A smile appeared on Kate's face when Nick brought her hand up to his lips,after that he pecked her lips and headed to the washroom. She knew that he had to remove the condoms so she just cleaned the bed a bit and turned on the air conditioner,it would be better for them to cool down.Soon,Nick returned to the bed and laid beside her."Good night."She kissed his lips then rested her head against the pillow,closing her eyes.
Kate forgot to put her alarm clock so they woke up late,the room was very bright and the sunlight hit Kate's face. Slowly Kate woke up,opening her sleepy eyes.Seeing Nick in front of her,naked. She glanced down and noticed that they were both naked,so it wasn't a dream after all. They really did it! Kate's face turned dark pink just from the thought about it,it was so amazing! She laid there happily,smiling a silly smile to herself until she saw the time."Oh sh*t.." She tried to sit up but her legs felt like jelly and she could barely move,Kate decided to sit up slowly.It hurt a bit but she felt good."Nick..Wake up,it's late." The blonde spoke softly,placing her hand on his arm to shake him lightly.

His lips curled into a soft smile when Kate kissed him, and suddenly all the events that happened last night filled his head. They made love for the first time and it was perfect. Nick just laid in bed for a while, still half asleep as he stared up at the ceiling. He didn't even realize that he was falling asleep again until Kate said 'have a nice day Nick'. "Love you!" he yelled out, just as the door shut behind her. With a content sigh, he rested his head back against the pillow and blacked out within a matter of seconds.
He woke up on his own a few hours later. The time on Kate's digital clock read '12:03'. Sliding out of bed, Nick slipped on his jeans from the day before and picked up his boxers and shirt before walking out into the living room. He felt hungry so he snatched up one of Kate's apples on the way out, however a small paper on the coffee table caught his attention. It was bright red and had the word 'notice' printed across the paper in large black font. Curious, he picked it up and adjusted his glasses a bit before his eyes skimmed the note. So this was what was irking her the night before. Why didn't she tell him? They were official, therefore they were supposed to tell each other these things. He had money, he could have helped her out easily. Did she not want his help?
Just then, a text buzzed in. Sam. 'Happy birthday, dude!' it read, and Nick couldn't help but smile. He had completely forgot, today was his 29th. October 30th, 2014. Which meant tomorrow would be Halloween. He continued his trip out of Kate's apartment into his own where he took a quick shower. He slipped on a pair of blue jeans with a white t-shirt and styled his hair with a few dabs of gel, though he still left it slightly untamed. Around his neck hung a pair of dog tags and a silver cross necklace. He threw on a light coat and made his way out the door, deciding to walk since he wasn't in any kind of rush.
Nick walked into the restaurant and his eyes instantly found Kate, and he showed her a small smile. Yes, he was annoyed that she never told him about her issue but maybe she felt like she could deal with it on her own, and he respected that. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Joseph's voice suddenly boomed. "Everybody sing happy birthday to Nick!" Ryan yelled from behind the bar, and on the count of three they all started to sing. Nick let out an awkward chuckle and shook his head as he his face in his hand which only made his coworkers sing louder and more obnoxiously. Even the people in the restaurant chimed in. He pressed his lips into an amused smile and stuck his hands into the pockets of his brown coat casually, gazing into Kate's blue eyes from across the restaurant.

Kate turned on the radio to hear some music,she drove safely until she arrived to the restaurant. Kate parked the car and got out,locking the car. Once she entered into the restaurant,Kate greeted all the crew with a big smile. Today she was in a good mood,in fact she was in a wonderful mood! Even though her legs were still weak and she was still tired,Kate worked hard. She greeted every customer with a smile and treate him nicely,she didn't break anything and cleaned around if there was a little bit of mess. The blonde female was in a good mood because she couldn't stop thinking about Nick. What happened last night,they were dating and yesterday they slept together for the first time.
Everything felt so perfect,Kate was so happy but the sad part was that she had no idea it was Nick's birthday until Joseph called "Happy Birthday!" to Nick. Kate served the drink to the man who ordered it then looked at Nick who showed a small smile before everyone started to sing the happy birthday song. Kate felt awful,she had no idea that it was his birthday even though they were dating each other! Of course she joined to everyone and sang happy birthday to Nick,smiling happily at him. Their eyes met for a moment before Kate decided to walk over to Nick,raising her head to look at him."Happy birthday Nick." Kate stood on her tiptoes before she leaned forward and kissed Nick's cheek softly,she will have to buy an amazing present to him but what can she buy?

After the song finished, everyone went back to their own business. Nicholas walked closer to Kate as she neared him and when she placed a kiss against his cheek, he laced his fingers with hers and smirked warmly before leaning down and capturing her lips with his own. Sure, they weren't allowed to do this in the workplace but right now, he really did not care. She was his girlfriend and they weren't going to go around hiding it any longer. After a very long moment, Nick broke off the kiss and rested his forehead upon hers. "Thank you." he finally said, gazing into her beautiful blue eyes lovingly. The amount of love he had for this girl would shock Mother freaking Teresa, he loved her so god damn much. And he couldn't stand the thought of her being evicted from her apartment. After powdering Kate's forehead with his lips, Nick looked down at his girlfriend and met her eyes. "I'm just wondering, but, uh.. you're managing your rent just fine now, right? Now that you have a steady income?" Of course he knew the answer already. The man slid his arms around Kate's waist, holding her loosely against his body.

Kate closed her eyes,laced her fingers with Nicholas before their lips met.It surprised her because it wasn't allowed at work but maybe nick didn't care about it,the two kissed for a very long moment until he broke the kiss and rested his forehead upon hers. Her lips curled into a smile when he thanked her,she was happy to see him in a good mood. His strong arms were wrapped around her waist,Kate stepped closer with a big smile.But when Nick mentioned the rent,her smile faded. There was a silence for a moment and Kate averted her eyes from him,biting her lower lip. She couldn't look at people when she lied,she always gets nervous and avert her eyes and Nick probably noticed it though Kate still lied to him. "Of course,it's totally fine." She tried her best to show a real smile before she backed away."Well I should get back to work,I have a very long day today." She kissed Nick's lips one more time before she quickly walked away from him,going back to the counter to make drinks.

Kate shifted her gaze elsewhere and his eyes dropped to her lower lip once she bit it. He wasn't a cop but he knew the signs people had a tenancy to show when he lied, and Kate was not a very good liar at all. She confirmed and then slipped out of his grasp saying that she had a lot of work today. Nick merely nodded before walking off to the kitchen where he was wished a happy birthday by a few chefs who were too busy with the food to sing along. "Nick." he heard a soft voice call out. Over the sizzling of frying pans, she was almost inaudible. He turned his head and saw Danielle, standing by the door with her hands behind her back. The brunette lifted his eyebrows questioningly. "I, um... happy birthday." With her head slightly lowered, she out stretched her arm. In her hand was a wrapped present. "Thanks." he said, reluctantly. Just two days ago, she hated him and now she was all happy again? Nick took a few steps toward the redhead and with a kind smirk, took the present out of her grasp. A smile slowly splayed across her lips as he unwrapped it and once she saw his expression, she grinned. Nick stood there, slack-jawed with his bright blue eyes wide. He looked like a child on Christmas morning, honestly. "Mortal Combat 2?! This isn't supposed to be released until January!" he exclaimed. "I know, I pre-ordered it for you." she smiled sweetly, looking up at him through big blue innocent eyes. "Am I forgiven?" Nick nodded his head, unable to peel his eyes away from the game. He had been waiting for this for so long and the fact that he got it two months in advance was just... awesome.

Kate was making drinks and served the meals to some people,her mood was good. Today was the delivery day so she had to ask Nick if he needed help to put the boxes into the basement. She searched for him but once she found him,she noticed that he was talking to Danielle. They were smiling happily at each other and Nick was very happy from her present,suddenly Kate felt bad.She didn't even know that it was his birthday,what kind of a girlfriend is she? She stood near the door,her bright blue eyes looked at him. To tell the truth she felt jealous so see how excited Nick was,he even forgave Danielle. Two days ago they didn't speak to each other at all and now they were smiling and being happy? Kate felt jealous and upset but she decided to go back to work.
Once her shift was over,without saying a word Kate grabbed her things and walked out of the bar. It was getting late and she had to find a present to him,plus she had to find another job with good payment. Kate didn't know what to buy to Nick,she had no idea what could make him happy so she moved from store to store. She also checked the shops and asked if they needed help but every store she checked didn't even need workers.
It took her more than three hours to search for the perfect present,a Lord Of Rings watch. Kate was a bit worried because she was scared that Nick won't like it,she just hoped he would like it. She also bought a few of his favorite beer. After checking most of the stores in the area,she had to choice but to go to the strip club. It was the only job that accepted her and Kate needed it. If she won't have money,she won't have a place to stay. Plus,she spent all of her money of Nick's gift and now she had nothing! Of course she won't tell about the job to Nick because he will probably get angry and tell her not to work there.

The day was filled with birthday wishes and low whispers involving his not-so-surprise party that was coordinated by Ryan. Nick had gone home shortly after Kate's shift ended and assuming that he would receive a call from Ryan, he began to get ready. He slipped on a pair of grey pants along with a white undershirt with a tight-fitting black long sleeved shirt overtop (this). He styled his dark hair with a few dabs of gel and left his short beard as it was. Nick sat down on his couch and popped in 'Injustice', grabbed a controller, and started to play story more. And just as he suspected, a call from Ryan soon came in. With an amused smirk, Nick picked up and answered with a, "sup, fatty?" as he reclined in his seat.
"Not much, a*****e. You wanna come over and play some video games?" he asked. God, this guy was not smooth at all. Since when did they ever play video games together? For a moment, he thought about declining just to see how far he would go but instead he said, "sure. See you in five." He hung up after they spoke their goodbyes before standing up and walking to his door, where he slipped on a pair of light brown boots and walked out the door. He took his car over to Ryan's apartment and parked in the visitor parking garage and strode inside, letting his sunglasses hang off his shirt. Once buzzed in, Nick took the elevator up to Ryan's floor and once at the door, he gave it a few raps with his knuckle. A moment later, nothing happened so he put on his best confused expression before calling, "Ryan?" as he slowly opened up the door. The entire place was pitch black and Nick had to fumble with the light switch a little before he finally hit it.
"SURPRISE!!!" everyone yelled happily, beers in their hands with Ryan holding a rather large cake for him. A big grin suddenly appeared on his face as people yelled out birthday wishes for him. "Wow! This is great." Nick exclaimed, taking the beer that Joseph soon came to him with. Everyone began to take turns giving him hugs and it made Nick content to see how many people really cared about him. There had to be at least two dozen people in the small apartment, most of which from work. Sam and his old band mates were there as well and everything was just perfect. Sam was the first to pull him into a huge hug along with a kiss on the cheek as he ruffled Nick's hair roughly. They had always shared a mutual brotherly kind of love. "Happy birthday, man." With a pat on his broad shoulder, he handed him a small wrapped gift before walking off. Nick decried he would wait till later to unwrap it. "Thank you." he smiled warmly and before he could even put it on the table, he was tackled hugged by Danielle. "Easy, there.." he chuckled awkwardly and grabbed her shoulders, giving her a light push off of him. "You are looking extra handsome today, Nick. I love your hair like this." she commented, reaching up as if to run a hand through his hair, though he leaned back. "Nonononono. Don't touch me, don't touch me, don't touch me." he said hastily, leaning back even still.
