The giant yet stood, though, prepared to continue the battle. Alyx fell back, giving the golem some room to make mistakes in. ~Congratulations!~
You have defeated the Mysterious Stone Golem!
The stone golem is vanquished. It steps back a few steps, dropping its sword and shield, which crash into the stone floor and quake the earth. The golem's severed head closes its shining eyes and begins to glow a bright white, the light changing shape and forming into a small object on the ground.
A stone sits on the floor of the hall, comprised of the same material that the stone golem had been made from.
The gloomiron golem steps forward and picks up the stone, opening its mouth wide and crunching into it. For several seconds, the only sound in the chamber is the echo of crunching and grinding rock. When the golem is done, it removes something from its mouth. A small orb rested in its hand, its surface rippling like mercury. The golem takes the object and holds it out to Rota and smiles his lop-sided, metal grin, small pebbles still falling from his teeth.

Rota took the silver with his left hand, and patted Little One's head. "You're a good kid." Rota turned and looked at Alyx. "Thanks for helping protect Little One. Means a lot. Rota looked at the silver for a good bit, and then decided what needed to be done. He walked over to he sword, leaned it up lovingly as if it were a body with his right hand, and pressed the silver into the middle of the blade called Abyssian

As you touch the globe of silver to the blade of your sword, it ripples excitedly, and runes begin to spread along the surface of the blade, etched into the metal. The silver begins pouring into the engravings, and the light from the braziers shimmers on the surface of the liquid metal as it bonds to the sword. The silver is a perfect mirror, smooth and shimmering as you look at it.

Rota held the reborn Abyssian II in his hands. It was wonderful. He had come so far in such short time. he looked at Alexandeyr for opinions, but in some part of himself he didn't care. This was a fantastic achievement and he was glad he finally did this. This blade would rend his foes asunder and drink the blood of the guilty...but it could be upgraded. As much as the sword tore through everything that looked at it funny, it could still be better. Before they took on the dungeon, Rota decided that he needed to do one more marathon of crafting, and for that, the fair in town was PERFECT. They had everything he needed to make his already potent abilities even BETTER. With Little One by his side to help him through the hard times, he would be able to bust rocks down for untold amounts of time.

Alyx watched as Rota upgraded his sword with a smile on his face. A sword like that had to be impressive. After a quest this long, it had better damned well be. Abyssian looked even more incredible than before, and Alyx found himself reveling in the fact that their party was now that much stronger. Extra DPS was never a bad thing, and any upgrade that an individual member of the group got made the whole group stronger. He did not begrudge Rota this reward, and instead welcomed it as an improvement to their organization. "Well that was something. What do you think it's done to your weapon? It appears to be fairly improved, by my eye." And Alyx knew a thing or two about THSS.

Rota listened to Alyx as he fully inspected his chosen blade. He couldn't as of yet read the runes, but that would change in time. They seemed to be similar in nature to the ones on the carved spheres, so that had to be significant. Rota inspected the serrations directly, and found something interesting. "Everywhere the silver is has been lightly pointed more than I originally designed. They also seem to be sharper than the forged edge Abyssian had. If, knife to my throat, I had to state what that does for it I would say it could likely dish out more raw damage and possibly cut through defenses a bit." Rota swung the sword a couple of times, pleased with the way it felt. "This is no longer the Abyssian I knew. This is different. This is an evolution. Abyssian II"

It was a new day, and Alyx polished his shiny new titles before stepping into the Encampment, wearing the title that he was most familiar with. He pulled on his gauntlet to make sure his other shiny new thing was hidden well from view. He was anxious to experiment with his newfound ability, but he needed to have patience. He would have to explain how he'd come into this power, and that would mean explaining a nigh impossible feat that he didn't want to inspire anyone to repeat. The fact that he'd survived at all was a miracle, the idea that anyone else should even attempt it is probably not advisable. He had no intention to make anyone else's experience end in disaster. His results were a freak accident, not a sign of the regular player's experience. He looked around to see if he spotted anyone familiar.

It was a new day. Rota didn't quite remember anything past when Alyx and he left the cave, but to some extent it didn't matter. He was back in town with Little One and his blade slung across his back. He didn't know what this day would bring but he was optimistic about it nonetheless.

d100+40+5(ring) Metalwork Arte: Double Cast Peerless Iron Ingot
3/3 Soft Ingots 2/2 Brittle Ingots 25/25 Coal 0/5 New ingots
Not seeing anyone just yet, Rota began moving to the forge to prepare for the coming trials ahead. He moved to the blacksmith forge to do some work while he waited. He trusted that when push came to shove, Alyx would know his general stomping grounds. Having gotten a new casting mold, he really wanted to bust it out. What better way to test out such a benchmark of his success than to excise the failures of his past. He still had some disgusting ingots to take care of, so he might as well get it out of the way. Rota took two of the soft ingots, since they were the absolute worst in quality that he had. He placed both of them in a smelting cup together, and placed two coal in the flames. This doubled up recipe would take a little longer than usual, but if he had his way it was worth it. He squeezed the bellows, glad that the last efforts were so highly regarded. He knew he had talent, but to hear that from someone of the same trade meant a lot, especially concerning the last ingot. he himself was impressed by it. He had no idea such a high quality ingot could even exist. It seemed every time he thought he had reached a pinnacle of what he could do, he shattered the barriers holding him back. Once the ingots were melted down, he pored them into the dual mold to set. he eagerly awaited how this would turn out.
