Sonya looked at him, "make you laugh?" She blinked several times. Didn't she just do that? Humor was her worst area of expertise. She had been joking about the whole computer deal thing, but it turned out to be true. How was she going to make him laugh?
Sonya studied her surroundings. The cliff, the sith lord staring at her, his sidekick looking bored over the edge. That little varmit pissed her off something fierce too. All confident and cocky, the little s**t needed a...
"Well, here goes," she started. She prayed that the little kushiban wouldn't turn around. "Around our planet, we have a sport. One which never is played by the nobility. But...."
She ran full speed, and wedged a strong foot up Kawaii's bottom, sending him flying over the edge.
"We call that midget punting."
She gave a weak chuckle, before waiting for Nakara's reaction.

She had punted his kushiban sidekick off the precipice. Nakara's apprentice, so enraptured by boredom, had been caught off guard to become the first airborne bunny creature on Ruusan. It was like a little black toupee flying through the air, a slight scream uddered from its lips. How could it not be funny?
"You amuse me. You have potential to learn from me. But you would quickly grow bored of my teachings. I refuse to teach you the art of the sword, only the art of the mind. But I cannot have a pupil walk out into the galaxy with a head full of tricks and slight of hands, only to be slain by poor saber skills. Head out to Talofan, and seek the great Lord Karah Tos. He will teach you how to channel your skills, your powers into a formidable weapon. When you have learned all you can from him, return to me, and I will complete your training. Use the shuttle we currently have. I can always get another from the academy."
Nakara gave yet another chuckle. "Midget punting, huh?"

Ritt sat in his room planetside, inside the castle of Lord Stryder. He laid down on his bed, and had he eyes, one would say he was staring at the cieling. The battle had been quickly fought and ended. His appearance wasn't even really needed, or noted. He hadn't practiced his saber kata in three days, and had rarely left the room.
A small ding-a-ling came to his room. Swatting the small link, it shut off. Several moments later, the same noise again perterbed his rest. Thrice it soon became, as he answered.
"Yes? What is it?"
"Lord Stryder seeks an audience with you as soon as you can get to him," a male voice retorted. Great, another reason to do something worthwhile in this ebb. Knowing Stryder, it'd probably be some scout or stealth mission.
"Understood. Out," he reported. Heaving his weight over the side, he exited his bed, and slouched to get some more proper clothing on. His standard flight uniform, and a pair of shades instead of his more casual blindfold. In stryder's sanctum, he tried to keep a low profile, though he never quite knew why.
He picked himself up as he traversed the halls, his mind seemed distant though he knew the way fairly well. It had been almost an hour since the call came to him, and he planned a verbal lashing for tardiness from Stryder, but this didn't phase his speech. Reporting in to the secretary, he was led into the makeshift maproom.

Stryder glanced over his shoulder Stryder noted Ritt's entrance with a calm, rather unsurprised face. "Next time you get lost, please call for assistance. I'm sure someone can give you adequate directions." He said. Turning back to the Map, Stryder continud to give it a focused stare. "I take it something is troubleing you, young Jedi."

"Same could be said for you, if you'll forgive my impudence master," Ritt retorted. "You look like a gundark ate your lightsaber. Appearances aside though, you called for me. Where are my wingmates and I off to now?"
He tried to find out where Stryder was looking, but the holographic image was faint at best in the force. After a few seconds, he resigned to staring at stryder, giving his full attention to the matter at hand.

"If that gundark ate every lightsaber in the Galaxy along with mine, I would be considerably more cheered." Stryder replied. "And it is not just you. It is you, your mothersip, and an escort ship. Are you familiar with privateers, young Jedi?"

"Familiar with the concept. Can't say I ever recall meeting them in person, however. Neither the Jedi Academy nor flight school were rather keen on keeping such company within one star system of their location. They are essentially pirates hired by a government to disrupt shipping lanes, though you'll never have them admit to being pirates while on the clock. Glossed over that chapter in friendly/foe recognition training while we learned how to fly," Ritt responded, shifting his weight and crossing his arms. He had a notion on where this was going, and he wasn't too keen on his own imagination. However, time after time he had proven to not completely grasp the entire picture, and had long since learned to keep as quiet as possible. Still...
"Knowing what privateers are, something tells me that our mission will be involving a raid of some sorts on the sith shipping lines."

"Exactly." Stryder said. He gave a tired sigh and shook his head, folding hishands in the sleaves of his robe. "The Senate has put me in a rather uncomfortable position, young Jedi. They are sending me to attack a powerful foe, a Sith Lord named Karah Tos. Already he is waging war against his Sith Brethren and controls large parts of three colony sectors. And its only a matter of time before he turns his sights on the Republic. To test my loyalty to the Republic, the Senate wants me to take a foce from Tett and put this Sith Lord down before he can not be stopped." "Rather than charge in, I've decided to reduce his capacity to fight. Deny him the supplies he needs to keep his war machine going. Thats where you come in. You will go out "hunting" in the classic Naval sense, chasing and destroying cargo ships."

"So, we go out, dance on the sith's dance floor, blow up his supplies until what? He can't fight his bretheren? Or should I expect you to come with the calvary at a later date? While the thought of drifting with a bunch of ruffians behind enemy lines for long periods may be intriguing, I fail to see where privateers will really help. Its not like you can hide a hammerhead frigate from the Sith with Republic colors and not let them know that its the jedi knocking on the door. What good is a privateer if they aren't even ambiguous? Instead of making them charge us, why not use their own power against them by sewing confusion amongst themselves?" Ritt asked.

Stryder looked back at the young man with an arched eybrow. "Do not get ahead of youself, young Jedi. I never mentioned actually hiring privateers. I just used the term so you would understand what I am asking of you. The Senate would not stand for it if I simply hired a band of Mercenaries to harrass Karah Tos and be done with it. Your raiding deprives him of supplies so that the rest of the force I am assembling will be in a better position to strike at him. We starve him and then strike when he is weak."

"I'm sorry. I did not mean to get ahead of the conversation," Ritt announced with a bow. "I assumed that the 'escort ship' you mentioned was perhaps someone with... professional experience, so to speak, to aid in our success. But with that being said, who is our escort? Wouldn't a smaller force be more useful, especially with our adaptive combat abilities?"

"So are you volunteering to strike it out alone with your relatively unarmed Corvette into the depths of Sith space?" Stryder asked.

"Provided you can keep the supplies coming to us, I'd say that we'd be more than capable of outrunning and hiding from any wandering patrols. But you are the one giving out orders, master. Without having any replacement pilots for the squadron to cover up from the two whom died, I'm probably overestimating our capabilities. A ten man squadron, though admirable, is only 10 men. I shall leave it up to you to assign what you see fit. There is a saying, "a lightsaber's blade cuts no matter how you hold it". I don't believe there is a right or wrong answer to this, only how successful will we be."

"Did you not get those transfers the 9th Fleet brought with them? Hmph thats Republic Buerecracy for you. Actually, you would have access to a Republic Base where you can resupply and rearm, a Space Station over Malastare."
((Thought I mentioned the 9th bringing replacement pilots for you...))

"The Bathurst recieved new fighters, repairs, and everything, but human life seems to be harder to replace. We were deemed at full combat strength by the quartermaster, due to our previous flight records. Last fighter got retrofitted with the prototype exchange system this morning, in fact. But the pilots who were to fly in them have strangely not have come forth on our roster. I've struck them as absent, though my hunch is that they managed to find a loophole in their orders and returned with the ninth rather than split their own squadrons apart. Do you not have some recruits here on the base you need to immerse in combat experience? We're more than capable of defending fresher recruits out in the field, so long as they don't mind taking orders on the dime."

Stryder pondered this for a moment. "Indeed I might. Though I only have half the people you are looking for. I only have qualms about how well you would handle the situation."
