Dr. Faust turned his inquisitive gaze upon Shina, giving her a once over before responding. "Yes, that would be good. I'm currently in between pokemon right now, so a bicycle would do well for keeping up with you young'ins. You are the one in charge, yes? You have an aura of distinguished about you, young miss. I can tell your mind to be less inferior than most. I would not impose upon you for free, of course. I do have an extensive vault of medicinal knowledge up in the old cranium, and I'm perfectly willing to put it into practice should it be required. Just one thing, however. I have the usual tools for most illnesses - bandages, ointments, monkey wrenches and the like, but for rarer cases like Syberian Mankey Fever, I'm fresh out of ground kodo horn, so I'd need a restock on that to treat such things. But we'll cross that bridge when we cross it, hm?" He finished with a smile.

Shina resisted the urge to shudder. What was this mad doctor talking about?! Her warm smile didn't so much as twitch. "Oh, yes, of course. We shouldn't need your services for much though, doctor. We have several young healers here who are getting in their practice hours, and it simply wouldn't be fair to deprive them of a quality education, now would it? And you know what they say, experience is the best teacher, after all!" Shina chirped brightly. She fished out a bike capsule. "Here you go, one all-terrain bike!"

Heal honestly dearly hoped that Shina gave the old man a bike with a rusty chain. Taking out his own bycicle capsule, he deployed it and put Gallifrey on the front basket while tying his backpack to the basket on the back. He recalled Tripod into his pokeball and decided to wait for when the caravan started moving, he would be riding along Rasha and the small cart holding Chiyo and Shikari to be on hand if Chiyo showed any signs of getting worse.

Faust's smile never faltered. "Ah, yes, well, if you need someone with more advanced techniques, I'll be here. Until I leave, of course. Because then I won't be here."
He accepted the capsule with a bow, and got to work trying to unwind, unscrew, or otherwise open the device. "Here we go... No.. Maybe there?... No, it's got to be... Grrr.... Confound you, modern technology!" He screamed at the device to open in numerous ways, including a few colorful terms I'd be banned for repeating.

Noir ran off into the underbrush. He did not like this loud new flaily human, and nope, he would not be staying around to be inspected like a strange new pokemon.

Shina winced. "Um, sir? Doctor? Press the button on the front and gently toss the capsule down in front of you." There were other ways to manifest the contents of an item ball, but the simplest sounded like a good idea for this person. "And please, mind your language. We do have children in the party."

"Eh?" He did as was told. "Well, the marvels of science, eh? Look at that, just like Drugan Bool. Truly astounding. I must look into it's workings later, the things I could learn...." He continued muttering to himself over science's advances and how much easier this device could make his hunt for the invisible pink unicorn, oblivious to all around him.

Flint looked up from his place with his pokemon, there seemed to be some kind of commotion. He stayed in place for a bit but eventually his curiosity drove him forward, Rush and Lorelai tagging along behind him. He arrived just in time to see a crazy old man struggling with the item ball. Not sure what to make of the situation he stayed silent. The pink Deerling pressed herself against the back of Flints leg and watched the going-ons cautiously. She had accepted Flint, but she was still nervous around other humans, especially a group as large as this. Rush hovered nearby keeping a protective eye on his trainer and on Lorelai.

Shina looked around, a little desperately, for something else to focus on. Oh, was that a Deerling attached to Rush? "Flint, do you have a new friend?"
Tenka grumbled at the way moving the packs to the bike had disturbed his carefully made nest. He ducked in quickly to pat the blanket back into place, then hopped out, holding it open for Maya.

Flint nodded at Shina with a smile " yes, her name is Lorelai. She seems to have followed Rush here, i guess he met her when he disappeared yesterday. Their surprisingly close, makes me wonder exactly what happened out there." he said glancing down at her. Lorelai, realizing she had been noticed ducked to hide her head behind Flint. He laughed lightly " she seems pretty shy, but i guess that's not very unusual"
Maya smiled and dove into the bag circling around and around until the spot was comfortable and curled up. <"This nest is wonderful, thank you Tenka"> she said blinking up at him warmly

"Yes, I've heard Deerling are shy. Well, I think it is time to get this show on the road. We have a river to ford, and a lake to get to. Let's move out!" Shina threw a leg over her bike, and with one last look around the packed camp, started pedaling for the river.
Tenka's tail fluffed. "" He settled on the back luggage rack, where Shina's pillion pad had ended up. He would guard Maya and the nest, keeping an eye out for danger.
((Okay folks, we are moving! The river where we are fording it is only about 6 inches deep, though it is pretty wide at that spot. If you pick your way across carefully, there is even a path of flat, dry rocks you can use to cross. People mounted on pokemon shouldn't even get wet, and the cart Shikari is in will keep her dry just fine. If you have a bike you can either walk it across, or capsule it and try the stones. The side to the north (upstream) of the stones is calm, with a flat bottom, while to the south of the stones the pressure of the water pushing between the stones has dug out some places as deep as 14 inches, so if you are crossing on bike or cart, do it to the north side.))

((Hey everyone, announcement here! If I get no objections in the next 24 hours, then I am going to pull a timeskip at some point when things are calm in the caravan during this RP "day." We will skip forward to several days later, with the Unnamed lake drawing close. I don't really want to RP too many days of travel over the Pilkiras plains, seeing how long it takes to RP a single day. If there are objections, I will consider RPing another day or two in the plains. Let me know what you think, and remember, to have this count for your Traveler RP, you need at least five posts per location. If you want this to count for your Pilkiras Plains RP and you don't have five posts yet, start posting!.))

Shikari didn't quite know what to make of fording the river. She'd never been on a cart that was crossing water before. It was unnerving. "What's...what's going on?" She tried not to sound nervous but it slipped out. She also didn't like the new guy, and curled around Chiyo protectively when he got too close.

"We're crossing the river right now, Shikari," Shina explained from next to the cart, where she was walking her bike. Her feet were getting wet, but she didn't want to disturb the nesting Emolga by capsuling her bike. "Don't worry, Rasha is pulling the cart, and the water is pretty shallow here. I'm wading in it right now, and taking off my shoes and rolling up my pants is all I had to do. It isn't even halfway to my knees. Everything is perfectly fine. This is a pretty common fording spot, because it is so shallow and calm right here," Shina told the blind girl.

"Huh. Curious."
She tucked herself and Chiyo into one of the blankets and, with a protective hand on the Blitzle at all times, let the wagon rumble lull her into a half-asleep state, full of daydreams. Since she couldn't look at the scenery, there wasn't much else for her to do. This was perfectly agreeable with her, though. It was something she'd done many times, just for the sheer restful enjoyment.
