Cario began scanning through his nutrition book, soldier pills would be the most efficient on the battle field. I guess this was more for survival when you run out of them, then again after taking them you'll become warn out later. I feel like speaking my mind again, but I don't want what happened to Garreth to happen to this teacher. He went from leaning back in his chair to a sitting position waiting for her to start the lesson.

(ooc - I'm gonna assume there equals nutrition cause I need to get this post in before I have to vanish for a couple of hours)
Once the class had arrived, Karariv, noted a couple of new faces in the group, hardly surprising. "Right, for those who missed breakfast and algebra I am Karariv Silvias, you will address me as Miss Silvias or ma'am. I won't repeat what I said to the rest now, they can pass on the general idea of it to you. So, Nutrition, I hope you all know what a balanced diet consists of and how you should ensure you keep to one, I am not here to teeach you about that. I am going to teach you about nutrition in the field, how to survive in the wild where there are no markets or servants to provide you with what you need. Any soldier, and ranger, any mercinary knows what wild foods are edible and what foods are not. In some people it is an instinct, either that or pure luck, in others in needs to be taught. I will teach you all regardless, but this exercise is one to see how you would survive one meal as you are." She paused, some of the students looked nervous, "On the trays in front of you is a selection of plants and fungi I collected from around the school grounds. Some are edible, others have benificial properties, some will make you ill, others will kill you without the correct antidote, the lethal ones are the reason you have the gloves. You will wear them while doing the exercise. The exercise is to separate the selection you have in front of you into two groups, edible and inedible. You will not be allowed to use any resources other than what you already know and guesswork. Once you have all done I will inspect your work, then you will be given your textbooks, from which you will make notes on the plants and fungi you have in front of you."

((Haha, Garreth fell in))
The door opened, and the sound of it shutting was followed by "Ahem... Akakage, what are you doing?" Garreth almost couldn't believe his eyes. Akakage in his chair, behind his desk, welcoming his new teacher.

Odyn was totally flummoxed. He'd never had to deal with anything like this before!
Mariye sighed. "Here..." she leaned over and started pointing out some of the plants and what they did. She loved nature, and every villager's basic education included knowledge of the world around them. There were only a few of the stranger fungi that she'd never heard of, and a few more that she knew but did not know the properties.

Cario had already scanned through most of the text book and could easily depict good from bad. He already had gloves on, but seeing as they were fingerless he thought it best not to take chances. He pulled them off and put on the gloves being provided by the class, beginning to sift and separate the fungi and plant. Before long he had a space running up through the middle of the tray where the edible and inedible were separated. That wasn't to hard, if she picked these from around the school does that mean there are plants that can kill you around the school? Need to put up a sign that says pet's beware, killer plants on school grounds.

((Why do Rps always move when I am offline... ,-.-))
After Varnis forcefully made Raiden leave the forest, he had looked back into the forest, still wondering why there was an empty camp in the forest. He sighed then walked off to the school.
Once he was in the school he started to go to the classroom. On his way to his next class he had passed a few students. Varnis had been holding Raiden the whole time to the class room. He entered the classroom, he looked for the nearest seat that was towards the door. His usual seat. He took off his Katana placed it nest to the seat, made Raiden sit next to it. He then sat down in the seat, and waited for the instructions for the class to start.

Seeing that he was able to finish the paper work without Garreth showing up he smiled inwardly. Quickly leaving a message of his work to Garreth he quickly look at her, "Well Miss Nailo, just to let you know I'm just a teacher here at this school." Seeing her reaction, "I just filled out the paperwork because Garreth one of the head staff is at an important meeting." Trying to hold a laugh, "Well I hope we can be good friends in the future." Disappearing in front of her he reappeared in his class room with a smile on his face. Teme who went to classroom saw the smile and said, "You did something mischievous again didn't you? Must be the kitsune blood flowing through you now." "Not at all Teme, all I did was given me a better chance to analyze a new teacher thats all."
The note on Garreth's desk said, "You owe me one for saving you paperwork! I just hired a new teacher for you. You can thank me later."

Silaqui blinked. Oh... kay?
"Garreth, right?" she frowned. Who am I supposed to believe? "I just came from Aslomnia, and I'm looking to settle down and teach for a while." Something like that, anyway.

"DON'T TOUCH THAT. Put your gloves on!" Mariye frowned at him. "For heaven's sake, some of these are poisonous!"
Odyn made a face at her, then did as she told. "Woah, Cario, you're done already?!"

Garreth frowned, picking up the note Akakage had left. "That b*****d..." he murmured, then looked at Silaqui. He sat in his chair, sighing. "Aslomnia? Quite a ride, I imagine. How fortunate I don't have to tell you that we don't need teachers...." he glanced over the papers. Atleast he wouldn't have to do it, but he didn't know how he'd repay the teacher who didn't do as he was told. "Infact, we have no one in the way of archery, so if you'd like to take that, it'd fine with me. And possibly take over a psychology class for me? I don't do so well in a classroom full of students unless I'm there as a headmaster rather than a teacher."
Namen almost grunted in irritation, but grunting wasn't something she did. Almost all fungi smelled the same... There was no way she could get by on that. She wasn't about to start tasting. She'd take her chances leaving a glove off of one of her hands and checking texture. That was the only possible way she could even think about doing this assignment. She removed the orb from her wrist and placed it in her pack before putting a glove on only one hand. She'd pick up the fungi with her gloved hand and just touch it with her bare hand. Maybe nothing bad would happen that way.

Suddenly Mariye reached up to the girl sitting in from of her, and grabbed her wrist. "Don't-!" She sighed. "That's the poisonous one. It gives you a horrible rash if you touch it, and it's wildly contagious." Why on earth would that girl be touching them with her bare hands when the teacher specifically told them not to?!

"I... guess..." That was probably a lie. If anyone was unsuited to teach impressionable young minds about psycology, it was Silaqui. "Better for you to be free to do your duty than myself to have idle time to waste." She grinned, though it was without much emotion.

Namen laughed slightly, putting down the mushroom, and removing the glove from her hand. She stood up, throwing it down. She couldn't see where. "I fail this asignment then. There's no way I can do it." She grabbed her pack and left the room. As soon as she'd reached the hall, her eyes began to water. She wiped at them with the hand that had been protected. She wasn't paying attention and tripped over a chair she knew was in the hall, but she was to upset to remember it. Her things scattered and she sat against the wall, covering her eyes with her hands then uncovering them, hoping maybe she'd suddenly be able to see. Nothing.
"I'm so useless... I shouldn't be here..." she murmured to herself, burying her face in her knees as she drew them up to her chest.
((yay, Namen angst. : O.))

"Alright, then." Garreth stood up, opening the door for Silaqui. "Akakage has already provided everything else for you.. I hate to rush you, but I have a few things to do. You may get to know the grounds, find your room, whatever. Dinner will be at 8. We can discuss more then."
