Merrick cocked an eyebrow. He liked Constance's idea, though he had the sense events may not allow them to rest immediately.

Kasumi blinked before she abruptly vanished in a burst of crimson energy, reappearing with a somewhat small girl who had black hair and a small tribal flower tattoo in deep blue on her forehead; she wore a black hoodie jacket and a belt with a couple of spray paint cans hanging from it as well as jeans and sneakers. Her name was Kat. "Are you okay, Kat? You helped me over the years and now, I intend to return the favor," she said quietly.

"Well we can certainly try," Cassandra said slowly. "Who knows how long it will last though..." She blinked in surprise when Kasumi disappeared and then reappeared with a small girl. "Ah...and this is," Merida asked slowly as she eyed the newcomer. She was a small girl with dark hair and a floral tattoo on her forehead. Her head tilted to the side slightly as she regarded the two of them.

Merrick shifted his weight. "A mutual friend; her name is Katrina James, and she's able to manipulate magic much like us, though she's extremely skilled in creating gateways to and from Limbo," he said quietly; he had spoken to Kat over the phone often, which was how he knew her. He saw her startled look when he mentioned the gateways to and from Limbo and it was obvious she didn't know he'd known that.

Kasumi tilted her head with interest, realizing Merrick knew Kat as well; she explained what her own words meant. "Sometimes... I was able to project into Limbo to escape certain things... and Kat found me when she was a young girl, probably no older than six, when she discovered her talent for sensing things from Limbo," she said quietly, knowing her usual flirty, jovial, amused voice was soft and vulnerable at the moment. "She kept me sane and I did the same for her, until Vergil found her; I suspect that Merrick may be their cousin," she said quietly. She saw Lorcán jerk slightly in surprise, as if he hadn't suspected that he knew something he hadn't revealed.

Lorcán blinked. "So you know about that bloodline," he said to Kasumi, who nodded. "How could I not? Damon and Mundus bitched and whined about it for fifteen years down there," Kasumi said wryly, rolling her eyes.

Constance looked back and forth between mother and son. She could tell that Kasumi didn't know her son knew the young girl. Her mind focused on what Kasumi and Lorcan were talking about. She crowed a little at the names Kasumi mention. They sounded familiar, like she had heard them solemn before, but she couldn't place them. "Damon...Mundus...who are they?" She asked slowly. Merida looked at Constance, realizing the young woman still didn't know the names of her demon uncle and grandfather. "Damon is your mother's brother and Mundus is her father." She watched Constance silently. "So...they have names," Constance said with a nod. "Okay, good to know."

Merrick tilted his head. "Damon's also the one that kidnapped Cassandra," he said quietly to Constance.

Kasumi sighed. "I had a suspicion something was off when Mundus started contacting Damon differently, but now I'm fairly sure I know why: he's taken a human body, but remains close to a portal to the nether planes known as a 'Hell Gate' to ensure he's virtually immortal... if I'm right, then Vergil is trying to draw him out," she said thoughtfully, crossing her arms over her chest and unintentionally accenting her breasts clearly.

Lorcán tilted his head at the gauntlet Merrick wore on his left hand and forearm. "And that gauntlet...?" he said quietly. He wasn't surprised when both Kasumi and Merrick shrugged; they didn't seem all that interested in demonic talents or magic, which was a very good sign.

Constance's eyes narrowed when Merrick told her that Damon was the one responsible for Cassandra's kidnapping. Well she would make sure he would not get that chance again. Even if she had to kill him herself. Constance shook her head a little, getting rid of the thoughts of killing. Where had that come from? "Well that definitely sucks for the poor SAP he took over," Merida said with a shake of her head. "Now we don't know who we are looking for. He could be anybody." Cassandra was glad to see that the demon power within Merrick and Constance didn't seem to phase them. They seemed more sure of themselves, content.

Merrick chuckled when he saw Cassandra's look as he felt Constance shudder slightly. "Don't worry; if we get a little pent up energy... I'm sure we can find ways to release it," he said with amusement to Cassandra, deliberately squeezing Constance's rear with one hand.-_-_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi grinned after a moment. "We do if we think about what and who he is... the oldest and supposedly the strongest demon short of the Devil himself to live, hence a massive ego; we look for the biggest, gaudiest, and ugliest building," she said thoughtfully. "It stands to reason that he's likely here, in this very city, as it seems as if he is gathering his forces subtly... though when it comes to when he shows himself, he'll be about as subtle as a terrorist with a full sized nuke strapped to his back," she said wryly.-_-_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán shifted his weight thoughtfully. He cocked his head as he blinked, recalling a rather gaudy building that had been constructed recently as well as the odd mysterious and random explosions that had supposedly been passed off as 'terrorist attacks by the Order' by the Raptor News Network.

Constance giggled softly as Merrick squeezed her rear end. Oh she had plenty ideas of how to get rid of any pent up energy they may have. She looked up at him with a grin on her face and a twinkle in her eyes. "Oh yeah, I cant think of a few things." She winked at him.
"And before we go looking we need to make a plan," Merida said slowly. She rolled her eyes at the look that Cassandra gave her. "I know, I know. Me wanting to take things slower than I usually do, but there's a lot at stake here. I know nobody really wants to think about it, but Constance and Merrick may be the main ones to have to do this. It seems that only they have the power to rival these demons we are dealing with."Cassandra was quiet for a moment before nodding. "You're right. I hate it, but you're right." She looked to Constance and Merrick, hating the thought of them having to do a lot of the fighting. They shouldn't have to do it.

Merrick saw Constance's grin and knew she understood his semi-subtle message. He listened to his mother's words, cocking his head. "We'll fight, if only to protect those we care about and those innocent people," he said wryly. A flickering aura of energy flared as the hilt of Chaosreaper materialized and a soft metallic creak as the full weapon materialized.-_-_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi tilted her head thoughtfully. "Not necessarily. I would prefer things to go more slowly myself so to give time to training everyone in more... specific techniques, but we may not have the time. I do know that some of the demons that I've seen can only be destroyed by 'angelic' weapons... fortunately I have some of them with me, though most of the demons are vulnerable to pretty much any kind of magical weapon," she said thoughtfully as she took a couple of steps forward as she held up her hand. Almost immediately twin balls of flames flared in her hand as they spun around one another, one crimson and the other icy blue before they formed into twin kodaichi swords in her palm, one with red tassels and the other with icy blue tassels. "Spirit weapons should be especially useful against them, and anyone can learn to summon them, though they're almost always unique to the user," she said. -_-_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán blinked as Constance looked at Merrick; he had the feeling that there was something there, but didn't say anything about it. He tilted his head, noticing the sword forming over Merrick's shoulder. Seems, if he is of that bloodline, then the birthmark acts to store their unique weapon and reacts to intent rather than thoughts, he thought.

Constance looked around at everyone and smiled a little. These people were her family, they always had been and always would be. If any of those demons thought it wise to harm any of them, they would soon realize what pain they had felt before was nothing compared to what she would inflict on them. Constance's gaze stopped on Lorcan, seeing him watching her. She gave him a little grin and nod as she relaxed against Merrick. She could see, by the way he and Cassandra stood by each other, how much they cared for each other. Cassandra had seen the body language between Constance and Merrick, and it caused her great happiness. She was glad the two ended up together. They were perfect for each other. She leaned a little closer to Lorcan. "They look good together, don't they?"

Lorcán grinned momentarily at Constance, seeing her grin. "Hai, they do. It makes you wonder if they enjoy each other's company," he said quietly, subtly referring to their own pillow play. Even as he spoke, he concentrated deep within him, sending a small amount of magic deep into the core of his being. A faint golden aura flickered around his fingers and palm, growing brighter slowly but steadily.

"Alright," Merida said as she pushed herself away from the wall. "How about maybe another movie? Unless you guys would rather go to bed?" She raised an eyebrow at Constance and Merrick, and then to Lorcan and Cassandra. She had a huge grin on her face. She was being quite subtle at the moment, but that wouldn't last very long. Cassandra chuckled and shook her head at Merida's words. She was about to answer when she saw the golden aura around Lorcan's hand grrowing brighter. "Hey, what you doing?" She asked softly.

Merrick cocked an eyebrow at Merida, mirroring her grin momentarily before he spoke, shrugging slightly. "As much as I prefer the idea of going to bed," he said as he hugged Constance close to him; he knew she'd feel his arousal as a result. "It may be better to see if it is possible to awaken from within ourselves spirit weapons as well in addition to our unique talents and if possible, do a little training," he said as he glanced at his mother when she started speaking.

Kasumi blinked, seeing the kusarigama. "That is a spiritual weapon, and unless I'm mistaken, a light element as well. They are very rare among those who can summon spiritual weapons. Monks are able to channel their spiritual energy through their weapons unknowingly for the most part, making them stronger," she said thoughtfully.

Lorcán tilted his head, about to answer Cassandra, as the aura suddenly condensed before flaring and dissipating, revealing an ornate kusarigama with a serrated black blade that had a golden edge to it along with a two and a half foot chain coiled in his hand with a weight that had four barbed curving blades arcing towards the end of the weight much like the claw in a 'claw machine' game.

Constance could feel Merrick's arousal and her smile spread across her face. At that moment she just wanted to disappear into their room, but she knew that Merrick was right. They needed to train to hone their powers. She wondered what other gifts she had? It seemed something new popped up every day. Cassandra studied the weapon that Lorcan now had in his hand. She looked over at Kasumi as she spoke, her head tilted to the side. So what Lorcan had was rare. She smiled up at him. "Hmm, it's nice. I like it.""Well how about we all try a little training then?" Merida said as she looked around. "We can go and get Carolyn and Amelia as well."

Alicia blinked, completely lost at the moment. She was utterly confused as to what they were talking about and noticed that the other girl Kasumi had apparently helped, Kat, was simply leaning against the wall watching them silently.
Merrick shifted his shoulders as he focused, letting his mind dive deep into himself as a brilliant crimson aura ignited around his hand before flaring into what seemed to be a column of flames that went out almost the moment it ignited, reveal a nodaichi with a crimson hilt and dark purple sheath that had gold flames coming from the round tsuba crossguard up to a third of the way up the sheath.

Kasumi cocked her head at Cassandra's tone of voice; she could tell she'd interpreted her words to mean the ability to summon the weapons was rare when she really was referring to the particular elemental affinity. "The ability to summon spirit weapons is actually fairly common among those like us, so all of us should be able to do it given a little time," she said with amusement.

Lorcán shifted his shoulders as he gently hugged Cassandra with one arm. "That's a good idea; I'm curious as to what sort of training it will be, however," he said thoughtfully to both Merida and Kasumi; he saw Kasumi grin and recognized it as one he hadn't seen in years: the kind of grin that sent chills down your spine.
