"I'm... fine... I guess." Though the circling was starting to make him dizzy, and the comment about his "favoritist lil pup" didn't help much. "Excuse me? I think you must have me mistaken for someone else," he said in his pressed polite voice. His only kind of favorite pup was one who wasn't there. Then again, that might explain the slight familiarity. "Aren't you?" he added in an undertone.

Meriko stopped pacing and put on her best fake pouty face. "You toooooo?" she cried, her lip quivering in emulated sadness. "Hmmph! silly father..." *mumblemumble* "don't remember 'lil Meriko..." *mumble*

Yume walked forward, suddenly catching sight of the sad little (OK, not little, biig) Tala and walked towards her.
"Hello, dear, why're you so sad?" Feeling that she has seen this face before, she burst out: "My! I've seen you before, somewhere, when you still were a pup! Aren't you... aren't you ---?" Without finishing her sentence, she continued on happily:
"You're so big now! Last time I saw you I didn't talk to you, but I remember I've seen your face before, and back then you were still a little pup... time has gone so fast... you must be little Meriko!"
((To tell the truth, I can't remember seeing Meriko in the thread, but I've looked at almost all the Talas a dozen of times, and last time I looked at Meriko's picture, she was still a child, or so I guess. xp ))

Meriko gave Remus one last flick of the tail and bounded over to Yume, stopping short of pouncing upon her with her no longer small body. "That's me!" she exclaimed loudly.

((*sneaks in*))
A young woman stepped onto the cool grass, admiring the Talayes and the grass around her. The grass crunched under her feet as she walked, with a slight limp in her right leg. "Beautiful..." "Ah! Doccy!" A man rolled down beside her. "Oi!" "Happy landings, Javert." "...Thanks." The man had cold as steel blue eyes. He was tall and wore his black hair in a ponytail. He had sideburns, which the woman began to tease were 'mutton chops'. "DocLight, leave me alone!" "Shhh. Look at the pretty Talaye." "Quite pretty." "Maybe we'll find one!" DocLight punched Javert playfully and went on her way, seating herself in the cool grass.

Piper trods through the long blades of grass in the meadow to a shaded spot under a large tree. In her hand she carried a basket carrying her newborn Talaye which she set down next to her once she sat down.
The glowing fairies hovering around the basket soon started whizzing around even more excitedly at the new place full of other Talaye.

In her hand she carried a basket carrying her newborn Talaye which she set down next to her once she sat down. The glowing fairies hovering around the basket soon started whizzing around even more in excitement at the new place full of other Talaye.

Two rats bounded up over the grass, and a tall girls followed them.
"Luna! Horizen! Come back here, please don't make an impresion like you did at the bowling club."

"Aw! Look! There's one over there! With the little fairies around it!" DocLight pushed Javert's head forward. "Neh! I see, DocLight! Now let me sleep! It took us a long time to get here!" The grumpy man curled up in the grass, sleeping. The young woman snorted and stood, wobbling, then falling down. This time, she stayed down, watching the newborn in the basket.

Piper noticed someone watching her basket. She looked up and smiled as the basket wobbled slightly from the newborn moving around.
She took a glance around for something to do before she decided to take a book out of her bag and read. One of the fairies hovered curiously around the book.

Mouse wipes a brow as she finally reaches the meadow, basket held gently in her arms, afraid that jostling it too much might disturb teh pup. She spots Piper (another new mom!) and heads over, settling down in the grass a few feet away.
"Good day, " she says with a smile. "Lots of activity around your basket!"

Piper looks up from her book at Mouse with a grin. "Yep! She's been squirming around more lately. I hope that's a good sign. Maybe it means that she'll be ready to come out soon." She patted the top of the basket gently.
She leaned over slightly towards Mouse's basket. "I see you've got a little one too. Amazing wings she's got."

"WaK!" Mouse tumbles over backwards as the Tala pops out of her basket, tail waving. Brave new world! She sniffs at Mouse. Hum! Then she begins to follow a fairy around, going crosseyed, with floppy footfalls.
So much to explore!!
