The other day... I went to a job interview for a thrift store. Realized my school schedule would interfere. Nothing there.
...Today... I had to turn down an opportunity for another job interview because of my upcoming school schedule.
.... School is more important, but... I need a job.... burning_eyes

I don't know if I should be jealous or not. I have a job, but it is utter s**t, working for hellmart.
I have a Bachelor's degree in a respected science from an accredited university, graduated at the top of my class, with a 93%+ GPA . . .
and I push carts.

What? It's true . . . at least, most of it. I don't know if I was the very top student in my classes, but I was among them. The rest is completely true. Still in college, though. Working on a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. sweatdrop

Meh, I'll pass. I don't have a license yet, and wont for several years. Right now, I just wanna have a desk job . . . sick of manual labor.

Alexander Magnus DarkScarlettVixen .... crying NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! sweatdrop It's a tragic truth I keep hearing over and over; extremely educated people....not being able to find work. It totally pisses me off! Not only that, but what about us still in school? Will we be able to find work when we've all graduated?

My answer to this is simply make my own work, I plan to be a pest exterminator and set up my own agency, or work for a pre existing one. Either way, its a manual job that needs brains.

I think a big part of it is the area I'm in. A heavily rural/Amish area has little use for a psychologically trained individual.

no, they'd rather have idiots that can only count to 30, and know how to run a heavy press. The biggest employer here other than Walmart is ProForm, a company that works with pressure moulding powdered metals.
