As much as Victory should have been, perhaps, hesitant or at all doubtful as to why there was a thick layer of treasure under the water's surface. He couldn't quite manage it, however, as his first thought was: Sweet Jack, I can bathe, immediately followed by: I love that jewelry!
Victory bounded towards the water, calling out to Ava and Avery after him: "It looks like the water might be perfect for swimming in! I'll test it!... Ohhh, what is that lovely cup?" He was, of course, referring to the chalice which appeared to be glowing. He fully intended to start messing with that chalice.
He couldn't seem to pick it up, much to his disdain. He took a break from trying to move the chalice, and rinsed himself off in the water a bit more. Then, renewing his efforts, he first leaned at the pedestal and tried to read the writing. He wasn't sure if he could make it out... he brushed his fingers across the markings, trying to figure out what they indicated by touch. As he leaned in, and breathed on the cup to polish it off a bit, he wondered. Well, it was a cup... Victory leaned down, picked some water up in his hands and poured it into the top of the cup.
He had no idea what he was doing. Really. His bells chimed with every move, and he relished the open space, at least-- the glowing light was a nice change from no light.

No sea? Perhaps Dabir had spoken too soon. The tentacles finally retreated, revealing a large pool of water. He stood in place, but his gaze switched between Callie and the body of water. Perhaps Callie shouldn’t get too close to that. He got off of the wall and decided to venture closure, rolling his eyes at Callie. “Good to know, but try not to jinx it.” As he stepped closer, he noticed the warmer air and trail of mist. Dabir turned toward the ghoul. “It’s starting to get wet, so be careful.”
As for him? Dabir decided to head closer toward the water. It was glowing blue and maybe it was just him, but he could see things glittering beneath the clear surface. He stood by the edge of the pool and now he could see that yes, there was treasure at the bottom. Dabir smirked and waded through the warm waters. His poor boots. The boil fished out a crown with various jewels embedded in it. He held it in his hands for a moment and he was about to head back to Callie, but paused to stare at the other treasures. After a few seconds, Dabir picked up a few rings too.
When he returned, he grinned and tossed the rings at her. “Maybe it has special effects, hm?”Ol-j-man No prob! Sounds like a plan. C:

Selene kept her eyes on Dis, but when Arcana pulled away, all the strength she'd built up disintegrated and she stared at his back as he walked away.
He dunked his head under the water, and she gasped, startled into movement, getting up on her knees. Her ankle was feeling so much better, she could almost get up and walk, if she only had some support..
She fell into the sudden hug that caught her by surprise, and muffled something into Arcana's chest. "Um.." The sound was unheard, and Arcana continued onward, determined to say something. "Um, Arcana.."
She tried to push away, just enough to be able to say something.
"Arcie, I can't breathe."

Arcana, along with the voices, would hear the singing still, despite being outside the water. It felt oddly encouraging, as is protecting him.
On the other hand, all the flowers around Melusine quickly vanished, blinking back into the floor. A few petals remained scattered on the ground from where she moved faster than they could react.
Despite Victory's efforts, the cup did not move, though upon closer inspection was writing engraved also all over the cup. "Qui vocat meus nomen" was the only thing legible on the side.
There was an odd groove in the chalice, perhaps where a gem once rested that was also missing.
Dabir would just be considered a very lucky boil today, the treasure seemed not only light but extremely beautiful, each colour stronger and clearer than anything he had ever seen.

Octavia found herself in the large treasure room, though treasure did not hold too much appeal. Still, the idea of something valuable that might help her to someday open up her Dayscare?
Well, she had left quite a few plastic spider rings behind to leave a small trail, and one of her apron pockets was dangerously low.
She took off her shoes to hold in one hand before she waded into the water, delighting as it lapped gently around her legs and felt rather peculiar through her tights. Once she was a little ways into the water she reached down and plucked out a few small rings, a couple sporting some small stones, and added them to her pocket for later.

Arel had been wandering blind. And that was a generous term, considering the fact that he had been, a couple of hours prior stuffed into a freezer and then forgotten about. Thankfully a couple of gnomes who were looking for a nice frozen treat (uncommon, stage 2 variety) also managed to free a frozen-er Ice Demon, who unceremoniously fell out of the freezer cursing the entire time as he searched for all loose articles of clothing.
A hour later found him in the practically empty festival grounds. It looked exactly like it had been trashed and put through the blender several times, and it was only quick thinking of backtracking his steps that he accidentally stumbled upon the tail end of a group that suspiciously looked like his graduating peers.
The next half an hour found him entirely lost again - he was pretty sure he saw some more familiar faces but the nice blind walk through the dark had pretty much guaranteed that he didn't see anything else. One could almost say that he was definitely not an EYE-ce Demon, get it, haha, okay yeah, moving on.
It was only by sheer luck, more dumb luck, and navigational skills that included following all of the noises and the glowing blue light that Arel actually reached the end of the tunnel right into the cave. He actually had no clue what he was looking at as he stared dumbly at some of the students gathered. "Did- did Amityville always have a swimming pool?"

"Sweeeet." When Bella saw what the cavern had to offer, she grabbed hold of Una and Rowly's hands, and dragged them forcefully in. Then she let them go, and gave Rowly a cheeky grin. "Penguins like cold water, right? And that water looks seriously cold." Arel's comment about the swimming pool was exactly what Bella had in mind. And since he'd said it.. she walked over, and wrapped one arm around his shoulder. "Well, they do now, squirt. Let's take her for a test drive!" She grabbed the ice demon by the waist, and tried to drag him right into the water.

"If we did, I sure don't remember it bein' a glowing swimming pool," Taru said with a laugh, shrugging as she looked away from the water just long enough to give Arel a wink. "Why? Lamenting that it's too late to throw a real good pool party? 'Cause I am." Hands on her hips, she leaned down to get a closer look at the water and the treasures beneath, swatting Bee away as he bounded forth and tried to lap at the edge of the lake.

There was one bright side to being a Demon, and that was that he could at least make out part of the writing. Sort of. He wished he'd paid more attention to the possible meanings of the script he was now looking at, because it didn't make a lot of sense. Or if it did, he had absolutely no way of knowing what exactly it was looking for. "... Your name? What, cup? Glowing cup? Mysterious cave-treasure chalice thing?" Victory really had no clue what its name could be, or what that would mean... And he didn't really want to supplicate a cup even if it was glowing.
Despite that setback, he wasn't the type to give up easily. He began a strange ritual in trying to decipher the cup by first stroking the cup with his fingertips again, scraping its surface lightly with his demon-long clawlike nails, while mumbling the rough translation aloud: "Whoever speaks my name?..." His fingers found a groove, and it looked like, if the rest of the treasure he'd passed was any indication, like a gem had probably been kept there. "I don't suppose your name is some kind of ... whatever this was, was it..." Victory paused, then smiled wryly. "Like Ruby, or Sapphire, or Amethyst... Diamond... Topaz... Aquamarine... Opal?" Victory tried basically every gem or not-gem he could think of, trying to trigger absolutely any response.
If that failed, finally, he would search the pedestal mostly by touch rather than sight, and then in the surrounding water-- he might not find it, but he could sift his hands through whatever was nearby in an attempt.
During his search, he took a break to lean over the cup and look inside.

Well this was interesting. Very interesting. Vel wandered further into the cave as it was more open now. Who would have thought something like this was under their school? All this treasure too! Was this some secret stash? Was Hellma really a dragon?
She wandered closer to the chalice, tilting her head at it. The object was emitting its own light, so she was kind of drawn to it at the moment. There was a strange groove in it. Like something used to be inset there.
"Hmmm..."
And so the Raptor picked up a random gem on the floor and tried to stick it into the groove.

"Oh hey! Hey! Skylarrrr---" Zeke ran forward, only to promptly stop and very nearly fall into the water. He lost himself in the gorgeous setting underneath Amityville but how could he forget that he hated water with his entire being? He preferred the mountain terrains and cave walls much more than the inviting lake in the middle. Even if that lake was so amazing, it tempted him.
Ugh, water was worse than slime. But wait!
Submerging yourself was bad .. yet washing the slime was good right? "Hey Skylar. Take a tip, take the slime off, do your thing!" Zeke sat by the shore for awhile, soaking a torn cloth from his jacket to finally free himself of the disgusting layer that had weighted on him the entire time. Water definitely won in favor of slime, as long as Zeke wasn't dunked into it. As the cloth swiped over the not-so-concealed parts of his muscle-trained body, his eyes traveled along the cave surroundings. Groove patterns .. If he copied these down, that might be useful. Except, his handy dandy pack on the side didn't have anything more than a notebook and a flashlight when he reached into it. Investigator skills, such supplies were a necessary.
No pencil. Huh, it must have gotten lost.
He picked up a sharp object, slicing it into his palm. He might have also pocketed the sharp object, which happened to be a sort of pocket-watch with a mirror reflection. The chain was broken though. Must have been people stepping on it.
No big deal, no pencil. Zeke wasn't the best as copying down symbols and stuff, drawing-wise anyway. If he just pressed a bloody hand on the wall, since he lacked a pencil, he could stamp the etchings and grooves into his notebook. Zeke had no problem with a lota little blood loss. Wounds were no big deal.
Looking into these things was always a priority. Especially when Amityville had a mysterious underground setting. It was just waiting here for Zeke, like an invitation!
.. or not.
Zeke excited!

The bad news was that Arel had never quite learned how to swim. At one point, this might have involved Cricket attempting to be helpful and making an inflatable tube out of an oversized glowing centipede (which didn't help at all), and Red contributing with encouraging words such as "If you don't sink you'll swim!" or "I'll just dissipate you myself!" (which also did not help).
Needless to say, he never learned to swim.
The problem with ice in general, along with the melting business, and pretty much everything else, is that it was not surprisingly, buoyant: as any respectable ghoul or boil who had watched 'The Titanicula' should have known. And so Arel pretty much floated face down and flailed, splashing water everywhere at anyone nearby.
It was not very effective.

"Sweet Jack!" Taru hissed, lunging past Bee to reach towards Arel. "You're gonna kill the kid! At least let him graduate first!" Hastily wading into the water, she did her best to hold all of her tails above it, just barely managing to keep the bottom few from getting soaked. She snatched at his scarf and tried to pull him out of the water, cursing under her breath.

Zeke might have thrown a shoe at Arel, in hopes that it could act as a lifesaving inflatable .. shoe.
"Arel, you should hold on to my shoe!"
His monotone drawl was helping.
Whoops, the shoe hit a helpful student.

Bella let go of the ice demon as he started to flail, and watched him float, endlessly amused at his buoyancy. She leaned over and poked him, again and again, just to watch him bounce.
Then she, ever so gently, turned him over so he could breathe. Taru was dragging him back out of the water, and Bella slowly followed after them.
"Hey, uhm, squirt?" She smiled toothily. "If I sit on you, will you float me around like a boat?"
She looked about ready to try it.
