Alpha - Catalina - Damn spiders…suiting my vacation

User Image
Raine's whole body trembled in anger as Billy said that she wouldn't be able to hit him, her jaw rigid. There was a hardness to her features that was simply unnatural to those that knew her, and probably downright scary to those that didn't. It took a lot to get Raine pissed off to the point of violence, but boy, this guy had sure accomplished that feat. A grin spread across her features at his confidence, sure that he could outrun her. Still, it would be hard to outrun her if she electrocuted him…that thought was looking more and more tempting as the minutes ticked by. It might not get rid of the spiders, but it would at least make her feel better.

"Oh, sweetie. You don't want to underestimate me. You can run as fast as you like, and that seems pretty fact, but they don't call me a human taser for nothing," she said simply, shaking her head as he said that this situation was why he didn't like girls. Frankly, she thought it might be the other way around. If he treated all girls be met for the first time like this, then it was understandable that his relationships with females were on the fritz. Besides, he seemed to have a mouth on him. Rather than simply apologizing and moving on, he seemed determined to say things that would make her haul off and slap him again. When he finally did apologize, she looked at him skeptically, Christian emerging from the car he had been put in and coming over to them. He also had no idea why all this was happening to him, the brunette shaking her head when he asked if she or Sophia were alright, or if they had been bitten.

Sophia's powers started to take care of the spiders that were advancing towards them, Raine discharging electricity from her body to take care of the arachnids that got too close for comfort. She heard her friend say that she wanted to go home, the brunette sympathized, her mind's eye flashing to what they would be doing in the comfort of their own home. Even the destroyed academy seemed like a better alternative to what they had going on right now. Her terrified roomy voiced what she couldn't say -- none of them were handling the situation very well. Well, actually, Evie rode off on Eli, so they seemed to be handling things rather well. If only Raine could do the same.

"Anyone know how we can get away from something that can climb, jump or trap us in disgusting, sticky webs?" Normally she might be able to come up with a plan, but as it was she was too concerned with avoiding the panic that came with the feeling of spider legs on her skin. Terror was a funny thing - in some, it made their senses more acute, but right now it was dulling her senses, making things difficult for her to look at objectively. It was a Raine rarely seen, and if she had been in her right mind, the firefly probably wouldn't like what she had become with the toxin coursing through her system.

Alpha:trees = great spider swatters!

User ImageGideon was scanning the yard for more things to be destructive with. He shook his head and laughed lightly as Bella took off with Bianca from the ground. They were currently two feet up. He then felt sound waves wrap around his person and attempt to move him. "Too heavy for that." He said as he threw a small rock to pierce the larger jumping spider and knock it away before it got near Bella and Bianca. Though he did his best to hide his disappointment in being left out of the two girls little love fest that was going on.

These spiders were just an annoyance really. Unlike others he wasn't scared wasn't fighting the urge to run. Then there also was the fact that unlike the others these things didn't pose a threat to him. That's how he say it their pathetic bugs how could they hurt the one specifically designed to always get back up. "You might want to fly higher then that beautiful." He said as he jumped just enough to swat the next one that jumped at them down. "Some can jump that high.*

"These aren't dragons." Gideon said to Bianca when she mentioned a knight and dragon. Stomping and swatting a few more spiders Gideon moved to the side and cut down a small tree. "I have slayed a dragon before. Dragon's wouldn't be this annoying and certainly more fun to fight then these bugs." things were not getting anywhere they needed fire bugs hated fire and smoke and all that. That meant they needed Cissa she would be the easiest way to have that. He was now standing in front of Bella and Bianca who were currently flying just off the ground. He swung the small tree back and forth extending his reach a great deal while making it harder for the spiders to get closer.

Gideon took a quick moment to hit his comm to call Cissa. "Cissa think you would be so kind as to start a fire around the perimeter of the condo. That way more can't get in." Gideon asked. His voice held no fear nor panic simple annoyance. Mostly at the spiders and some at himself for not having a more devastating ability. If it wasn't for the no touching thing Gideon wouldn't mind having that Lillian girls power copying ability then he could have what ever power needed if it was around.

Omega: Catalina - I hope he comes to soon…I wanna kill him.

"Who said this is a date," Kerrigan murmured in response to Jack's comment, a grin coming to her lips. So…had she brought the two of them on a date? The thought itself wasn't unpleasant, but the thought of a date being ruined by giant spiders made her all the more angry at their circumstances. These thoughts continued as she felt him grab her hand, pulling her into running away from where the spiders were. Eventually he did release her hand once more, the redhead easily keeping pace with him as they ran through the woods. In fact, it was harder for her not to overtake him, but he seemed to know where he was going, so she didn't want to be in the front like she was on the hike.

As he slid to a halt, arms shooting off to the side to keep them from sliding off the edge, Kerrigan slid to a halt as well. He posed a question to her, one that she didn't really hear as her attention turned to the advancing spiders. He fell to one knee, the redhead moving over to him in the flash of an eye. She reached towards him, though the clone was able to get there first, the big guy telling her that he was alright with a grin. That comment also included something about romance and old age, both of which were sounding pretty good to her at the moment. Releasing a soft sigh, she shook her head at him only to be tackled straight off the cliff. Even though she felt his body holding her tightly against him, it didn't stop a surprised scream from escaping her, a rather uncharacteristic sound coming from the always battle-ready redhead. It was cut short as the two hit the water, the redhead disappearing under the water with a splash.

It was Jack's arms that lifted her from the water once more, the redhead coughing up a bit of water before she was able to catch her breath. He took advantage of her silence to cut her off, pointing out that they were at least alive despite all else, a fact she couldn't dispute. He told her to strip down, which caused her eyebrows to raise slightly, knowing that she didn't have to remove an article of clothing for nothing to be left to the imagination -- her white shirt was see-through, jean shorts hugging the outline of her thighs. The clone, which had apparently followed them, swam up to them, saying that he fell for her again. Kerrigan laughed, treading water on her own now as she tried to get her soaked curls out of her face without much success. The trio set off swimming, Kerrigan quickly overtaking the two Jack's as she was clearly the superior swimmer.

She was focused on getting to shore, temporarily forgetting that Jack would be in danger if something were to happen to the clones. It wasn't until the gargled yell reached her ears that she thought about it, instantly her fact changing from one of intense concentration to one of concern. She heard his name leave her lips, a concerned scream as she started to swim in his direction. The clone was closer, yelling at her to get to shore while he took on the extra burden of her Jack. There was clearly a reluctance in her turning to swim once more, and the time it took to get to the shore seemed an eternity, even if it was only 10 minutes or so.

Dragging herself out of the water, Kerrigan tried to steady her breathing as she momentarily rested her head against the shore. The clone dragged the original Jack to shore, the redhead pulling her shirt off to reveal the bikini top underneath, wadding it up to put under his head. Her expression was only one of concern as the clone started CPR, though quickly slowed down. She started to say something, but the clone simply told her not to do…something. Unfortunately, he didn't get to finish telling her what she needed to avoid before he turned to dust, leaving her alone with an unconscious Jack.

"You son of a…Jack! You're a** better wake the hell up," she grunted, tilting his head back so she could perform mouth-to-mouth. If there was anyone he wanted taking care of him, it was her. All she had to do was see CPR administered once, and she got it. Her lips met his, the redhead breathing out before she drew back and started pumping on his chest like the clone had started to do. After rhythmically pumping for a few seconds, she pressed her lips against his again, exhaling. He really needed to wake up -- she was going to kill him for tackling her off a cliff and then passing out and leaving her alone. She could feel those spiders closing in on them once more, and the last thing she needed was an arachnid invasion on top of an unconscious hunk. Oh, of all the problems a girl could have...

"Say hello to the Alpha Playboy ladies!"

User Image

“Thank you guys. I won’t disappoint.”

Dimitri was seen saying his thanks to Emma Frost and Cyclops just before he made his exit. When he first step foot at Academy X, he had learned a few things from his parents but compared to the mutants that were at Academy X before him, he was still a novice. However, from the time that he has been there, his skill with magma has rose greatly, standing out from the rest of the students that he has worked with. Sure he always worked alone most of the time given the chance or bolt off from the group when given the opportunity, but he always got the job done.

As a result, the headmasters of Academy X gave him 2 gifts that was unexpected. A promotion to the junior X-Men team known as Alpha! Just being noticed alone was something that Dimitri and some of his peers were trying to accomplish but a promotion was one of those “one step at a time” things. So for him to get one, words couldn’t describe how ecstatic that he was.

His other gift was a vacation at the private beach in Catalina which was also unexpected. Dimitri thought that with the promotion, that meant one day of rest, then meet the new team the next day, do some hard training in the danger room, etc. So when he heard vacation, he was even MORE ecstatic. At this point, he was sort of expecting his own jet as well along with his room being bigger, but he took what they gave him and he was happy with it. It was too bad that some of the people he worked with were not.

Being part of Academy X, teamwork more than likely was a priority most of the time. So when someone such as Dimitri breaks that rule every time he gets the chance, and ends up being rewarded, it creates envy in a lot of people. That was not the case for all of the people he worked with. As a result it gave some of his peers the idea that perhaps if they worked alone and showed off more of their abilities, perhaps they could get the promotion. Plus Dimitri knew a few of his friends that deserved the promotion as well and would probably get it if they did prefer to work alone. But now that he was a part of the junior x-men team known as Alpha, it was time to start his vacation. He figured that the best way to organize his vacation was to split it into a few parts parts: Partying, clubbing, strip clubs and Catalina.

The first part of his vacation involved a lot of house parties involving his mutant peers as well as a few of his regular friends that had connections. The house parties were always off the chain in terms of having fun; when it was a mixed party between regular humans and mutants, everyone had a good time and even hooked up that night. But when there were fights, it was a mix between funny and sad. Funny because usually the mutant would win most of the time and Dimitri and his mutant pals knew it, but sad because it was over so quickly. This wasn’t the same when he was at house parties where everyone had a special ability. Fights popped off so much that some didn’t even show up to party, just to watch a hydrokinetic go after a pyrokinetic cause he saw the pyrokinetic take alcohol shots off the girl with dragon characteristics. Add that to the different level of entertainment the mutants brought and it was certain that the types of parties Dimitri went to did not disappoint.

Then it was the club scene at late hours where people of all groups happened to be. Even though he went to the clubs with both his human and his mutant peers, Dimitri preferred going with humans. The main reason was that Dimitri didn’t have to worry about his mutant friends using their powers to get women Dimitri had an eye for or any other female. There was nothing more sinister than having one unleash pheromones inside of the club, making him or her a mark for women and men alike.(unless they were attracted to Dimitri as well; the women that is). With his human friends at least, it was fair game.

And last but not least were the strip clubs that Dimitri and his friends went to. Their reasons for going leaned towards just having a good time. The music, like the club scene plays music from all sorts of genres like hip hop, R&B, rock and techno. Plus the drinks that they had always had them coming back for more; though in Dimitri’s case, their non-alcoholic or carbonated beverages. Then of course were the ladies, who were always willing to offer their services in exchange for cash. But the girls they knew however thought that their reason was garbage. But Dimitri could care less what they thought; the playboy was going to have as much fun as he can on his vacation before.

Weeks later, Dimitri thought that it was time to pack up his belongings and head out to Catalina. His friends needed to miss him for a while and party on their own. Dimitri started his packing early the next morning packing his supplies such as his magazines, cookbooks, clothes, shorts, music and other important things before he would call up Warp and teleport him to Catalina.

After all of Dimitri’s supplies were packed into 2 roller briefcases, it looked to be after noon as the playboy was seen talking to Warp in his room at Academy X for a few moments before heading to Catalina.

“Ready?” Warp asked.

“……Yeah it looks like that’s everything.”

“Alright then.”

“…..”

”What?”

“Uh nothing, let’s do this.” Dimitri told him.

Warp gave him a quick nod then placed his hand on the shoulder of Dimitri, who was holding his supplies. Warp then closed his eyes and began to concentrate for a short moment. During that brief moment, Dimitri wanted to stop him for one second and ask him on the update about his sister. Since they left her behind Dimitri thought about the possibilities of what happened to her almost everyday. Dimitri knew that Warp would keep him updated but the info that Dimitri received didn’t seem to bring them any steps closer to finding out what happened to her. Dimitri didn’t want to interrupt Warp’s concentration but he had to know what was going on; when he opened his mouth however, they were already gone.

Seconds later, the two appeared near the beach, looking at the marvelous mansion that the playboy was going to spend the rest of his vacation at. Dimitri always wondered how Warp was able to teleport to a place where no one was around; it was a topic that would be talked about later but right now it was about his sister. It was Good thing Warp had a hunch that Dimitri was interested.

“It seems as if they forgot about you and have moved on to picking other mutants. I’m not one hundred percent sure but for your sister, I still need more time.”

Dimitri was a little glad to hear that there was a chance that the group that was hunting him down seemed to grow a dislike for him and moved on to other prey. But at this point, it was no turning back. After what they did to Dimitri, revenge was the only solution. He would have rather heard Warp tell him that they found his sister well but they were planning to kill him instead.

“I understand and thank you.” Dimitri said.

“No problem.” Warp replied. “Keep in touch as always?”

Dimitri nodded right before Warp told him okay and had teleported to another location. Most likely back to his business It was a good thing that he had healed 100 percent since the sentinel attack otherwise he more than likely would not have been able to make the jump. As for Dimitri, the playboy walked towards the door, white tanktop, white shorts and tennis shoes wondering what kind of people he was going to interact with. Would they hate everything about him or would they be the same as Dimitri? Or perhaps duty called, last minute change of plans nobody was in the mansion, leaving it all in the playboy’s hands? Dimitri was about to find out, standing face to face with the door.

Alpha - You did say you liked things with a bite
User ImageEli made the drinks and listened to what she said. "Yeah... something is wrong, I never lose control... Not after I promised little sister I wouldn't go overboard. Something isn't right." He said pretty much echoing her statement.

Something with a bite... she did say rum. Spiced, or banana. Closing his eyes, he blindly picked one and put a couple splashes in. Spiced rum was the lucky winner of the two.

Finishing making his he took whipped cream and swirled it at the top and finished it off with a cherry. Picking them both up he made his way to the diving board and followed suit behind her.

"If you say so Eve, you don't mind me calling you that do you?" He asked, holding her smoothie out to her and looked over the pool, it wasn't as serene as the ocean or a natural body of water, but with all the commotion going on around the condo, this was as serene as it would get.

She was taller than him, slightly, barely an inch. It was kind of interesting to be honest, as men usually were the taller of the sexes. He scooter over, closing space between them and moved his head closer to hers and bit her shoulder softly, in a non sexual manner, and began to laugh a little as he pulled his teeth away.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 11, 2010 8:35 pm

Alpha: Literal

She could smell the spice rum from the pool. The scent picked up in the current of the light breeze. Unfortunately the scent of spider lingered as well. This didn't make her happy either. Trying to ignore it, she planted her hands on the diving board and scooted off the edge. She lowered herself down into the water with ease, but just enough to get a feel for the water to the tops of her shorts. When Eli made he was over, she pushed herself up to the board to sit.

"I'm called Evelyn, Evie, E, Vi, Red, and whatever else depending on who you talk to. Adding Eve to the list is fine with me. I respond and you'd be hard pressed to find a name I'd ignore," She smiled and took the smoothing from his hand. Taking a sip it had the kick she needed at the moment, "Thank you, my dear."

He bit her on the shoulder and she laughed, "I did say something with bite. So I won't argue. The packaging is pretty user friendly too."

Evie clicked her teeth and winked with a laugh. Her personality could be pretty brash at times but that was part of her charm. Very rarely did she censor her thought process or care how people veiwed her after she said something. Nudging him in the side with her elbow she joked, "If this were this morning, you might be opening a can of worms with that even if you didn't mean it that way. And too bad, we could have had some fun and kept you out of trouble with our lovely Bella."

Tilting her head to the side she quietly commented, "It's okay if you don't know how to take me. You'll get used to me. I tend to be unfiltered and do everything on my own whims."

Sipping the smoothie she felt the first rush of alcohol she had felt in a very long time. Normally the effects burnt off in her healing process. She only drank for taste. Right now, she drank to feel that fire.

The drug was still in her system though and so was alcohol. She picked the cherry out of the glass and flipped it into the air to catch it. Keeping her balance she leaned forward and caught it in her mouth. Not really thinking about it too much and just doing what humored her a lot right now, she put some whipped cream on her finger and slowly moved it towards Eli's face like a child would do on the school yard to a boy they liked.

A few more crunches here, more splats there. Cree, would this ever end? “ Was there a new student with spidie senses or something?” Aren asked, making a jab at the spiderman comics. Hopefully the remark wouldn’t make him sound dated, as he wasn’t even sure if those prints were still popular.
When Cissa spoke next, one of his chocolate eyes closed and opened again in a blithe movement. “ And maybe later you’ll give me a proper introduction, one more fitting to your mood and obvious preferences.” What in the seven hells was wrong with him? Hadn’t this little blonde just claimed that she owned him before knowing his name? “I can think of a whole list of endearments for me, if you’d like. But some of them would need to be kept just between you and I.” Why on earth couldn’t he stop? “For now though, Aren will work.” He added the last in as a little footnote, not desiring to be called anything that the Hispanic had referred to him as.

Aren lifted his chin slightly in greeting to Jacen,(as he’d just walked in) having recently learned that many pale faces used the simple motion to indicate that they acknowledged you. (He of course, had to ask at first, completely bemused after a while when people displayed the lower half of their face to the ceiling.)

The guy had to be decent, the native decided after hearing the man apologize for attacking him last night. He waved it off dismissively with his hand. “No harm, no foul.” He said, bearing a friendly smile to him before stomping on yet another cantaloupe sized spider. “Surprisingly you aren’t the only one to have attacked me because of Moahk.” Now he could laugh at how the guys here overreacted. Maybe it was a team thing? For the sake of his masculinity, Aren sent up a quick prayer to Naapi that he’d not suffer the same fate. “It’s already been forgotten.” Though, that largely had to do with the more violent front that Antonio had displayed this morning. Jacen had reacted to protect Shandra, to root out his identity before letting him proceed. The louse of a Hispanic had wanted to maim him, forgetting all logic considering Shandra had been the one to tackle him to the floor. Oh no. The roach blamed Aren for everything, and had decided to be a blight on his stolen time with Shandra. She’d wanted what had transpired as much as he had-when it was happening. Or, at least, he hoped.

I would. Aren said, but shook his head with his mouth contorting to a thin, terse line. Chocolate eyes scrutinized the red head another time, just to be sure he’d not been mistaken. But that’s not her. No one would be able to fool him of that, even after a few years apart. Only Moahk was Moahk, strange, uncanny and altogether different. The plethora of spiders waved in another round, and Aren sighed. “However, I’d be happy to fill you in on all the details of just how we know each other as soon as we’re done exterminating these damn things.” And of course, after he’d taken a shower because the spider’s innards all over his feet was a very unsavory feeling to say the least.

Narcissa described what exactly was going on perfectly to Jacen: spider hell.

Even living in a mountainous region that was mostly still virginal from man’s productions, Aren had never seen so many pests in one place. And aggressive ones too. He nodded, concurring with her description of what had been an awesome beach house when he’d first arrived.

The smile that Narcissa threw in his direction only added to his growing list of reasons that he found himself hopelessly bewildered, as it gave nothing away. Nothing to indicate that she was joking, or if she was borderline serious with her quips. And once again, the words slipped from his mouth before he could filter them. “Okay, Aapinákosi.” The name suited her, as her power was as bright as the dawn’s first breaths. “But maybe we should switch roles; I look damn good in leather.

He moved closer to her, grinning ear to ear as he managed to whisper the next so that only she might hear it. “But be wary of what you promise. I don’t do well if I’m left disappointed.” A soft chuckle came with the declaration, as he really only meant all of this in jest. Again, he hoped that this was the case. Something about him was funny today, off. Something made him not want to trust anything that slid off of his tongue.

Cissa’s display of power didn’t deter him from smashing a few more of the beasts that called themselves spiders, but he did watch with interest as the light emanated from her. He had to blink a few times to get his vision back, though even a few moments after, Aren was still seeing spots.

But the firecracker of a woman knew well that the Shandra look-a-like wasn’t the woman she claimed to be. And he noted silently, that Cissa apparently took it upon herself to own everyone-Shandra included. Surprising, really. But now he felt less special. Had there been time he’d have feigned a pout, but what with the spiders and the imposter, it’d be out of place.
She voiced the same suspicions that he’d had as soon as he realized that Moahk wasn’t Moahk… and this person was someone different entirely. Perhaps she’d been the one to set the army of spiders on them.

Blue skin? Who had blue skin that she’d be mad at for being around? There had been a lot that Scott had left out in his makeshift orientation to the teams. A lot of information, ground to cover so to speak.

He lost himself as he spiraled down into more confusion. Was Cissy prejudiced against smurfs or something?

Aren waited for the girl to change into a shell that she’d call her own, but couldn’t help but wonder if the person would do as bade in such a threatening environment. Already, she’d tried to pass as someone well established in the academy. Who could say that they could trust her now, when she’d already acted so shady?

One thing was certain. He sure wouldn’t..

His gaze remained fixed on the back of the goddess’ head, listening as she made her demands of the copycat. She would do well in leather too.

But the new girl dropped her gun in the midst of all the chaos, confessing that she’d shifted accidentally. He of all people would know a little about glitch powers. It was one reason why his head appeared to be a few sizes too large. But, the energy required to fix it wouldn’t do anything to help with the spider infestation. For now, he’d just look a tad bit funny.

The story seemed plausible, but he still didn’t trust her. Already the teams were making him a bit jaded. Wow. He’d not even been with them for a full twenty-four hours. Maybe these people weren’t good for him.

Fangs sank into one of his feet, as a man’s voice came over Cissa’s comm, requesting that she start a fire around their house to keep the spiders at bay. It seemed like a good idea, so long as someone could contain it so that it’d not trap them in a burning house.

He waited, doing what he could to knock the numbers of the army down as he did so. Either Cissa would maim the new girl, or she’d drop her, leaving her to Jacen and himself while she built a fire to save them from the kamikaze arachnids that were hell bent on feasting on them.

All joking aside, Aren really hoped that the day would level out with something more pleasant. Whack-a-spider got old after the first few bites. No one wanted to play a game that hit back.

The glare had singed her eyebrows and temporarily blinded her. But that was one thing that bothered her the least. Bushfires were common enough where she had come from. Her family had almost been burnt that one time. This controlled flame was nothing to what she experienced there, though she let the remembered fear plaster over her face.

Blair felt as though the world was on pause as the others in the room seemed to asses the situation anew. She loved moments like these, who needed drugs or alcohol when teetering on the brink of destruction like this could spin you like it did?

It seemed as though her statement had made an impact. A few years ago it would have even been true. It was a nifty little trick she had picked up from her mentor in the Mafia. And a good one at that. Made people confused enough to take advantage of.

Ah, yes, 'Old Man' Antonio. She thought briefly. I wonder what he'd say to this reception of my own kind? Probably laugh himself silly, the b*****d.

He had not overly taken to the idea of her being a mutant, but he had not minded as much as some. At least he had been sensible enough to see where Blair could be of value to him. He was very good at that. Practical to the bone, that man. Unfortunately, he had not been very imaginative, and that had been his downfall.
Blair hated to say 'I told you so', but she had warned him that Luciano was ready to take him on. Stupid blighter.

But did she dare to make a move? The girl was fine enough, she had made blatant her powers and she did not seem all too stable, probably high on something, which meant she could be lead easily enough. But the other two were unknowns. Nothing kills faster than an unknown.

Blair grimaced as a spider dropped onto her head. While she liked spiders well enough, the Spiderman comic joke was a bit much. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes. That would give her away. Apparently the surfie-looking guy was a so-called 'wit'.

Why must there always be one of them in every damn group? No one finds them funny, except themselves. But I suppose that's all they care about.

Though it was the sort of personality that had an easily probed weak-point. But the other guy was a desert to her. Nothing to work with there yet.

Better take it slow, she thought, take my time.

She did not let her mask slip as the male voice over the blondie's com rang out. She let herself jump in apparent fright. Her mind raced as she saw 'Cissy's' face show signs of her attention being torn in two.

Blair's subconscious screamed out in horror as she made a split-second decision and twisted out of the shelia's grip, no regrets now.
She ducked, grabbed her guns from the floor and pressed it to the surfie guy's nape, holding him by the hair, kicking his knees out from under him.

"I seriously don't want to hurt anyone. I came here only to help." Articulated Blair coolly, kneeling beside her latest hostage. And bloody hell, am I regretting it now... "But I don't respond well to threats. If anyone so much as moves, I will shoot, um, what's your name, dear? It's only manners I know who I'm about to kill. Nothing personal, you understand, but I'd like to stay in one, untoasted piece for as long as possible, if you don't mind. I am, however willing to take the first step."

Blair shifted back to her own body, grimacing as the headache returned with a vengeance.

She smiled at the girl, a smile with the edge given by the migraine.
"If I go down, I'm taking as many of you as I can, believe me. So the choice is yours: how do you want to play this, sweetie?"

User Image "I'm not sure how we're gonna get outta here. I, I can't keep this bubble up for much longer and I don't know how many spiders there are out there." Leion managed to splurt out. The strain of holding up the dome against the suicidal wave of spiders was starting to get to him, he would only be able to hold it for another 5 minutes max before passing out it wasn't like those little orbs he would make to float around himself, this was a sustained physical barrier of a good size.

He released Wilbur and put his back against the barrier, he could touch his energy in any state without harm, his right hand moved onto his face in an attempt to brace himself. "M-make sure yo-you don't touch the energy" he stammered as he tried to think in the confined area of his dome. If he dropped the barrier they would be overtaken by the spiders, he wouldn't be able to recover quick enough to shoot down the ones nearby and he wasn't really sure what Wilbur could do in battle. All the while the KILLJOY was trying to make him leap back into Wilbur's arms, but the pain and adrenaline barely managed to keep it at bay, but it was slipping and they needed to get out of there soon. "Ca-can you make b-bursts of air?" he asked looking at Wilbur with his left eye, his right still covered by his hand and his hand tilted back.

The best he could think of was dropping the barrier and letting Wilbur blast some air at the spiders, giving himself enough to to recover and get up so they could escape. This floor was oddly comfortable. . . he should try sleeping on it, no! This wasn't the time to be thinking of sleeping, especially on the floor of a spider infested room.

Alpha - Whipped Cream war? I think so.
User Image"Very well then." Eli said smiling as she explained to him about her as to being unable to understand her attitude and thought process. "My little sister is like that to be honest, always saying her mind. Heh, if she ever hurt anyone's feelings she'd always say, 'Well, the constitution and preamble doesn't protect your feelings, but it does give you the right to cry about it.' I think you and her would get along to be honest."

As he finished his story he noticed out of the corner of his eye a glob of whipped cream moving towards him, looking at it for a second he opened his mouth and moved towards the glob, and closed on Evie's finger. Not bit, but just closed, and he practically inhaled the whipped cream off her finger.

He used his powers to lift the can of whipped cream and tried to spray it all over her. Unfortunately, the part where you press to release the whipped cream was plastic. He quickly raced his hand to the bottle to spray it on her.

He hoped he didn't stop her.

Alpha: No fast ones here

"You'd be hard pressed to find somebody I don't get along with in some form," Evie retorted with a wink.

Laughing when he took the whipped cream she shook her head, "I have a feeling even off this drug you are going to be some sort of fun trouble."

Now, even high as a kite and wanting to devour about ten more smoothies, he was not going to pull this prank on her... easily. Her reflexes were quicker than his so she grabbed the can as he was ready to spray it and forced it away from her direction. The result was a mess and it was a hilarious mess. She giggled and ran her finger across his shoulder and licked the whipped cream off.

"Time for a swim, sunshine," She wrapped an arm around him and attempted to pull him into the water with her. Had they not been under the influence, she probably would have been successful since Evie was one of the more strategic people out there. But well, right now, it was anybody's guess.

Omega: Crazy Chick With Guns Alert!

Jacen watched 'Shandra' with increasing distrust, ducking as she fired her weapon to kill a spider behind him. Logic seemed to beg the question, Why would Shandra need Guns? “Filemu! It’s only a spider!” He said, obviously startled. He kept an eye on her as Narcissa explained to the best of her abilities, nodded as he crushed a spider under his shoe, which was already riddled with fang-tears and spider guts. He mentally groaned as Cissa affirmed that this was defiantly not Shandra.

Jacen attempted to push his thoughts into this girl’s own mind to listen to Narcissa. Utterly fruitless and impossible, but he knew this wouldn’t end well for her if she didn’t obey. Shapeshifter huh? Interesting. The only other shifter he knew of was Mystique… Hopefully this girl was nicer.

He glanced over at Aren glad the other student wasn’t mad at him. “Moahk?” So he wasn’t the only one using an out-of-the-ordinary language anymore, That’d be a nice change. “Extermination sounds fan-tastic.” He said, nodding to another crunch. These things were more annoying than anything…

As the girl dropped the weapons, he relaxed. Finding himself a bit enamored with her accent, still active effects of KILLJOY no doubt. He blinked as Cissa was giving the idea to set stuff on fire now. Though they should probably leave the house before enacting that plan-

His reaction time was nigh-instantaneous, crouching and extending his staff, ready to bludgeon something. Granted, there was around 10 feet and a counter between him and her, but Narcissa was probably doing the same, if not already incinerating the girl. At Blair’s ultimatum, he laughed a little. “Lady, you really picked the wrong people to piss off.” He said, barely grinning.

Alpha - Why resist?
User ImageAs Evelyn attempted to pull Eli into the water, he made it easier for her and slid off the board. He wasn't gonna complain about spending alone time with a gorgeous girl in the pool.

As Eli slipped into the pool, it made him tingle as his powers let him sense the alkaline treatment this pool had in it. Shaking it off he twisted his body and was floating on his back looking it at the sky.

"Is it really okay to let everyone else deal with the spiders?" He thought to himself. He looked around for Evelyn. He spotted her and smiled. "Yeah." He thought to himself. She had him under her thumb at this point. Well, almost. Was it because of KILLJOY? Or maybe the fact Eli hadn't actually had a girlfriend or a close friendship to females?
Hell, it could have been a mixture of both.

"So, how long have you been at the Academy?" Eli asked, breaking the silence.

Alpha: Cool waters

The water didn't give her much of a shock when she got in. Dipping in earlier had given her a gauge of what she'd be getting into. Right now, she needed all the preparation she could get. This drug was messing with her power control to a point. The perpetrator is lucky... very lucky.

When she went into the water, she made sure to go all in. Surfacing, she wiped the water from her face and let her system register the temperature change. She saw Eli adjust a bit when he hit the water and she nodded in understanding. His power was something she had familiarity with when she was the team leader. Evie made note to know powers and generally how they worked in theory.

Treading water she responded to his question, "Forever and a half."

"I'm almost to my seventh year. Brought in when I was fourteen and now I'm twenty. Was the team leader for the last four years before I had a major power freak out," She explained knowing that he and most newer folks wouldn't know any better as to the team history, "Bella was my assistant for the longest time and really, probably a better leader than I was."

"Some jerk face mutant messed with my genetic code and introduced a wolf transformation power," Evie swam back and forth not wanting to sit still, "I was sent to Muir Island so Doc MacTaggart could figure out how to fix me before I hurt anybody. I fight my power everyday for control so adding that into things just didn't go well... I'm not a fan of people messing with my powers or anybody else's for that matter... so heaven help 'em when I find out who did it. I'm a one woman wrecking crew when I want to be..."

"Needless to say, you want to be on my team when it all comes down. Between me and Gid, we clean up the bad guys pretty efficiently," She laughed knowing it was true and being perfectly okay with it. Her nature was her nature. Evelyn Reed was born to be an X-Man. No bone in her body said otherwise.

"And what brings you to our lovely rag tag team and why do I get the vibe from you that I make you nervous," She laughed and splashed him with water.

He’d been promoted just in time to miss his flight, and that occurrence alone seemed to hint at all of this being a less than savory idea on Scott Summer’s part. Still, Dominik wasn’t one to pitch fits where they weren’t desperately needed, and instead took the news -both of his promotion to the junior x-men team Omega, and the missed flight- with little more than a callous nod and a wry countenance. It wasn’t as if a vacation were something he’d really look forward to; outings like that generally only presented the opportunity for snooping hands to find their way into his things...meddle in his s**t, and that was never, ever okay. That aside, he wasn’t exactly getting a proper chance to wade into this new situation- test the waters with his new team, so to speak. Instead, he was being thrust into a scenario that would last for at least the duration of this trip; completely immersed in the new group of people, with no room to immediately change his mind or to seek comfort in the environment that he’d at least managed to become somewhat used to in his year at the Academy; Catalina wasn’t exactly a preferable commute for such excursions.

Olive-hued eyes averted themselves from the window and back to the lighter he was nonchalantly igniting and killing, igniting and killing; an obvious sign of both his boredom and great want for a cigarette...neither of which the cabby seemed to appreciate all that much. He shot the young Slovenian a rather pointed look through the rear-view mirror; a silent hint to cease with the persistent use of the lighter...but Dominik found ease in pretending to ignore it. He wasn’t exactly in the mood to take a hint, so if the cabby wasn’t going to voice his complaints...well then he was s**t out of luck, wasn’t he?

The pad of his thumb pressed into the object again, eyes watching the flame spring to life with a mundane interest dotting his expression, and then it was out yet again as he adjusted himself in his seat, absently pulling at his t-shirt; black probably wasn’t the most appropriate color for this climate, and since his loving driver likely wouldn’t be too keen on turning on the AC, Domink contented himself with rolling down the window a smidgen and making a mental note to change into something which might attract less heat when he finally got there. Maybe the proximity of the lighter wasn’t helping, either. The thought prompted him to finally return the object to its home in his pocket, his gaze again flitting to the passing view out of the car window.

A moment later, that same pocket started to vibrate, and the young man’s expression thinned slightly as he ignored it. Another call from his godfather, no doubt; odd. He’d been quite certain that the voicemail he’d left earlier had been laden with all the needed information concerning his new status with the Academy; it had been terse, understandable. Why was the man apparently so intent on muddling the message down with feelings and personal sentiment? It was strange; Gasper had never had this much interest in talking about such things with his godson before... their early interactions had always been heavy with silence, awkward and unnatural; things to be avoided if at all possible. Their viewpoints on the matter had been entirely mutual, the only complete understanding they could formulate between them. Lately, though, he’d become somewhat determined to shoulder the duties of a parent entirely...to actually become involved with his godson’s life; to talk about things. Dominik was fast starting to think he’d preferred the silence.

A small huff emitted from the young man, an uncharacteristic bout of impatience enveloping him. He fidgeted in his seat, gaze darting to the driver, suddenly laden with the emotion,
”Are we close?” They were his first words to the man, heavy with an accent that would likely catch him off guard, but still discernible beneath its thick coating.

This time it was the driver’s turn to fidget in his seat, though Dominik surmised that it was likely more out of frustration than a pure mirror of his own feelings. Granted, he might be all too willing to boot the kid from his car; though not the most disruptive customer, Dominik was well aware of the effect his silence sometimes had on others. The hesitation finally gave way to an answer that was almost too eager in tone,
”We’re almost there. S’just down the road.”

A hand snaked its way through the young man’s slightly tousled tresses before he immediately set himself to the task of fumbling with his seatbelt, willing it to grant his body release from the confines of the leather upholstery...hell, the car entirely.
”Stop here. I’ll walk.”

A more compassionate person might have offered protest, or might have at least portrayed some small amount of concern for the abrupt decision; this cabby apparently wasn’t such a person, as he was quick to move the vehicle to the side of the road and pull it into a halt. That was fine, as Dominik was equally hasty to throw a few bills on the seat, grapple for his luggage and amble out into the open air. He took in a sharp inhale as he watched the vessel return to the road and fade into the horizon, inexplicably thankful to be out of that damnable thing. It didn’t dawn on him to consider the sudden change in mood odd, either; instead his thoughts strode down a much different and more lighthearted path. His bag slung comfortably over his shoulder, the young man set out at an even pace, content to enjoy the scenery until he happened upon his destination.
~~

There were a number of aspects about the house which could adequately capture ones attention; the breathtaking scenery, the architecture, the spiders; Dominik decided to focus on the latter, his brows knitting together as he neared the premises and noticed that a number of the foul beasts had apparently, somewhere along his path, deemed themselves his travel companions. The realization didn’t startle or disturb him as much as it rightly should have, however, and aside from a few ferocious stomps, he found himself ignoring them completely...despite their obvious and persistent aggression. A few more solid strides brought him to the front door, and the young man barely spared the person standing there (Dimitri) a sideways glance as he pushed it open without knocking,
”It’s not locked." he murmured, tone curt and uninterested as he drifted inside the place.

It didn’t take long for him to happen upon a group of people, and his steps slowed decidedly as he took note of the slew of strangers(Jacen, Aren, Cissa)...namely the one with the gun(Blair). The others seemed to be on the defensive, and not just in response to the spiders, which Dominik was still kicking out of his way every so often. His brows knitted together at the scene he’d stumbled in on, the emotions he felt within not at all matching the potential severity of the situation in front of him. No, oddly enough, he was still feeling quite content with things. Shoulders rolling back into a slightly casual pose as if to emphasize his feelings, the young Slovenian man inclined his head towards the others, ”Well, this is..interesting.”

Another kick towards one of the larger spiders, ”If this is what the vacations are like, I’m not sure I made the right decision in accepting the promotion to a junior team...” It was meant to a joke on some level, though the intention didn’t carry in his tone quite as well as his accent did.
