Hans shook his head. "Nope. I really don't pay to much attention to the whole hero business". His smile faltered a little, but didn't get wiped away completely. "Well, I've got some letters to mail and what-not. The taxes don't get payed by themselves". He walked briskly out the door, closing it behind him. Emily shook her head in amazement. "He's never fazed by anything", she muttered to herself, the smile still on her face.

Back at the hospital, Anselm waited for time to pass. He wanted to visit Derek. Anselm saw a few people waiting in the lobby as well. He sat down on a chair and waited.

Emily turned to Erika. "Well, we have a shortage of couches here, but we've got plenty of beds. And the best thing is, there's no rent!!!", she said, making it sound like a sales pitch. A few of the men in the lobby chuckled. "Yeah, but the food's awful", one of them mumbled. Emily ignored them, a big grin on her face. "Well, you want to stay?", she asked.

As Erika opened her mouth to say something, a distinctly male voice spoke. "Maybe my sister would prefer the more cozy arrangements I've prepared for her." A man wearing a black cloak stepped out from around the corner. Erika's eyes widened when she saw him. "Brother?" The man nodded. Erika rushed over and hugged him. "It's been years since I saw you!" Then she remembered what had happened. "Oh yeah, I lost my apartment..." The man chuckled. "Don't worry. I've cleared out one of my old safehouses. It's a bit unfurnished, but there's plenty of food and two bedrooms with all the nessesities. I assume you'll take your friend along?" Erika nodded. "And wait, what about my stuff?" The man laughed. "Taken care of. Everything you own has already been moved in. Now, I was only able to stop by for a few minutes. I must be off!" The man turned, and shrugged off Erika's embrace before walking off. Erika walked back to Emily. "Well, we could go to the new place of mine, or just stay here. Which do you want?"

Emily frowned a bit, not really wanting to impose or leave what she called home. She smiled quickly though, and said, "I think I'm going to stay here. This is my home now and I had hoped it would be for a long time. Besides, how else would I do missions work?". Emily smiled, but in her mind she was worried. The underground thug that attacked her had her on edge. She didn't want her powers to be revealed to anyone else, and now her only link, to the new dark person in the underground, was leaving.

Erika sighed. "That's okay. I had hoped to hang out with you a bit more, but I'll need to change into regular clothes. Maybe I could give you a hand ever once in a while?"

Erika smiled, but thought quickly that maybe leaving Emily alone with a bunch of Underworld people after her might potenially be a bad idea. "You know, never mind. I think I'll stay with you for a while, just for fun."

Emily nodded enthusiastically, happy to have Erika with her just that bit longer. The feeling of being watched increased as she smiled. "Alright!", she said, her energy very appearent.

Having the powers to command electricity gave Erika a few knacks that most humans, hell, most heroes didn't have. She could feel something was wrong with Emily by sensing the hairs on Emily's neck rising up. But Erika kept quiet. The last thing she wanted was to make Emily paranoid. "Well, guess we should find a place to nap, eh?"

After the hospital visit, Anselm returned to his apartment and then teleported to his cave. Inside the cave, the engineer resumed work with the cave. He still had yet to figure out the alien text on the ship, but it was not immediately important. For now, he had to finish lighting up the cave. As he walked to the last light, he said, "If I only I was fillthy rich! I could have this ready in no time. Unfortunately, it will take me months, maybe even years to get this how I want it."
He stopped at a wall and sighed. "Oh well. I can't change that."

Emily smiled. "If you want to you take a nap, but I'm going to play a card game". She felt the person watching her and felt like she should react. But, if she gave away the fact she knew someone was watching her, she wouldn't have the element of surprise when she turned the tables.

As she felt the unknown presence, Erika cursed her limited power. I know it's going to happen, but other then that, I'm lost. What's going to happen? When? Where? If I had my brother's power... As she thought to herself, Erika found a place to rest for a time. She laid down for a nap, and was soon sailing away to The Dreamlands...
