Rina stared at the frozen lake for a moment. It, as was everything else around, was beautiful, yet she did not feel any particular call, even here in what she presumed to be the heart of the Kousetsu lands. She did not mind, though. Simply knowing with certainty that this was not to be her place was enough for her.

Loki nodded. "Alright." He led and Masao closer to the lake. "We're in the heart of the tribe territory right now. We stem off from the lake." He left out that part concerning voices and strange lights. "Come on, I'll show you through the woods."
Rae smiled at the others around her. She'd find Kyou later and have him help store the herbs. For now, she was content to go where the others chose.

Masao shifted, following Loki and listening to what the other said as he looked around. "How large is your tribe? It seems like you have a decent sized territory," he said as they walked along. He sniffed at the snow a little, licking at it for a moment to see if it tasted any different then water did. It definitely was colder.

Loki laughed at Masao's antics. "Careful, it doesn't walys just take like nothing." He ran through a list of all the members in his head. "There's eleven of us here. I doubt we'll stay that was for long, though. We seem to increase steadily. "He looked with pride at the territory. "We're relatively large. If the snow touches it, it's most likely part of our territory."

Masao made a face at the mention that the snow might not always taste like...well, snow. "I'll keep that in mind," he mumbled, looking down at it and pushing a bit aside with his paw before moving to close the small distance that had appeared between him and Loki. "It must be nice here; it certainly feels peaceful. You must get a lot of other's who want to enter your tribe."

Loki smiled softly. "Foxes don't flock to us, but I suppose we get a steady amount." He flicked his ear and smiled knowingly. "One such fox sits confused in the forest as we speeak. He'll make his entrance when he's ready."

"I suppose it's better to get a steady amount instead of a whole flock," Masao said with a nod, looking up at Loki with a smile. "I'm sure a few of them are probably like me, not really sure about all the cold and snow."

Loki shrugged thoughtfully. "I guess so. People come for various reasons. I doubt you're the only one unsure of the climate here."

Masao nodded. "Though, I will admit it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The cold doesn't get to you as much as you would think, even if it takes some getting use to." Masao looked around a bit, taking in the snow covered forest. "Do you get a lot like the one you were talking about earlier? The confused fox sitting in the woods?"

Loki chuckled. "It surprises everyone, but the fact is we were built to sustain extreme climates like this as well as the warmer ones. It's a lifestyle adjustment, but nothing major." He flicked his ear again, thinking. "No, I guess we don't. Most find their way to the lake relatively easily. Some are jsut afraid of crossign the barrier. However, they all cross it in time."

Masao nodded his head a little once more, snapping a bit playfully at a bit of snow that fell from a branch above them. "I guess that makes sense. If you find a place you belong, even if you're not completely sure about it at first, you always end up coming back to that place."

Loki nodded absently, watching the snow fall as the light shone through icicles on a nearby tree branch. "Yes, you do." He turned back to Masao. "We do have one snowless clearing, if you'd like to see it."

Masao was about to snap at another small bit of snow that was managed to drift from a branch above them, but stopped himself when Loki turned to look at him. "Alright, I'd like that," he said to the other fox with a smile.

Loki grinned knowingly before heading off, shaking his head at Masao. "We're not very from it, actually." He pushed away some snow mounds and revealed the grassy clearing that was much closer to Masao's preferred climate, if not quite as warm.
