Ashe watched the dark elves circle her, neither group wanting to make the first move. One elf, clearly an younger member of the group, charged her. She snapped at him, catching him in her mouth, crushing him in an instant. One elf tried to attack her rear, his sword bouncing off her armored scales. She whipped him with her tail, sending him into a tree a few feet away.
The remaining elves attacked her simultaneously. She tried to defend herself, but it was hard to do in such a confined space. One ran at her eyes, cutting the soft skin around it, causing her to cry out and lash out at him. Another aimed for a soft spot behind her jaw and ear, drawing blood from there.
Ashe was now in a tight situation, she could only see out of one eye and couldn't fly or shift because of the arrow in her wing. She roared and sent a giant blast of wind from her mouth to the elves in front of her, sending two into the trees. The last one dodged the wind and circled around her and jumped onto her back. He ran up her spine and reached the base of her wings. He steadied himself and sent his sword into the base of one of the wings. Ashe cried out and shook herself, trying to get the elf off her, but he had clung on to his sword and would not fall off.

(Okay demon, not a problem. ^^)

A few of the dark elves that didn't have anyone else to fight, ran over to where Lin was to help their boss. She noticed them coming, and quickly broke the combat with their boss, in order to defend herself from them. They were better, and faster then she expected, and she was cut a few times by daggers. It seemed these two were the stealthy type.

Damn, i am not good against stealth, what do I do...I'll just have to try and get as fast as them.

Lin blocked a few of the attacks from the ark elves, and managed to remove one dark elfs head from his body. She then sliced off the others legs, and was attcked by their boss once again. She hadn't expected him, and was slashed across the gut. She gasped and stumbled back a bit. Her grip on her sword loosened a bit from the pain.
"Looks like you really can't beat me wench."
The dark elf ran at Lin for another attack, she barely dodged it, but still managed to, and tightened her grip on the sword.

These wounds are quite serious. I can't take much more of this. I will have to hurry up and finish this guy off. Hopefully after that, the rest will run away. If they don't run away though, then I'll be a target for them all.

Lin dodged a few more attacks with difficulties, and then chopped off the dark elf bosses left hand. He cried out in pain, and started to slash at her faster. This was a mistake, because through his anger, his defense was down, and he was on the offense only.

Now is my chance.

Lin quickly charged in on him, dodging more attacks, and eventually managed to cut him clear in half. He stood for a few seconds, before falling into two, dead with a dumb look on his face. After Lin had used the attack she did, she fell to her knees, and held the wound across her gut. It was bleeding pretty bady, and she had a fair few wounds, but was still alive, and in one piece.

Ashe thrashed about, trying to shake the dark elf off her, but he hung on. She stopped to catch her breath, and the elf attacked again, this time dragging his sword down the base of the wing. She bucked at the pain, this time throwing the elf off. She was on him in a flash, clamping down on him with her jaws.
She looked around and heard the sounds of fighting through the trees. The others are fighting as well. She slowly made her way back to the camp.
When she entered the camp she saw three dead bodies, and a few more wounded. She tried to muster some more strength to fight, but couldn't. She fell to the ground as the blood loss and pain finally caught up to her. The arrow and sword still protruding from her body.

Lin quickly killed the dark elves that tried to get Ashe when she was down. Once the whole group were killed off, she walked over to Ashe, and quickly removed the sword and arrow. She heated up her own sword, and healed the wound by burning it back together using the blood that had come from the wounds. After this, she quickly washed off the other blood on Ashe, and smiled. Her friend should be fine when she woke up, but perhaps a little sore. She herself quickly burnt her wounds shut, and then wrapped them up in bandages. She wasn't able to do this for Ashe since she was a large dragon though.

(Welcome back. Just post when you are ready. ^^)

Flint walked towards Lin and Ashe, well, to them it appeared that a knight did.
"Are there any more of them?" he asked. To complete his little trick, which he had hopped would have been in more happier times, he changed his voice. It now sounded a lot older, and deeper.
"Also...Flint had said the group was larger, where are the others?" he asked, ridding closer to them. He sheathed his sword, looking around the area.

Tyr slipped away after the fight to the edge of the group, at least a few yards from everyone else, and sat down, pulling Ferghall onto her lap. She didn't feel very good after that fight, probably a cobination of just waking up, having just ate, and then having to expend that much energy in that short of a time period; the blood probably didn't help matters much either. So she just stroked Ferghall's fur and prayed silently for her stomach to stop protesting.

Ashe woke up sore. She opened one eye and looked around her. I made it back to camp. Good. She then looked over at Lin and the horseman, and blinked. "Who's the newcomer?" she asked, not knowing how long she had been out. She shook herself and stretched her wings, wincing in pain. She tried to shift into a smaller form, but couldn't. "Great," she growled, "I can't shift until this heals. Anyone got a mirror?"

A thick ball of dark smoke slowly formed slowly on the ground a few yards away from where Ash and the others were fighting at, but far enough away, to where it could not be seen by them. Out of the strange fog stepped Sorrow, dressed in her usual gray jumpsuit. With her katana at her side she crouched down trying to stay out of sight, however her large black wings did little to help. She looked around and spotted the group, noticing a few bodies on the ground.

“Elves, no Dark Elves, they all seem to be terminated. This group truly is wicked. I would kill them now but I have other orders.”

Sorrow brushed up against a rather large rock and slinked into the shadows. She looked around not knowing whether to keep following them from afar or to talk to them. She was ordered to not make any contact, but she couldn’t help feeling a strange feeling around them. One she couldn’t remember, something stuck on the tip of her tongue, but couldn’t quite grasp it.

I must keep my distance, for now. I hope this odd feeling goes away, it’s making me feel sick.

Lin looked up at the knight, or what appeared to be a knight and blinked.
"I haven't a clue who he is, though it looks like he helped us a bit. I am not sure where the others dissapeared to either. One moment they were here, and the next they were gone. It seems to be just the three of us for now. Well, two, it seems like another just dissapeared"
She said in reply to the question asked.
"Ashe, you should just rest a while. I tended to your wounds, they will need a bit of time to heal. We can't really go anywhere, unless you can manage a walk to the next village. Can you Ashe?" she asked

(Everyone else has definately gone poof...)

"I'm sorry, where are my manners...My name is Ben, the so called "Old man" Flint was going to see. He is currently resting, but I heard some fighting so I rushed out to help."
The illusionary figure let out a small laugh. "He must have exaggerated a little...however I AM an elf...or half-elf, but in any case in human years I am old, around 100 or so." he explained, and Flint nearly punched himself, hidden by the illusion.
That had to be THE worst explanation in the world, he though, waiting to see what would happen.

Ashe stood up a bit and looked towards the path she just came from. "I managed to make it here. I'll walk, I can create a small wind to keep the trees bent out of my way. That way I don't destroy them."
She looked over at the knight and snorted, a gust of wind sweeping over him. "Then tell me: Why do you smell like our mutual friend? You got anything of his hiding in your armor?"

(should we poke them? i know that one's on vacation, but the others we can send a notice to)

[Great idea. If they dont respond to the first poke, then use something sharper...like a chainsaw?]
----
Flint, or rather, the knight, shook his head. "No, but it may have been because we were training hard back at my cabin, hand to hand fighting, swordsmanship, the like." he ventured, hoping it would pass.
Eventually, Flint was going to show that he was right now an illusion, but he wanted to wait for the perfect moment first.

Lin looked at the knight suspiciously.
"It is a bit of a coincidence that Flint goes off to train, but then a strange knight that we don't even know, starts to talk to us as if he knew us well. It is also a coincidence that you say you know Flint, and you were the so called 'old man' that he went to for training. Another coincidence would be the fact that you do smell like our small friend Flint, and you have a similar aura. Now doesn't that sound interesting."
She smirked, and then looked at Ashe.
"Okay, let's get moving now. Camp is already packed up, it is just a matter of leaving this place smelling of death, and blood behind. I hope our friends catch up with us later."
Lin smiled, and then she went over to the horses and grabbed Mists reins. They were all tied together, so when she started to move away from the area they all went behind her.

(I would send them all messages if I wanted to. But I have a few other active roleplays out of the guild, and I am trying to keep them going. We can just hope the others return some time soon.)

Flint started laughing silently. "All right, all right." he said in his normal voice. He dispelled the illusion, laughing again.
"Ah...sorry. I did go to train, however in illusion magic. And the old man really is old. HE is the one resting. Oh man...I wish you guys were more floored by the appearance, guess I have to work on that."
He stopped laughing, wiping a single tear away. He grabbed the reins of the 'horse', riding forwards. "This one is a lot easier to control." he said simply, nodding to the other ones.
