You know you're a band nerd when, at the olympics, when they sing the national anthem, you end with "off and down!"
That's how my band nerds behave...
Then again, we don't have lives.
You might also use analogies like "It's like someone just sneezed in your mouth. That's how terrible it was." But that might just be my band....

When the cheerleaders yell at you on the bus for constantly humming the fight song (They get really annoyed at three in the morning....On the way to Seattle.)

when you spend more time in the band room than at your house.
you sleep in the tuba case
you find every excuse to go to the band room after school
you constantly start your stories with " one time at band camp......."
you keep food in your band locker ( lol...I kept a loaf of bread and peanut butter in there)
you ask your teachers if you can get your stuff out of the band room
you don't know anyone outside of band
you freak the guard out by telling them what's been one the floor
you keep half your closet in the band room

Ex. "The other day, this trombone comes up and says...."

you are constantly making threads about band on other sites
all you forum names are related to band
when you hear a piece of music, you say " This would make a great marching show..."
when you hear a song that has a good beat, you start sub-dividing it
for guard- you constantly hear " 5, 6, 5,6 ,7,8 " when a song comes on
you actually lookk forward to band camp

...when you start doing band dance moves in night clubs or dances to songs you've played.

DiddleFreak61387 You know you're a band nerd when you start to sing past shows and your friends join in. My friends did that once, they were walking down the hall way and one asked how this part in one song goes, and they got to it and on the next downbeat they all busted into last year's show.. ive done that before its fun!

RinoaHeartilly 3. You know you're a band geek when you use lyres in place of hair clips. My friend Stacy did this. She had a couple of broken lyres and was messin' around with them and eventually stuck one in her hair just for the hell of it, then she started to wear them every now and then as a hair accessory. xd sounds interesting maybe i should try it sometime!

DiddleFreak61387 i know they are called shakos, but we call em covers, but neway, you know your a band nerd when you forget the answer to what you did yesterday in history, but know every song your band played from the past 5 years. hahaha good one!
