babe? Why do you think she may be a Ta'varen?"

Kali gave a little frown and shook her head blinking almost too quickly as if she was confused "Why would we do that? I'd much rather have the time to look at the world about me and read while on the road. So much nicer" She said almost absently

She quickly climbed the stairs to her room. She knew what would happen if she didn't get there before the effects of the Foretelling happened. Katerine barely squeezed through her bedroom door and activated a ward before she collasped on the floor in a fit of shaking. It lasted for a minute before she could once again rise. It was on shaky knees that she supported herself though. She sank into the chair and let silent tears, yet another effect of the Foretelling, fall down her cheeks.

The servant stood outside Katerine's door until Vancelle came and gave her leave. Vancelle opened the door to Katerine's rooms, but found the bedroom warded. She didn't even know the true depths of what Katerine endured after an unwanted Foretelling, but knew it was bad enough to make Katerine grow in upon herself for quite a few days.

The shaking and tears subsided in about five minutes, leaving Katerine open to think about the Foretelling. But like always, she contemplated why she had the effects that she did after an unplanned Foretelling. If she put herself into a trance, there were no side effects; but the moment one came upon her unbidden she was a shaking and sobbing mess. It almost seemed like her body was in shock and couldn't react to what had happened. Either way, it was a main factor that pushed Katerine to understand her Foretellings even as a novice and control them.

How many nights did I go to bed shaking and crying because I had a Foretelling? The Aes Sedai didn't believe me when I told them of my troubles and sent me away. They always said that it was abnormal, but it should fade. Well it didn't fade, I just got smarter. Now after all these years, I fall into my old habits of not recognizing the signs. I should have known one would come upon me when I saw the boy. There was a feeling about him that triggers the Foretellings and makes it easy to be put into a trance, but I ignored it and had to face the pain I thought I had eradicated. Maybe I am becoming weak and should have lost my life numerous times if it weren't for the Creator to shelter me.

Katerine rose from the chair and quickly looked into a mirror. Her ageless face stared back at her. No tears marred her cheeks and she forced a smile that looked natural. Then she led the ward dissipate and walked into the smaller outer room and found Vancelle sitting in a chair.

"Are you going to be okay?"

"I'm fine now. I just needed a few minutes to myself."

Vancelle nodded her head and rose.

"I had to leave the boy with Gwen so that I could make sure you were alright. Do you want to go down and talk with him some more?"

"No."

Katerine answered quickly and firmly, making Vancelle's raise an eyebrow. Katerine shrugged it off and walked for the hall.

"I just want to watch him."

Vancelle was not expecting this answer and let the shock show before quickly covering it up. Katerine smirked at her ability to make her friend lose her perfect Aes Sedai mask while heading for the training yard.

If the Foretelling is even partially true, then this boy will be much better skilled than any think. He may even reach warder in time to be mine.

Katerine thought as she walked. Vancelle walked next to her quietly, sensing her friend's mind deep in thought. Katerine looked out the corner of her eye and remembered the reflection of herself in the mirror.

Vancelle has aged from the last time I saw her. It's not noticeable to any who see her here, but she is older. I don't look a day older than from when I was raised. The boy only looks like he lost his baby fat and gained muscle in the Foretelling. That can happen in a few months for men. The Foretelling wasn't blurry like distant possibilites are; it was clear for the people, not the surroundings. Does that mean that my fate is locked with that boy's? He was very distinct as was I. Surely though I would find an older warder, one who has possibly seen battle before. But I did feel that strong connection when I first saw the boy.

"I'll just have to watch and see his abilities before deciding."

Katerine practically murmured the last thought and Vancelle barely caught it. She couldn't believe that she heard that coming from Katerine.

Is she thinking of bonding a warder? More specifically that young man? If she wants a warder, she could get one that is experienced because of all the traveling she does. She was quick to answer no to my question though. Did the Foretelling involve the boy? She knows better than to rely solely on her Foretellings. She even told me herself that there are infinite possibilities in the world and the Foretellings she has could not always be the most direct route.

((Ta'veren is someone who is very 'special' they tend to bend all other threads of life around them. Its not a very good definition but thats the best I can recall at the moment, my brain is still in shock from writing 5 algerbra tests today sweatdrop ))

Lyndis had not spoken during all the time after they had found the Green Ajah sister. She had walked with them to where they were now, and stood beside the Keeper.

((nah nah nah....Ta"varen means that the Pattern forms around the person instead of them being pulled into the Pattern. Im gussing you know what the Pattern is? if you dont i will explaine. the Pattern is what makes life. the Creator created the world in a wheel form. there are 7 spokes to the wheel and each spoke is an Age. currnetly in the books we are in the 4th Age. which has happened agian and agian before. the Age of LEgends i think was also the 4th Age. the Pattern is what the Ages are made out of. each person is a Thread in the Pattern. Ta'Varen are people whos threads are different. THE FALLOWING IS A SPOLIER DO NOT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW!example of Ta'varen: in the 3rd book (whick i am reading for the thrid time lol) Rand is trying to get to Tear to get the Sword that is not a Sword. as he goes though a certian village, his Thread in the Pattern changed things. when somone is around a Ta'Varen, things they woul not normally say or do, happens. for example when Rand was in this village, every single woman got married, AND sevral White Cloaks threw down there Cloaks and proclamed that they were no longer a CHild of the Light. CHildren of the Light are Children for life. END OF SPOLIER if you did not read the spolier then i will repeat this: when somone is around a Ta'Varen they say and do things they would not normally say. they would say, tell somone they loved them even if they wanted to keep it hidden. say i hated you with a passion but i was pretending to be nice to you. if a Ta'Varen was in the room, and they were particularly strong, i would say how much i hated you and then maybe punch you or somthing. does that make sence?))
