Dumuzi was so distracted today, she didn’t know what she was going to do with herself and it was starting to affect her gaming, apparently. Out of all ten of the darts she threw, she only managed to pop 1 balloon that resulted in her getting 2 tickets. Ugh, that wasn’t a very good thing and it certainly wasn’t making her look very good at all. She supposed that the rest of the games were going to be like this for her for a while, wasn’t it? She took her tickets with a polite thank you and placed them with the rest of them. She headed off once more to try her luck at something else. Though she wondered if luck was part of what was going on or if it was her concentration that was the problem. Either of them seemed just as likely.

Dumuzi had found her way to the Ring toss, admittedly she had a bit of a mixed reaction to the game as she had a lot of ups and downs for the game. She smiled at the woman at the game who actually reminded her a lot of her mom the way she had her smoke in her lips and an amused smile on her face. She was handed her three ring and was given some encouraging words from the game’s mistress. She whooped and clapped for Dumuzi as she tossed her rings, the first one was a success, the second, not so much, but the vendor didn’t seem to be put off or deterred and continued her cheering and encouragement for Du. The final one made it, and she gave the young girl a total of 5 tickets to add to her collection. Dumuzi thanked the woman and went on her way. She couldn’t help but giggle as the woman called the next one up and gave them as much enthusiasm for the game as she did for Du.

Dumuzi decided to hit up the arcade and try her luck at some more games. The tent was fairly crowded this time around, and it was kind of hard to find a machine that wasn’t being played by either pokemon or people. She didn’t want to be too crowded while she made a bit of a fool of herself. She found a nice quiet little corner and a machine that wasn’t being used and started to play the game. She wasn’t the greatest at the game, but she didn’t do too badly either. She performed well enough that the machine gave her 3 tickets for her efforts at the end of her artificial life span which she put in her bag and went on her way. Yeah… arcades were really hit or miss with her…

Well, it was fishing time and as she promised herself before she was back at the Wailmer pond and ready with her paper net. She looked around a few moments to find what she was looking for and tried to scoop out the pokemon with her flimsy little net and achieve the next to impossible. She dipped her net in and tried to wrangle out one of the occupants of the pond but… nope, not this time. The paper net broke before she was even able to breech the surface of the water. Oh well, she knew that it was going to be hard if not impossible, she took her ticket and added it to the pile with the others. There was always next time.

Nachtigal hadn't been willing to give Aston the tickets so they could be given to Theodore, so Aston told him where to find Theodore before being dragged off to play more games with Presa. She seemed competitive this time around. Aston would happily accept her challenge! Playing first, Aston popped seven balloons at the darts game, winning six tickets for Theodore. Ha! He was pretty good at this when he tried. Aston stepped back so Presa could try, and he knelt to pet Sofie as he waited for her to reveal her score.

Luck was definitely favoring Aston so far. Presa only won two tickets again, having landed a single bottle. She pouted, clearly upset she was doing such a lousy job at winning Aston's tickets and at their competition. Aston patted her head as Sofie took her hands to dance with her a bit in an attempt to cheer her up. It definitely worked. Presa was more than happy to dance with Sofie. The next game they played was an arcade game, though they chose different ones. Presa went off to play Frogger, while Aston chose Asteroids. He played for awhile before dying, surprised he'd been able to make the new high score and win ten more tickets. Theodore was going to be packed full of them!

Returning to Two Island Huey experienced a bit of fortune that only he could really celebrate: he wasn't afflicted by his motion sickness. Instead the young boy was able to step down from the boat and onto the ground without the world spinning. It was a good sign that he'd finally grown accustom to traveling by boat, and that perhaps, with a bit of a stretch and optimistic view, he'd find some luck in today's game. Unfortunately, the latter of the two didn't hold true; at least not when it came to Darts. Huey could only shrug as he placed two tickets in his pocket. Tybalt gave him a worried look, prepared to go off on his own again and try and earn a few more tickets, but the boy quickly dismissed his fears. "It's alright." he assured him. Natalia smiled somewhat sadly as Thalia cuddled closer to her, nuzzling her and stroking her cheek with a soft feeler. She was such a sweet pokemon... Natalia placed a light kiss on top of the Sylveon's head and refocused on Aiden as they started their search for a Lemonade stand. Aiden eventually found one that had a shorter line, but there was a catch, at least for Natalia; it was being run by two kids.
Natalia grew immensely uncomfortable at the thought of approaching this particular stand, quickly clamoring to offer Aiden the money for her Lemonade and remaining where she was while he bought the drinks, but Aiden wouldn't have any of it. He took her hand and reassured her that there was no need to be nervous, giving her hand a gentle squeeze as he brought her closer to the stand. "B-but.... A-aiden I really don't think I should--!" Natalia objected, but Aiden pulled her along anyways, insisting that he understood if she wasn't comfortable around kids, but that there was nothing to be afraid of, but to say that she wasn't comfortable was an understatement. She was a murderer, she had killed people and pokemon alike, she should stay as far away from children as possible, but she couldn't exactly use that information as a part of her defense. At least Aiden offered to do all the talking. Natalia nodded frantically at that idea, tensing as she was brought to the stand and clutching at Thalia for comfort.
The twins were adorable, and one of them even seemed to be a fan of Sylveons too, but Natalia was stiff as a board, focusing all her energy into just making sure she didn't do or say anything weird. She also desperately prayed to Arceus that she didn't have one of her psychotic attacks or hear voices in her head, but thankfully nothing happened. Aiden handled everything smoothly, purchasing the two lemonades and complimenting the stall. It wasn't long before he got the two lemonades from the cooler in back of the stand and they were thanked for their business and forgotten as the twins moved their attention on to the next customer. Natalia gave a simple nod and left with Aiden, moving a bit quickly at first to get away from the stand, taking her lemonade as Aiden offered it and putting it in her bag.
Once they had gotten far enough away, Natalia finally relaxed a little. "Thank you... I'm sorry I just... I'd really... Rather not be in close proximity to children if I can help it..." Natalia said quietly. There weree too many things that could go wrong, like Natalia's Void pursuers using them as hostages, the children bearing witness to violence and other horrible things that followed in her shadow, Natalia losing her mind at the worst possible moment. Too many factors, and just because this encounter had gone well didn't mean it couldn't have gone horribly wrong. Children had no place with her, it was simply fact....
