Bowie looked up at Gus, worried. "It'll be okay, Bowie." Gustave said, "You can get some sleep." Bowie smiled, and shortly fell asleep... "I agree with Link... you should go back home... but..."

"Up and at 'em," Link smirked as he reentered the main chamber of the Temple the next morning. He had already been awake for about an hour by that time, but had decided to let the princess sleep in.

Bowie yawned, and stood up slowly, and noticed that Gustave was floating about, as if he was looking for something.

Link noticed the yellow fairy bouncing in the air as well, "Gus, what's wrong?" He asked, deciding to let the princess continue to rest.

"You're probably right," Link agreed, staring down at the sleeping princess. The thought occurred to him to simply leave her here, where she would be safe... and yet she seemed to be the only one who knew what was going on, "Go take your brother home, we'll be ready to go by the time ya'll get back."

Gustave floated up and down, as in a nod, and said, "Alright... that sounds good to me..."

Bowie looked around, confused and slightly upset, "Come on Link can't I come with you, I helped you out a lot and you know it," he argued, but Link seemed to turn away, "Gus, tell him!"

But still Link shook his head, "There's no room on Epona for three."

The two continued onto the entrance of the temple. Back inside of the first room, the brown mare stood waiting. Carefully, Bowie snuck by, afraid of being kicked, to the main door. As he pushed the door open, he could feel a cool breeze flow into the room, "So Gus, what should I tell Mom and Dad if they ask where you are?"

Zelda stirred slightly as a sudden breath of cool air touched her face, and after a moment her eyes opened, blinking sleepily. She looked up to see Link standing almost directly over her, and half-remembered a story her mother had told her when she was small, one about a princess who was cursed to sleep for a thousand years, and the knight who loved her so much that he watched over her his whole life. His own youth had melted away as he watched her constant, still beauty, but he had never wavered in his determination to protect her for as long as he could.
She shook her head and sat up, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. "Odd thoughts you have when you first wake up," she yawned, then slid out of her bedroll and winced. "Goddess, I'm sore," she mumbled, getting to her feet and grabbing her saddlebags. "I am going to go change into something more practical," she said, looking pointedly at Link, "I want to hear you making some noise the entire time, so that I know where you are. Is that completely clear? Yes?" She didn't wait for a response, instead turning and heading for one of the gigantic pillars on the other side of the room. "Good."

"Trust me your highness, I wouldn't dare," Link laughed nervously as she walked away. Bored, Link sat down on the Rug and stared at the opposite wall. And so he sat in silence except for a slight foot tapping he kept up to please the princess, 'Dang, do all girls take this long to get changed?' he thought as he began looking for a distraction.
Almost immediately, his mind seemed to focus on the blue ocarina laying inside of his bag. Thinking it might be a good idea to practice, considering what happened in the Temple of Time. Once in hand, Link began to play a song that his mother had taught him. Unbenownst to him, as he played, outside a storm suddenly appeared, dispersing once he play the tune a second time through. After two times through, the blond found himself slightly bored with the song and decided to play something softer, more beautiful. It was a song his mother used to sing to him as a lullaby when he was younger, and which he sometimes still heard in his room when his mother came to check on him at night.
