I would say so, you have the amount of things it takes to kill orks, heavy bolters and flamers. You also seem to have a vindicator to take down the trukks and are probably hoping the number of heavy bolters and dreadnought assualt cannon. Though as a suggestion, maybe take a lascannon. I don't like them myself (Like com'-on yer relying on a single shot here), but they're a sure thing to take out a trukk each turn with space marines (+3 to hit and no matter what you rule to penetrate). Plus the lascannons are still useful seeing as you'll be instant killing Nobz. After all, it looks like you almost have nothing to instant kill them, which is good to have to pressure the enemy when he's getting infuriated at how one of yer guys are easily picking off his troops. Though only a minor suggestion to take them, like a I said not a big fan of the whole relying upon one-shot thing, then again it's space marines with good BS. And you've got an aweful lot of fire power anyways to kick the orks out of their trukks and start hitting them in the open. * Quote: Hm..I see how your list is pretty good, considering the entire thing nearly has the FnP rule, but I also see an issue. I agree with Lt. Brookman, lack of anti heavy firepower will make fighting anyone trying to field, say, a monolith or a land raider in that point range a mess for you. also, you may have trouble getting objectives due to the fact that your meat wall is also your troops choice. Well I'm just not worried about big veichles really in a 750pts battle, especially against orks and as I said earlier not into things like lascannons, plasma guns then again yes, but it's unnessecary if you don't mind me saying. Not I'm saying that there's no way you can get me to change my mind, just that I don't see any reason to drop heavy flamers for something for anti-tank weaponry. But true I may have trouble with that, but I think with the long ranged and massed fire power, I might be able to draw the enemy. But yeah yer right about that.

So, after playing a couple games with my Grey Knights, I've come to the conclusion that much as I love my autocannons, I can't fill my list with them, because then armies like the Mechanized Guard I ran up against will walk all over me. So, My Grey Knights, v. 2.0.
HQ: Brother Captain: Psycannon, Psychic Hood - Retinue: 4 GK Termies - 1 Psycannon, 1 Thunderhammer/Stormshield
Troops: 6 GK's: 2 Psycannon - Justicar - Auspex, Targeters
6 GK's: 2 Psycannon - Justicar - Auspex, Targeters
6 GK's - Justicar - Auspex, Targeters
6 GK's - Justicar - Auspex, Targeters
Heavy Support: Dreadnought: Multimelta/Missile Launcher - Extra Armor, Smoke
Dreadnought: Multimelta/Missile Launcher - Extra Armor, Smoke
Orbital Strike: Melta Torpedo
Total: 1500 points
The plan is for the two Psycannon Squads to sit on my objective(s) while my other two Squads run to claim another one. The torpedo get's dropped on a third objective, or somewhere where there's alot of tanks, and the Dreads provide AT backup for the two camping squads. Brother Captain will Deep Strike or deploy as needed v. different opponents.

If it has a point cost above the unit, then thats what it is for the bare minimum unit. If it doesn't have that, then on their stat line it should say their point cost.

I rewrote my Army list for 2000pts, and was hoping to get some opinions. Go go MARINES!
Hq: Orton Cassius 125pts
Troops: 6x Marine Tact. Squads 170pts each 1020 total 10 Marines Missle Launcher
Elite: Dreadnaught 150pts Heavy flamer Twin-linked Heavy flamer Drop Pod
Heavy: 3x Devastator Squads 230pts each 690 total 10 Marines 4 Missle Launchers
The rest of the points are in Melta bombs. I made the list for the Missle launchers, since they can be fire either at troopers or tanks.

Looks pretty solid, and I hope that you can successfully pop open enemy armor with the weaponry you have. What kind of kit is on Orton Cassius there?

Combi-flamer Hell-fire rounds then basic Chaplain stuff
I like Cassius because he's cheap, and has Feel-no-pain and toughness 6
He's hard to kill

Ah, so it's Chaplain Cassius. Now I gotcha. I blanked on his name for a bit there and didn't recognize it.

Well I can tell ya one thing, this list definitely isn't going to win in a crossfire. Don't really know why yer trying to reach 1,600pts anyways, but just to note that I don't seen that many long ranged heavy weapons, like sure you have plenty of up and close nasty weapons, but your enemy is sure to fire a heavy cannon of some sort at your unit, regardless if you get the first turn, leaving worries if you see a executioner tank aiming at your chunky units.
Really I would say it is a bad a** army list, even for trying to just fill up on points, but it really does have some rangedissues. Do you also have anything for anti-infantry, like I'm pretty sure you won't be having fun against a guardsmen army or Tau army

yeah i know it sucks at range, thats pretty much why i put the guardsman infront of all my bulk units to take all the fire untill i get into combat range of the enemy, and when i am against a army filled with heavy weapons i just move from cover to cover or infiltrate my chosen to take them out. the last game i played with this army i was against loads of heavy support and just used the cover to my advantage and eventually won. and i take back the 1600 pts statement, im gonna try to get it down to 1500.

Hm, isn't that going to make you rely upon cover too much, like it's a good strategy and all, but how would you react in a plain battlefied, hope that your traitors miraculous absorbed all the nasty firepower trying to get the unit behind them or what?
