Aerith blinked as the man stood from his hideing place.She had to take a good look at him, and at the clotheshe was wearing. Very diferent from any styleing she;d ever seen. "...Hello..Um..Who are you and why are you hideing inside this room?"
Cid laughed, shakeing his head as he reached up and lit up his cigerette."A simple greeting isn't enough to tell who a person truely is."

He looked back at Gron questioningly. He had no clue what he just said. Now,Cid was smart,but in other things, he was a bit clueless. "The only way we can 'scan'a person, it by that of materia."

"Materia?" ..typographical error of entry 'material,' which is the....I know what material is.. Shrugging slightly, he muttered, "..what sort of technological device is that?"

He took his knife, carefully, and returned it to it's hide scabbard. He spoke simply, using as few words as possible. "No harmed, no harm."

While keeping one hand on the wheel, he rumaged through his pocket and pulled out a large green orb.This one being a restore materia. "Catch." He then tossed the orb into Gron's direction. "This is materia.Spacificly,that one there will heal you if you are injured in battle. There are others,that will cast fire and elemental attacks on enemys, some are used to summon a guardian force to aid you in tough battles..And others are used for better attacking."

Catching the orb, his irises glowed briefly as he studied it. "..so this is some sort of a repairing tool, while others are weapons or combat enhancements?" When his eyes returned to normal, he looked to Cid once more. "Odd that a crystal sphere can manage that...although I cannot figure out what sort of substance it is made from..."

"In this world,I am sure you will find that out soon enough. Mako, crystalized mako..heh..I assume you don't know what that is right?" He shrugged and held another materia,this one being ruby red. "Phoenix. This is a gaurdian force.."

Shaking his head slowly, Gron tossed the materia back to Cid. "If you say so. Looks like another small sphere to me.."

"Perhaps I should explane it better...These spheres allow their users to cast various magic and use special abilities. The energy from which they form originates in the Lifestream, a river of spiritual energy coursing through the planet. Aside from this energy's application in the creation of materia, it can also be drawn out of the earth to be harnessed as a source of electrical energy called Mako Energy." Cid put away the red orb,and cought the restore materia back, which was also soon replaced. "Understand now?"
