Rylenn looked at Sable and smiled. "Well.. It's.. I don't know.. maybe it IS my imagination.. I'll ask Dante later to make sure..." He sighed softly and ground his toe into the ground. He was... kinda miserable... yea.

Sable sighed and shook his head. He leaned over and wrapped his arm around Rylenn, tugging the redhead close. If nothing else, maybe he'd warm up a little. "Well, he's already awake and I don't think he's doing much." Neither of the teachers seemed busy. "You could probably ask him now."

Ka felt that nod, and tilted his own head back a little, just for a moment, kind of stretching his neck. "Yea ..." he murmured softly. "It would be sort of bad if anyone else is lost in here."

Unlike Alex, Ka really had no idea how large this forest actually was. For all he knew, it might take several days to go all the way through it. Eyes lidding for a moment, he tried to figure out some way to find where they were ... and where the end of this place was. And how to keep away from the stupid temple.

"Maybe ... if we try to mark the trees somehow...?" he said after a couple minutes of silence.

Lina nodded, her face pale, and though she still felt like her stomach was being used for macrame knots she felt herself calming down just the slightest bit.

"...That helps. Th...thank y--gghhhlllll."

Dante blinked, surprised at the sudden clipped coldness of Greg as he made a point of taking out his own canteen and taking a swig.

Had the man forgotten...?

"Remember? You filled that with pondwater yesterday."

RuiZhi slept for a total of two hours, at no more than twenty minutes at a time. He felt cold in a way that had nothing to do with the weather; perhaps surprisingly, it wasn't because of Alex, either. It was this place. The boy had long decided that the place he used to call his home was gone, and instead this small piece of hell had risen in its stead. There was nothing natural or worldly about it, with an awful smell he kept getting a whiff of, and no signs of living humans or animals.

And then there was the drama; it seemed each person was involved in their own personal act of falling apart. The missing boys, his sister and the doctor being the obvious. Then there was Professor Larine and Heru Araquenosse, who had some sort of strained relationship that neither seemed to admit to. Weiyuan and Rylenn, who seemed far more quiet than he was used to, the latter of which who was flirting with Sable; if RuiZhi knew his brother, he knew that sidetracked the real reason they were here. There was Lina and her ill-hidden problem, with Irame helping her. Audun and his strange but welcome manner of being there, even if he was a little off. Elijah was quiet, really only speaking when spoken to, and that left Mr. Herei, quite possibly the only one who wasn't changed by this place.

The boy sighed deeply, wrapping his arms around his knees as he stared stubbornly at the forest. He'd wanted to speak with Kenth, but given the situation, he didn't want the older man to think he was speaking to him soley because of his bonehead sister. Maybe he'd catch him at school again, although that seemed somewhat unlikely. RuiZhi rested his chin on his knees, keeping his thoughts to himself, hoping the lost would appear so they could move on and move out.

Herei was simply waiting. The direction they would go was soley in Kenth's capable hands, although the leader seemed so flustered by what happened that the Advisor wasn't sure if the doctor was really up to the task. He found it strange that the grey-haired man was showing any signs of being bothered by the events; he could only surmise it had to do with the woman, more than the students, as the doctor always kept himself locked up in his office and away from everyone else. This was the first time he'd seen anything but arrogance and disgust on Kenth's face.

His warm eyes flicked over the gathered, watching each interaction as they played out, noting when each person awakened. He still did not regret bringing everyone along; each person was serving a purpose, and each person was one more that knew a trade or a skill, someone who could help another. The Advisor had to acknowledge that placing familiarity hadn't worked as he had hoped. Those who knew each other squabbled and caused problems for the whole group, especially in the case of Dante's group. He would simply have to divide the group if they split up again, and he didn't like the prospect of explaining why he'd have to.

The man had no idea these people could be so emotional. While it wasn't a bad thing, it was new to Herei, and something he wouldn't mistake next time.

Farlest seemed to ponder that a moment. "Well...with what? We hardly know what we're doing in this forest." He laughed softly, "For all we understand...these trees might eat us if we did anything to them...that or something equally as theoretically improbable."

As spooky as they looked he wouldn't put it past them...oh yes...demon trees possessed by the glowing temple, he was sure.

The dark-haired boy ran a hand through his hair. "But we don't really have much choice, now do we? However...I do know we aren't getting very far just sitting here..." Staying in one place was starting to make him feel edgy...uneasy... as though they were being watched, a presence that he didn't know whether was sinister or benign. Whatever it was, it was raising his proverbial hackles, and almost without thinking about it he scooted a bit closer to Ka...seeking his warmth and the feeling of security that the elder boy provided.

Audun stretched his arms as he moved about and surveryed the group, wondering how everyone else had managed to fare the night. He himself had slept like a log but then again it wasn't because he wasn't bothered by all the events - it was because when Audun actually did sleep he was pretty close to being comatose. Kinda felt good.

So his eyes scanned the crowd as he made his way fully into the open, his thoughts now from how they slept onto what they would do today. Alex still hadn't shown up, and the two boys were still out and missing.

At this rate, he thought, their chances of survival have dropped at least 5%. Not bad.

Ka sighed slightly and shrugged. "I don't know. Fingernails ..?" he suggested, half joking. He figured that would probably be a bad idea though, as they didn't want splinters or anything of the sort.

"The thought of trees eating us really isn't very pleasant either, though," he had to admit.

Shifting, he moved so he was more leaning over his own knees than leaning back on Far - then scooted around to lean sideways against the other boy. He was tired too, and nervous, even a bit scared ... though the last, he'd never admit. His thinking was that he needed to be strong for Farlest ... protect him.

After another moment or two, he looked over at the other, and smiled slightly - a tired sort of look. "Well ... should we try this again?" he asked.

Tense. That word alone Elijah would have used to simplify the description of the atmosphere that was floating about the people left in building, and of course he understood why. With three missing members there was no wonder why everyone was on edge. And even those who seemed outwardly collected the teen was sure that inwardly they had to be feeling some sort of concern.

RuiZhi’s lost sister troubled Elijah the most, but during the afternoon before everyone settled down for the night he hadn’t had the chance to talk with his new found friend which greatly quilted the teen. Certainly he knew he would have to approaching him once morning tugged at him to wake.

His own night hadn’t exactly gone perfectly either, though he was unsure why considering he had no personal tragedies knock on his door, but all the same, his gentle slumber was anything but gentle. Nightmares plagued him during the twilight hours. Each was unique and yet all had a rather startling similarity, one of which the boy didn’t understand; new found friends had come and gone in his dreams, most exiting morbidly, but in each separate dream the silhouette of a single winged creature followed them to their deaths. It partially reminded him of the fable of the grim, the dog that signified death to those who lay their eyes on the ebony creature, but in his dreams a haunting coo followed after each sighting.

I light coo rang in his ears. Elijah sprang up into a sitting position, breathing heavily, and found his brow dotted with sweat. Wiping it away with his sleeve his baby blue eyes darted in every direction, counting who was there and who was not trying to help himself pull away from the realm of dreams and focus on the reality around him. It was then when his pulse started to settle and the adrenaline purged from his body that he realized outside the building a lone dove sang its morning greetings to the people within. Releasing a sigh, ‘Lij’ forced himself into an alert state that easily observed the people around him.

Spotting RuiZhi alone the teen stood, regaining a warm smile as he walked toward the other and sat beside him. “How are you, Rui?” he asked gently, knowing instinctively the other teen was feeling the pressure as well as the deep concern for his sister. Elijah wanted to somehow help him, to somehow make things right, but the only way he knew how to do anything at the moment was to company those how needed it.

Farlest nodded without hesitation. "Yeah. Can't give up, right?" He refused to just stop...after all...if they didn't go anywhere they really would die out here...and dying was not at all a pleasant thought...and even if he DID die here, he refused to take Ka down with him.

Reaching up and ruffling the other's hair...he mustered up a grin and slid to his feet...offering his hand to his friend. "C'mon, Ka...let's go...we'll make it out of here...and yeah, I know this sounds cheesy...but....I feel like I'm going to make it out ok...because you're with me...you wouldn't let me go alone."

With a warm smile...he waited for the other to take that hand. Yes...Ka'hmesh was certainly earning a place in his heart...and thus far...Ka had been the only one who ever stuck with him, cared enough to follow him into danger...even not knowing what that danger was.

It was a very warm, reassuring feeling, needed to keep one sane in the midst of this crisis.

RuiZhi lifted his chin, turning his brown gaze onto Elijah's very blue one. He smiled a little; he rather liked the little nickname, other than the one his sister called him. "Mm. I'm all right. I'm just worried about Farlest and Ka'hmesh. I hope they're okay." Funny, that seemed to be the only thing he was saying outside of concern for his sister. It was true, though; he knew she was too ornery to die out there, but the boys...he didn't know. He sincerely wanted to help them, to bring them back safely, but everyone here had taken a risk of not being safe by coming to this place.

The boy slowly stood, grimancing as his joints protested from being in a curled position too long. He stretched, then smiled over at Elijah. "How'd you sleep? Are you feeling well?" RuiZhi was still concerned about the Luna's Cap and how it would affect everyone, but the people seemed to be healthy and well. Thank goodness for that, at least, he sighed inwardly with relief.

Lina had FINALLY finished coughing up her guts, and she pursed her lips and nodded. "Thank...you," she said hoarsely, and nodded, smiling uneasily in gratitude. "I...think I'll take your offer on that cracker later."

When her limbs stopped shaking, she pushed herself up and pushed the bushes aside--

And for a moment came face to face with Audun.

She stopped for a moment, staring, then simply smiled. "Good morning," she said, then turned and walked towards the others.

He watched RuiZhi's reaction and noticed his obvious worry over the two boys but even though he didn't mention his sister, Elijah was sure he also was concern for her as well. He lightly pocketed his hands as he heard the reply and gave a nod of agreement. "Yeah, I hope they make it here alright and without any harm. Your sister as well. I'm sure they'll all pull through, though," he answered him in an obtomisic tone. Even now he wondered how they were doing and if there were any signs of possibly finding them.

"I'm feeling fine, thank you, though my sleep last night was a little bumpy. How was your nights rest?" he replied to Rui's question. It seemed obvious by his pained movement that the other teen hadn't exactly rested as well as he could have.

Wei groaned, a chill starting to pass over him. He shivered, reaching for his heat source only to find nothing. Pout. He sat up, a hand immediately going into his hair to sift out the dirt and whatever got their way in there. He sat for a bit, he must of slept more than he usually did. With good reason, he was exhausted from yesterday. Looking around he frowned a bit, not liking how others had gotten up before him. It just wasn't anything he enjoyed.

His eyes squinted further seeing Rylenn with Sable. He'd be a good boy...but he couldn't guarantee he'd like it too much. Was it so horrible to be jealous? He sighed, deciding to just let it slide. As long as Sable didn't come to Shinkami...things would be fine. He could endure this. Rylenn needed more than just him to lean on.

He crawled over to his lover and Sable, nuzzling the red-head's neck a bit, mumbling a 'morning love.' His brain wasn't clearing up as fast as it usually did. From the looks of it he seemed to of had the best sleep. Perhaps it was because he was used to sleeping here with death surrounding him? Maybe. Slowly he pulled himself away from the two, finally standing up. Habits were finally starting to kick in.

Slowly he stretched out, his mind clearing with each movement. Wei took in a large breath, absorbing the energy this forest gave off. He exhaled , a slight whistling coming from his lips. His body moved on its own knowing what the mind would tell it from heart. The brother side of him told him to pause to get RuiZhi to join him but he didn't really want to leave this peace of mind.

Rylenn looked at Weiyuan and smiled. "Morning sleepy head.. want some coffee?" He offered his cup and kissed Weiyuan sweetly. He watched as his lover stretched. His eyes went over Weiyuan's body like a predator. Oh yes.. he wanted to jump those bones badly.

"Need some help?"
