Going over as Batty spoke, she leaned in to give it a pet and ruffle Master's hair as well. "It's okay, though I can understand wanting a more stationary perch. Is he comfy?" Standing back up straight, she looked over to Xashowd, nibbling her own lower lip. "I'm not sure if I do know them or not, (But I do, Velve~ ) but they seemed okay, right?" She started to fidget looking at the door. "I-I don't know if there's a crack under there. A-are you sure it's wise to go out there? Th-then again, we c-can't just leave Sweets out there alone . . ." Slumping to the floor by Master, she reached over to pet Batty's head and maybe calm herself. Looking over to the beautiful lady seemingly made of stars and cosmos, she tentatively addressed her. "W-were there a lot of grunnies chasing you? Do you need me to get the first aid kit?" She noted the other woman was bare foot and might be hurt. She rose again nodding to Xashowd and kneeling by X. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

"I might very well need you to. Especially if others are still sleeping should another person come looking for safety." She couldn't help a giggle looking back at Batty. "You are far better as a fluffy bat, you can fly for one. Not to mention great night vision. Yup, we need you as you are Batty~"

(You two are starting to make me feel bad about killing the damn thing...)

Heads back over and sits again by Master, she smiles at Batty's enthusiasm. "That's right, and you make such a cute person~ Just um make sure you climb off Nefiriam's shoulder before you change." If Batty didn't it might make for an amusing moment though . . .

Xashowd sighed in relief. X was simply tired, though seeing her in bare feet made him a little worried for the condition of those feet. He'd never seen someone like that, so he had no idea how her physiology worked. Her skin could be even tougher than his, or it could be weaker than a human's. Well...When in doubt, call the expert. Xashowd thought. He pulled out a small device from his Holding Satchel, a little Magitech phone Xashowd called the Gizmo, mainly because he had no other name for it. He didn't use it much, since he only had three numbers on it and his friends had parted ways, but they liked to keep in contact. And if there was one thing Xashowd could count on, it was Darxian's vast array of knowledge. The man was an ex-assassin, deadly with a dagger and even more paranoid than Xashowd when it came to gathering intel.

Xashowd entered Darxian's number and watched the screen. Amazingly, he had reception in here. Granted, the device was made for interplanetary calls, but it was still a welcome sight. After a few moments, a calm and rugged voice emanated from the Gizmo, and Darxian appeared onscreen. He had his hood up, covering his hair as usual, but his silver eyes and short beard were visible. "Been a while Xashowd. Is this a business call or a social one? You've caught me at a good time if you just want to shoot the breeze." Darxian smirked on screen. The man didn't emote much, but he and Xashowd knew eachother well. "I wish, old friend. I've gotten into a bit of trouble on Gaia, and was wondering if you knew a few things." Xashowd explained. Darxian chuckled. "I know a lot of things. You'll have to be more specific than that." "Have you even seen or met a race with skin like that of the Night Sky, stars and all?" Xashowd inquired. "Not sure...Can you give me a visual?" Xashowd turned the screen towards X for a few moments. "Hm. That's a new one Xashowd, even for you." Darxian replied as Xashowd turned the screen back towards him.

"What's the verdict?"

"That you're either a very lucky man or a very dead man. I've only heard of three races with skin like that, and they're all only mentioned in legends. Never seen one before, and beyond the skin color there's little reference to how they looked..." Darxian began rummaging through some scrolls onscreen, and he pulled out three of particular note. "The first are the Galaxites. Very secretive, and not often spotted. They stay up in space and act like minor Deities, often hovering around a world and either keeping the peace or making mischief. They only come down every few thousand years, and never in the same place twice. They feed off of the Aether of the universe itself, and require no physical sustenance." Darxian flipped through another scroll. "The second possibility is the Daughters of Nyx. They're like relatives to the Vampires, but are 99% female. They have all the benefits a Vampire has, extra strength, agilty, you get the picture. But unlike Vampires, they don't feed on human blood. In fact, they can survive on pretty much anything, and their biology is said to let them consume items that most of us couldn't eat. They prefer fruit grown at night, though. Also, they are immune to all physical toxins and ailments." Darxian then moved to the third scroll, but hesitated for a fraction of a second before opening it. "The third race, however..."

"However?" Xashowd echoed, wondering if this related to him possibly being a dead man.

Darxian sighed. "The third race is the Nocturnals. An ancient race of Demon that supposedly went extinct eons ago. They were known as mischief makers who didn't know their limits, and their pranks ranged from tripping entire populations to blowing up suns for a laugh. The Deities of the time were afraid their power and wanton abandon would jeopardize life itself, and ordered them hunted down and executed. Little is known about them beyond that." Darxian sighed. "Just remember, your friend here might not be any of them. She could be something completely new, and from what I've seen of Gaia, new tends to pop up there on a daily basis. Best to keep her safe. I'll ask around my contacts, see if they know more. Anything else?"

"Yeah...what do you know of a demon named Leviathan?" Xashowd asked aloud.

"Water or Fire?" Darxian asked, a hint of uneasiness in his voice. Xashowd was surprised. Very few things could make Darxian worried. Very few. "Not sure, but given what I know...I think Fire."

Darxian cursed under his breath. The look he gave Xashowd was dead serious. "To be frank, Fire Leviathans are ******* insane. If you're talking about what I think you are, then I have a few pieces of advice for you. Keep your head down, don't go looking for it. Keep water on or near you at all times, it drives most of them away. And if it should ever find you, don't piss it off, unless you want to end up the epicenter of a 50 foot crater. Or worse." Darxian sighed in exasperation. "I don't know what you've gotten yourself into Xashowd, but if it involves a Fire Leviathan, I suggest getting the hell out of there. They leave few, if any, survivors in their wake. Get. Out." And with that, the Gizmo turned off, Darxian having ended communications on his end.

Now Xashowd was worried. When Darxian said something was dangerous, it was best to listen. His curiosity and his paranoia began to war for control. Keep seeking out Daenes, or get out of dodge? Xashowd scowled as he put the Gizmo away. He wasn't sure what to make of this. Grunnies were one thing, but if he pursued Daenes and this Leviathan, he might open up a much larger can of worms. He decided he'd mull it over later. X was the immediate situation. Xashowd calmed down and looked over at X and Gyspy. "You ladies heard that, right? What's your reaction?" He asked, unsure of what they would say.
