Amaya noted a sudden change in the boy; she was trying to contain himself. Well, he was very good at reading his company if she was the cause of this abrupt shift. Then again, she didn’t mind that he was trying to keep himself in check – it made it easier for her to talk to him since high energy always made her back off. It was just an uncomfortable situation for the child. However, the bow did throw her off. Maybe it was just because of the formal nature of the Hyuuga clan, but the young girl was not accustomed to being bowed to. She was the one that usually did all of the bowing. Then, to throw her for an even bigger loop, Taka referred to her as wise. That was twice in one day that people had used that word to describe her and she just couldn’t understand how it fit. She was young and naïve, knowing very little or nothing of the world around her. However, if that was the way people wanted to view her, the child wasn’t going to fight such a positive opinion. At least she found it to be positive.
”Thank you, Taka-san,” The girls said with a bow in return. ”For your kind words. I’m glad I was able to make such a favorable impression on you. I greatly admire your energy; it isn’t every day you meet someone with so much light to offer.” Amaya hoped that returning the compliment would make him more secure in himself. It was obvious that he was trying to contain himself since his words were measured and he was pausing in the middle of his sentences. Then again, maybe it would be best for now. However, the young girl also didn’t want to watch this young man lose himself with other people’s opinions weighing on him. It was always a tragedy when youth slipped away.
Amaya watched as the boy lifted the camouflage over his head. Surely enough, the cloth began to fade into the tree trunk, disappearing to anyone who hadn’t watched it happen. The girl noticed that he used his chakra in an all around manner in order to let the center fade in as well. All and all, these clothes just weren’t that wonderful for hiding behind. Was this actually a practical application in the field or was this something that you stopped using once you left the Academy? Regardless of whether or not it had practical application, it was a required skill so Amaya would push through and finish the technique so that she could move onto whatever else was in store.
The Keiji gave Taka a gentle nod as he made his suggestion before raising the cloth over her head, after having folded it so that it didn’t rest on the ground, and eventually melded into the wall. While the girl was glad to finally have another success under her belt, it was also a little frustrating that she was moving so slowly. Oh well, she had companionship and they would continue to assist each other regardless. ”Taka-san, the girl’s voice floated with the gentle spring breeze. ”Make sure you don’t use so much chakra; you can get the same effect if you’re just selective about placement instead of flooding the cloth.” Amaya hoped that would help him, though he was more successful than she was so far.

She really was smart, and more importantly, respectful, something you don't always see in students as young as Amaya, and even less frequently in students that were closer to Takami's age. He studied her small features again, her short black hair, her small stature, but with big black eyes, thinking about what his life would be like if he had a little sister. Though he didn't ponder over the possibility for too long, His parent never thought they could even have him, and they were getting to be older anyways, a younger sister wouldn't do anyone any good, though it would be pretty nice. He would have someone to complain about his parents too, someone to play with, and would always love him no matter if he acted like an idiot or not, but more importantly, he would have someone to protect, someone to stand up for. Maybe he wouldn't be so into his selfish concerns if he had a younger sister.
The boy looked up as the young Keiji started talking, listening to her praise him similar to how he did to her just a minute before, though Takami had a hard time deciding if the words were sincere, or just to say something back to him to be polite, he hoped it wasn't the latter. The boy quickly gave her a smile, and started to bow, but stopping, remembering how she had reacted last time to his over the top respectful attitude, and even though the boy was a bit.... impulsive sometimes, he could rarely be called disrespectful! Well, not anymore at least. "I know that's just a nice way of saying I'm impulsive," the boy's signature smile on his face, "But thank you for your kind words, they really do mean a lot," Taka watched the girl, as she went to the wall, folding out the sheets and testing out the length before flowing her chakra in it. She was getting good.
As the girl dismissed the jutsu, Takami walked back to the tree, which was always such a long walk of a grueling three steps, and turned his back to face the tree, lifting the cloak and slowly moving back until he could feel the rough, bark between his shoulder blades, which was no walk in the park! He closed his eyes, and envisioned his body, the chakra flowing freely throughout it. He then focused on his hands, allowing his energy to flow through his hands, sort of like using metal to conduct electricity, into the cloak, trying to blend into his surroundings. He let his chakra flow freely into the cloak, and felt himself slipping into the tree, feeling more secure then he had before. It was a good feeling. The boy let down the disguise, and held the cloak of the ground, offering it to the small girl, his right index and middle finger playing with a strand of his hair. "How about you try the tree next, It, like the wall has it's own difficulties. Make sure that when you get on the tree, You aren't in a place that's uncomfortable for you. That will just be a distraction." ”There is nothing wrong about being impulsive, Taka-san. It simply means that your energy is young and wild; which is something to be proud of.” Amaya had noticed that he questioned the sincerity of her previous statement, so this one was said almost sternly; like she would speak to her younger brothers. At least that way he would understand that she was being honest; though he could also take it as her being sharp and insulted by his questioning. While she knew which way she meant, it was up to the Hyuuga to decipher it for what he considered it to be worth. Now that she thought of it, he did reminder her slightly of her brothers with his energy; was that a good thing at his age. With having willingly holed herself up for the few years that she was old enough to go out and play, Amaya didn’t truly have a grasp on how people of a certain age were supposed to act. Regardless, she was still going to take the boy at face value and not think into it so much. After all, he seemed to be a happy kid…at least some of the time.
The Keiji watched as Takami sunk into the tree, disappearing completely even though she had just watched. He had it figured out; that was exactly what the technique was supposed to look like. When the boy unsheathed himself, Amaya gave him one of her adorable little smiles. ”That was perfect, Taka-san.” Her voice was gentle but it held that proud undertone that conveyed his accomplishment. ”I watched you disappear and I still wasn’t sure where you were.” Hopefully that would keep the boy’s confidence high since that was something he obviously struggled with. Walking over to him, she traded him clothes so that he could work with the wall, since the tree seemed easy for him.
Amaya walked over to the tree and paid close attention to her teammate’s suggestion. The girl leaded back into the tree, letting the rough bark dig into her shirt, before raising the cloth over her head. With both of them working together they had come up with a lot of tips and little pieces of the technique that were all coming together and making it far easier for the two of them. Maybe that was one of the benefits of working with a partner. None the less, she was going to make progress either way.
The child let her chakra flow from her hands into the sheet; this was actually beginning to feel normal, which was a massive step from that morning when it was weird just seeking out her chakra. The energy flowed through the sheet and eventually blurred and molded the fabric into the background, concealing the young girl behind it. Content with her attempt, Amaya let the sheet drop below her head as she looked over towards Taka. ”I have found it easier to roughly line up the markings and then use chakra to blur them together instead of trying to line the camouflage up perfectly with the wall.” While it may have seemed counterintuitive, it was more difficult to hold the sheet perfectly in one position than it was to have chakra blur the lines together and line them up.

She really was overly kind, and. how had the Senju put it? Adorable. Knowing instantly that was the perfect word to describe his minute new friend. He traded cloaks with her, listening as she described his latest attempt from her end, using the word 'perfect' and instantly making the boys head a little bit bigger than it needed to be. "That was pretty good, wasn't it?" but stopped as the girl went along, apparently listening to his tip, and holding the cloak up. She seemed to be there one minute, but gone the next, and the boy swore that if he hadn't seen her just disappear, he wouldn't even give the tree a second look when he passed it. He studied the black haired girl as she took down the cloak, her features were strong but soft, and she seemed to be able to take care of herself pretty well. She didn't seem like a bad person to make friends with. Putting on a smile, and walking closer to the girl, he started the praise before he even stopped, "That was amazing!" he started. "If I wasn't here, I would swear that there wasn't even anyone behind the tree! Great job!"
Takami moved to the wall, still riding on the tailwinds of his perfect attempt last time, and the girl's compliments, a giant smile beaming across his face. He checked behind him, and line up with the wall as well as he could, and quickly held up the sheet, but dropped it instantly, taking a deep breath, and calming himself down. "Don't get too cocky," the boy told himself, trying to contain his energy, "Remember when you were working on the hand seals, and you got to cocky, it messed you up a lot, Slow Down." he lifted the cloak again and allowed his chakra to move freely throughout it, trying to move it more towards the outer edges then the rest of the cloak, though still leaving a fair amount of energy in the center, but slowly added chakra to the cloak as he deemed necessary, remembering all the pointers that the girl had offered him. The feeling felt almost familiar to him now. The way he felt himself, almost disappear into the wall, he wasn't sure that he was even there anymore. He quickly dropped the cloak, another success fresh on his mind.
He studied the black haired girl after her latest success, trying to think of another pointer to give her, but not seeming to find any to offer her that would really help her, she seemed to be doing just fine. He thought about his recent attempt, the thought going through his head at the beginning, and put his finger on his mouth to try and form the thought into something someone outside of his mind would understand. "Though you don't seem to be having this problem, Don't get too cocky. That has been the downfall of many great people, both shinobi and not, and I don't want to see you get hurt because of arrogance," the boy spoke softly, implying that the words were more for himself then the small girl. He looked up at her with a small smile, the usual playful look shining back through his features. "Hey, Also remember to hold your hands behind the cloak, you don't want to have the perfect disguise, and then have your enemy see your hands, do you?" Amaya was a little confused when the boy stated that her attempt was “amazing”. She knew that it was far from perfect, but after having inflated his ego a little bit he was probably looking to return the favor. After all, there was nothing spectacular about what she had managed to accomplish. On the contrary, her successes were low quality at best and her failures were prevalent. This was something that the child was struggling with, but she figured she would. Unlike many females, Amaya was not visually inclined, which meant that she couldn’t really imagine what she was trying to make the cloth fade into. It was a difficult thought process for her, but she wasn’t ready to give up. As a matter of fact, she was never the kind of person to give up under any circumstances. Then again, that was a statement made from her relatively unchallenging, uneventful, and straightforward circumstances in life. She had faced no great hardship or tragedy. Her family had never worried about how they were going to feed themselves or whether the shop was going to go under. No, in a way she lived a blessed life that had allowed her to be raised in the blissfully naïve world of childhood at its ripest form. That didn’t mean that the small girl was ignorant of the world around her. She was consciously aware of most happenings. However, it wasn’t something that was in her daily life or that had caused hardship on her or her family. She was aware but relatively unaffected in a sense.
This truth was both a blessing and a disadvantage to the young, black haired child. It meant that she was able to grow into a kind, loving individual; but it hadn’t been in the face of adversity. She didn’t know what it was like to lose someone near to you. The girl didn’t understand the difficulties and the painstaking paths of war. However, that was one of the many reasons why she had chosen to become a shinobi. Amaya was the odd kind of kid that craved information. She wanted to see the world, how it worked, and how the various parts and pieces worked with one another. It was fascinating to her but she was locked behind the walls of the village and she was also trapped by her shyness. None the less, she was working and striving to better herself in order to be prepared when she first stepped out into the world for the very first time. At least that is what she would consider to be her first step. She was just existing at this point in time.
The child took in her partner’s words carefully. It was indeed important to remember not to become overly confident and she was fairly certain that he was referring to himself and not to her. It was unfortunate that he had to make a conscious note of that, but then again people did what they had to. With a gentle nod of acknowledgement, Amaya pulled the sheet over her head and disappeared. She was working on using the jutsu faster, so this time there wasn’t any lag between her putting the sheet up and disappearing. Content with her try, the girl lowered the fabric. ”Once you get more comfortable with the jutsu, though you are doing quite well as is, trying performing it faster like you would in a more realistic environment.” The two had covered most everything there was in this exercise, so hints were becoming difficult to pass out.

She was quick thinking, for sure, the boy decided, wondering why he hadn't thought of the idea, again leading him to believe the fact that, despite the three years age difference, the Keiji girl was more mature than him. "Eh, It's probably because she's a girl, and Mama always said that girls are more mature then boys," he told himself, trying to keep from getting too sad. The girl went on to describe how she did the technique, and explained to Takami how doing this quicker would be a more practical approach on the battlefield, and it all made perfect sense to the young Hyuuga, He gave her another great big smile. "Y'anno, Your two-hundred-percent right, that does seem more practical, though I'm not sure I'll ever use this technique outside of the academy," the boy added the last part softer, and to himself. "Thanks, I'll be sure to try that this time!"
The boy took a couple steps away from the wall, starting to push the chakra to his hands to distribute into the cloak. With a sudden start, the boy ran at the wall, hitting his back against it, and pulling the sheet up, hiding himself in the red and white design of the bricks. He stayed there for a few second, slight bruises forming on his shoulder blades where they hit the wall, taking most of the impact, but the boy knew that in battle, bruised shoulders was a better choice then death. The boy pulled the cloak down with a huge smile on his face, longing to try again, but stopping himself because of their polite formalities of taking turns. He stepped away from the wall and toward the small girl, standing more then a foot taller then her, he felt like a giant. A gentle giant, wondering if anyone tried to push her around because of her size. "That's just the bottom of the barrel, it's wrong. She's just a small girl!" he decided, looking at the little girl, vowing to himself to protect her if anyone ever decided to try and pick on her, though he guessed it wouldn't happen here at the academy, all the students and the teachers were very nice and respectful, and she seemed to be on pretty good terms with the Jonin. Takami looked at the wall, and then to the girl, advice forming in his mind, but taking about a half minute or so for a good solid comment, since the two had helped each other so much already. "Aha!" he said coming up with the perfect comment, relating to the style the two just tried, "If your in a hurry, make sure you don't hit your head, It can cause you to drop your cover and get attacked, and we don't want that to happen" [+1 Amaya] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Kakuremino no Jutsu (Cloak of Invisibility Technique) Description: This Jutsu is where one uses a cloak or a piece of cloth to make oneself blend in with the background, interpreting oneself invisible. Inechi Shironaegi Hp: 40 / 40 Cp: 48 / 48 MHp: 44 / 44 After he was finished with talking to Sakurayuki, the boy headed back into the class room and just took a seat. He paid little to no attention to the late additions to the class as he would most likely almost never interact with them in his time left at the Academy. Shiro knew that he was close to graduating, he was scheduled to learn the only required jutsu that he had left that afternoon. Beyond that he'd have to wait for others to become ready but he'd be able to train and improve upon his basic skills. Essentially working toward making himself a more desirable candidate for a genin squad. Knowing that the first order of business for the afternoon was a lecture on the difference between Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, Shiro kind of just tuned out for a little while since he'd already heard about the differences from his mother. Shiro didn't tune back in until Obieko-sensei started talking about the Kakuremino no Jutsu as it was the last thing that he needed to learn before he was eligible to graduate from the Academy. Shiro did as he was told and proceeded down the hall to receive the necessary supplies for the jutsu. Knowing that he could teach himself the jutsu but it wasn't going to be very effective that way he decided to seek out a partner.
That was when Sakurayuki approached him. He still found her formality to be unnecessary but he wasn't going to complain, though he hoped that she didn't expect the same level of formality back from him. It just wasn't what he was accustomed to. In fact he felt a little silly when he gave his teacher the sensei title. "It's okay Yuki-chan.." he smiled"I've been studying the Way for a while now and it's not easy to grasp the true meaning." Before continuing his fingers tapped together a little nervously "It's even harder to explain." As he spoke his face felt hot, there was something about the way that Sakurayuki was acting which made him feel, ...weird. The tension he was feeling only broke when she finally asked if he wanted to work on the jutsu training her."Of course I'd like to train with you. It'll make learning this much more fun. Amaya was glad for two reasons. Firstly was that Taka seemed to appreciate her thinking on the technique. Secondly was the fact that he too questioned the applicable nature of the exercise. Sure, it would undoubted help with chakra control and stealth, but it didn’t seem wise to carry around the sheets. Was there a way to blend into things without the use of the sheets? Perhaps that was the further application of this. Then again, she had never heard any students talking about it; that she could recall at the moment. Plus, what happened when a shinobi changed locations? Would they have to acquire a brand new set of sheets? Nothing about this training seemed practical, but Amaya also wasn’t one to outwardly contest a proven teaching method. If it worked before there was no reason for it to stop working at this point in time.
The child watched curiously as the boy moved away from the wall that he was supposed to be blended too. Amaya startled when Takami went running into the wall, actually hitting it as he spun around. It sounded like it would have been painful and the girl was sure there would be marks in either him or the wall, but it was his doing. Once he explained what he was doing, though, the girl just smiled with a slight shake of her head. ”Please don’t hurt yourself, Taka-san, this is just training.” It took a moment for the girl to ponder on the situation, but not long in comparison to how long it took him to think up what to say. ”I think if you’re running from someone, they would be close enough to hear you run into the wall and they would be able to find you. If you were just hiding there would be no need for running into your camouflage, if that makes sense. Though it was quite impressive.” Amaya added in that last little part to try and keep Taka from getting depressed. He was a very emotional kid and the young girl really didn’t want to deal with that right now.
Letting out a gentle breath, the girl lifted the cloak up but failed to successfully blur the edges. This was a somewhat frustrating endeavor for her, but she also wasn’t going to become disheartened or give up. No, this was just one of many numerous bumps that were bound to happen along the way. Though she had failed that attempt, the girl decided to still give him a little advice. ”Instead of running into the wall maybe just try infusing your chakra as you lift it over your head. Even try it before hand so that when it comes up you are already blending in with the background.”

He imagined himself, running from an enemy in battle, pulling the cloak up and hitting his back against the background, recalling the loud noise from before when he had hit his back against the wall. His advice didn't seem to be overly helpful though, and that kind sucked, but the boy quickly picked himself up and smiled over at the girl, giving a bow to say thank you for the advice.
The boy stood with his back pressing against the brick wall that he was going to disguise himself into. He pushed his chakra in to the cloak, and quickly pulled the white sheet over his head. He knew right away that it was too much, knowing that the edges were probably blurred, though he didn't feel it as much in the center. The boy quickly let down the cloak, and threw it over the shoulder, sitting down against the wall to wait for the girl's turn. "Y'anno, I told you earlier to make sure that you have enough chakra in the sheets? Well make sure you don't have too much, so that the edges blur too much, that's an equally bad problem!" Again with the bowing; then again it really wasn’t a surprise anymore. After all, Takami was from a very formal clan. The girl gently declined her head in a nod, but she was done bowing for now. After all, at this point in time Amaya and Takami could be considered equals. Plus, she was just getting tired of bowing. It was very rare that she had to bow at home. That was reserved for returning home and initial morning greetings followed by giggling and hugs. The small girl really did live a blessed existence in comparison to most that grew up in clans, which she was thankful for every day. While Amaya had always wondered what it would be like to grow up in a family of shinobi she was also glad she hadn’t. Many of her classmates, though they probably would never acknowledge it, were there because that was what was expected of them and that was the only way to gain any worth in the clan. That would be such a difficult way to live. Instead, the small black haired girl had an environment in which she was encouraged to explore and to discover her own passions; though she had been notably pushed towards the forge. However, if that was the most prodding she had ever had to deal with she was still living a comparably easy life.
That was one thing that Amaya would refuse to talk about with her classmates. Sure, she would tell them that she had two parents and four brothers, but she wouldn’t be talking about the forge. As far as they needed to know, father worked and mother didn’t work because she had five children under the age of ten. Well, eight and under would be more specific. Being the eldest there were times that the black haired girl wondered what it would be like to have an older sibling; someone who was there to play with her when she was little and to teach her as she grew. While that was a matter of intrigue, it was always quickly dismissed. It wasn’t like Amaya had lacked play time when she was little; she was the only one her mother had to watch at the time. She also liked that she got to experience the world first hand even if that did put her at a slight disadvantage. However, that meant that when similar occasions arose she would be looking back on memories instead of stories. Her memories were far more pure and undistorted that stories that were tirelessly repeated. Lastly, she was glad that there was no one to stand up for her. She didn’t want someone running to the rescue because she wanted to learn to fend for herself. If she could do that then she would also be able to teach her brothers how to stand for themselves. Sure, if things got ugly she would stand up for them, but if they could learn to stand on their own they would be stronger adults in the future.
The young girl smiled at Taka’s advice as she pulled herself back to reality. Somehow or another her brothers always managed to pull her focus away from what she was doing. Then again, she also needed that little touch of motivation because of how much she was struggling with the task. Amaya leaned against the tree as she let out a shallow breath. Her chakra flooded the cloak as she lifted it over her head, disappearing into the tree. Yes, that was exactly what she needed. She could feel her energy gently manipulating the cloth in front of her, making the image fade into the tree. Yes, the girl was invisible and one with the tree. More than happy with her success, the child let the fabric sag and folded it over her arm. Her default smile was still on her face, not letting herself get overly excited over a single success; though it was a very good one.
”One moment, Taka-san.” The child acknowledged her classmate so that he wouldn’t feel left out, but she had something to investigate. Amaya draped the fabric over her neck so that she didn’t have to hold it and she didn’t have to set it on the ground before she kneeled and pulled out her syllabus scroll. Gently unrolling it on the ground, the girls easily jumped from one task to another. It was obvious that she was looking at their required assignments. There is was! She knew it! This had to be leading up to something and the black haired girl was sure she had figured it out. ”See here, Taka-san,” The child started as she pointed with her left hand and used her right hand to tuck a choppy piece of hair behind her ear. ”I imagine that the Kakuremino no Jutsu is a build up to the Henge no Jutsu. In this one we disguise ourselves as a background while in the other we disguise ourselves as an object. Whether I’m right or not, don’t let yourself become disheartened by the impracticality of this exercise. Just remember that this is all leading to something.” While there was the distinct possibility that she was wrong and her advice didn’t pertain to anything technical, Amaya hoped that this little “discovery” would help Taka in the next round of attempts.

Then again, the boy had no room to talk, he was the king of getting distracted and tuning out, sometimes even in the middle of something really important! The boy quickly looked at his feet and then back at the young Keiji, knowing it'd be considered rude if the boy were to daydream during the middle of one of her attempts. The boy was suddenly relieved that he decided to watch, seeing a perfect example of what the technique should be! The girl blending effortlessly into the rough texture of the brown treebark, disappearing completely from the boy's sight, though he had just seen her perform the technique. He waited for her to reappear to start the praise. "Wow! I see what you were saying before about me performing the technique perfectly! I had just seen where you were standing, and then, bam! You were gone!" Takami's face holding a wide grin, he was obviously impressed. The boy quickly turned around, ending up spinning in a three-hundred sixty degree circle, turning back towards the girl, and watched her rifling through her back, quickly taking out a syllabus, and showing it to the young Hyuuga. He was impressed she even still had it. The girl opened it up and pointed to a couple lessons past where the were at, the transformation technique, comparing it to cloak disguise technique the two were on. It did seem like a pretty solid theory after all. The boy gave her a gentle pat on the back, kinda like a silent 'good job' and turned around to make his way back to the wall.
The boy placed his back against the cold brick wall for his tenth attempt, His head feeling a little bit light from all of the pointers he was trying to remember. It seemed almost overwhelming. Before even lifting the cloak the boy knew the disguise wasn't going to be effective, it just didn't feel right, or maybe that was just because his head was spinning so much, either way, the boy lifted the cloak over his head and dropped it instantly, giving only a slight attempt, before sitting down on the ground, his legs crossed, and his head in his hands. After about thirty seconds, the boy looked up at the black haired girl with a kind smile, and slowly made his way up to his feet. "Sorry, I just got the most killer headache ever, I needed to sit for a minute, but I'm a bit better now!" the boy moved back over to the wall and leaned against it, his arms crossing, the cloak hanging over his shoulder. He smiled at the girl and waited for her attempt, realizing that he forgot to give her some advice. He didn't really have any, so the boy stood there for a minute, his finger making it to his bottom lip to allow the boy to think. He always did seem more alert when doing that, or maybe it was just a placebo, he didn't care, it worked. The boy stood for a couple more second pondering, until an idea came to him.
"You've said it before, I've said it before, but we need to focus, and not just when you're in top training condition, even when something hurts, or something just happened. Like before, I had a slight headache, and I knew that if I had just pushed through the pain, I could have done better on that technique, I could have done done it successfully, but I didn't, I let the pain pull away from my focus, and if that were a real life or death situation, I wouldn't have made it out of it." the boy stopped, the truth of his words finally getting to him, making the boy remember just how often the boy had given up or quit, though it was mostly on stuff like chores or playing outside because he had a stomach ache or his head was hurting. The boy made it his resolution as a beginning shinobi to stop his stupid actions- though he didn't know if he'd be truly able to do it. He could certainly try though.
The boy shook his head and looked back up at the small, black haired girl, realizing that he had to have been zoning out for a while, and then he looked down at the ground, feeling slightly bad about wasting so much of her time lost in thought and before sitting down for a minute to clear his head. He looked around the area behind her, then up, making eye contact with his signature smile, his hand going over his eyes to shield the sun from them. "I'm really sorry for zoning out like that before and wasting your time. If you want to go twice since I took so long, that'd be fine with me, It's not like I'm in any rush, we seem to be the furthest ahead in this activity anyways!" he checked around at the other students, only seeing a few and imagining the rest were still inside getting supplies or possibly even talking to the teacher, his eyes looking down at the dirt beside him where he had drawn the faces before. The boy quickly played with them using his feet, covering them up with other dirt, awaiting Amaya's attempt. [+1 Amaya]

The cloak was currently over his legs, the only way he could think of that would let him see if it worked, without making Chisana angry. Dealing with an angry Inuzuka dog wasn't a particulary fun thing to do, as anyone who had down so would attest. Sighing he let go of the cloak and leaned back against the wall, he was starting to get discouraged when it came to this. Looking around he noticed that almost everyone had partnered up, well pretty much everyone except him. If he'd had better people skills he would have someone to work with. The muscles in the young girl’s back tensed slightly as her companion gave her a pat. She wasn’t used to being touched and she hadn’t seen it coming since she had been looking down at her scroll. It wasn’t a violent tension or something entirely noticeable, but since Takami had been physically touching her, she imagined that he could feel the sharp motion of her muscles tightening. Amaya didn’t mean to be rude and she hoped that he wasn’t going to take it that way, but she also wasn’t going to say anything about it. “Sorry, I’m a little jumpy.” “I apologize, I just didn’t expect that.” “That’s my fault, I didn’t see you coming over.” There were plenty of ways that she could have brushed it off, but there were none that inspired her at the time so she just allowed the interaction to flow. Plus, it didn’t seem like it had fazed the Hyuuga boy much if at all. Then again, he might not be surprised and they both knew that that was a socially accepted way of conveying “good job” or “good for you” without using any words; though Amaya always preferred words because it kept her out of reach of people.
Amaya watched attentively, though she stayed kneeling on the ground, as the boy made another attempt at the technique. However, the girl was surprised by how quickly he gave up if not disappointed in the lack of effort. Her smile stayed the same, but she also didn’t acknowledge his trial with any praise or any words of encouragement. He hadn’t earned them. The black haired girl’s hands rested on her knees as she watched her companion sink to the ground, placing his head into his hands. Was he that completely destroyed over his failed attempt? No. Instead, he simply had a bit of a headache. That wasn’t an excuse. While she was glad that his head was feeling a little bit better, that really didn’t pardon failing in such fashion. The small child stood at the same time Takami did, content to continue on without any advice until she saw his finger rise to his lip. It hadn’t taken her long to figure out that that was his means of showing that he was thinking of what to say. She didn’t want to hurt his head any more by making him think too much on the matter. Oh well.
Luckily for her, it only took him a few more second before coming up with something. Takami needed to decide whether or not he was training or if he was practicing a life and death scenario. First, he dives into the wall to train for a life and death situation, though it wouldn’t be practical in the field. Then he up and quits because of a small headache because it was only training. Goodness this boy was confused about a lot of things. Oddly enough, a headache wouldn’t have been the foremost thing on anyone’s mind if they were in a life and death situation. While her companion zoned out, Amaya thought about the best advice to give him. There were a couple of things that she wanted to tell him, but she also needed to take things easy on him because he was so emotional and so easily distracted.
Amaya nodded in acknowledgement of Takami’s apology as she raised the fabric above her head. It wasn’t near as good as the attempt before, but she still managed to blend into the tree; invisible to most people. The girl took in a slow, deep, quiet breath while she was behind the cloak; taking in the scent of the tree bark that was pressed against her back and the smell of the leaves as their scent drifted through the breeze. It was light but Amaya had always taken the time to take in the scents of nature. Plus, this was also the chance she needed to clear her mind before talking to Takami again. He was doing a great deal to help her develop her patience further and for that she was thankful.
Once she was content with her effort, the black haired child let the cloth sag onto her folded arms as she looked over to her companion. ”Taka-san, I hope you do not take this as an insult, but there is something I have noticed about you.” Amaya was still quiet as always and her words were careful and measured. With how emotional this kid was it was entirely possible that she was about to send him into a tailspin. Hopefully he wouldn’t take her words poorly though. ”You…you don’t know how to train.” The girl had paused when she started, praying for a better way to phrase it but nothing came to her, so she just kept on. ”You keep on talking about life and death situations and the like, but there is no way to replicate them in training. There are emotions, adrenaline, and circumstances that you cannot prepare for in those situations. When approaching training, you should focus on practicing techniques so that they are fluid, quick, and eventually easy. That way when you are someday approached with a situation that requires you to act in a life and death situation it will come naturally.” Amaya mentally scolded herself for the longwinded assistance and she hoped that this wouldn’t destroy her training partner, but it was something that she felt would help him if he took it for face value instead of taking it personally.

Fudou tucked his desk full of all the medical scrolls and books (as well as Taka's notes) and followed the class (bar some members) up to the other classroom. After Ko-sensei explained the next lesson everyone quickly paired up and Fudou was left with the luxury of picking up the leftovers. (It occurred briefly to him that he was a leftover himself, but hey, that was how he liked it. Really.) He had only left picking a partner for that long because he'd been thinking about the differences between ninjutsu and genjutsu that his teacher had explained. Genjutsu interested him very much and truthfully he was surprised that not many people had been impressed with that talk. He chalked it off to most of them either being smart (Yae) or being from shinobi clans (every freaking body else) who probably breathed in knowledge about these sorts of things from the moment they were born. Because manipulating what other people perceived and creating illusions sounded like it was right up his alley.
The next lesson was the Kakuremino and he remembered attempting to work it out with Yae before, though not with much success. He realised that it was probably because they had missed out the vital step of drawing in the final details of the environment they were blending into on the cloth with their chakra. Well, everybody seemed to be pairing up, so...
Fudou approached Yae. "Let's keep working on the Kakuremino jutsu."
