She groaned, and missed. The bloke couldn't be any older than a second year, well, his luck was about to run out—because it had to be luck, right?— perish the thought it could actually be skill. She pursed her lips and steadied herself beside Ashley as he raced across the pitch towards the Ravenclaw goals once he had taken back possession of the quaffle. She caught his eye, lashed her arm around the red ball as it was hurled straight for her face and then burst into the scoring zone to hoop it through the left goal post.

When the referee started the game he flew up near the goal posts and watched the action. He wasn't surprised by the brutality shown on both sides but he was by how quickly Slytherin got in possession and made it over to the goals. He gulped but gripped his broom with determination. ❞

Ugh! She punched the air in a short bout of fury when she realized she missed the shot. She veered back around into play, clocked positions of each beater and chaser as she picked through the bronze and blue uniform to try and find where the quaffle had gotten passed to. And of course it had to reach their vice-captain, Xavier, which would make it that much harder to steal. She hastened on her broom and dove in for a steal.
