"'Cause... I like it in my lab better!" Jack quickly lied. "I couldn't build robots if I was constantly traveling! And I wouldn't be able to get any of the Shen Gong Wu, either."

Nina examined his face, she could tell he was lying but just shrugged, "Sounds like you're busy."

"Yeah, yeah," Jack replied, nodding. "You never know when a new Shen Gong Wu will reveal itself. And how else would all my robots get made? I've made Jack-Bots, Worm-Bots, Bird-Bots... a few others that I can't quite remember this very second... And then there are all the vehicals I build, like the little dune buggy I made once, and my submarine. Oh, and Chameleon-Bot was cool. What did I do with that...?" Jack thought aloud, hoping his rambling would get Nina's mind away from his lie.

"Sounds like fun," Nina smiled, she looked at him more seriously, "You don't need to lie...Nina understands if you don't want to talk about things."

Jack looked to Nina, a little startled. "How..." he began, looking down, "How do you always know when I'm lying...?"

"Nina's had lots of practice," She explained, "Yuta's always lying about something and when I was little people were always trying to make Nina feel better about her magic...soon I was able to tell when they were lying...."

"I think you're good at magic," Jack began. "I mean, it doesn't look very easy. And I don't think you've messed up anything since you got here. I don't know why Yuta's always sayin' stuff like you're not any good, he's wrong."

"Well..." Nina looked down in embarassment, "The reason I haven't messed up lately was because Nina found out why she wasn't good at magic. It isn't because I'm too weak...It's because I'm too strong. I went to Eltoria, a very elite school for witches, and I've been studying there for one and a half years. It takes three to eight years to graduate, and after that, I'm gonna have to choose where to live. But, before we found out why Nina messed up so much, Nina flunked out of magic school with some of the lowest grades...."
