"On second thought...Nataki, are you okay?" Thae asked the nervous one behind her. "If you're okay, could you get another piece of burning wood from that pile?" They needed more, and right now, Thae didn't want to leave her post. She had a nasty, ugly shade to trick.
The fox kid was talking to her again. Hesitantly, she moved her gaze from the shade to stare back at the fox and Iamel."I...I can't, kid." Thae then turned her attention back to the shadows. "I'll really hurt him this time, look how tired he is already..." The once-spirit could still feel some of Iamel's energy in her, and she could still feel the imprint of his magic, even though it was slowly fading. If push came to shove she could try to use the left over pieces but...she couldn't risk using Iamel like that again. She didn't think she'd have the strength to get back into his mind anyway...he was a stubborn one!
When the other woman went and got her own makeshift torch, Thae shot her a fleeting, thankful smile before returning to her scare tactics.

The blonde bobbed her head wordlessly, not trusting herself to speak without having her voice break. A burning piece of wood? She could do that. Staring at Shira in surprise, the drow's words and what Thae was doing finally fell in place. Of course! They needed light and warmth! Mustering up all the nervous energy that she could, Nataki scuttled to the corner, seizing a particularly large piece, yelping at the flames that threatened to lick her fingers. Ahh, so very hot! Well, of course, it was fire, but still!
Squeaking slightly, she rushed back over, flusteredly hopping from one foot to the other. "S-Should I help? Would you like me to help?" She stammered stupidly, holding out the branch uncertainly, glancing at Iamel. Yes, the bird-boy did look tired, and Nataki felt a flutter of concern for ihm. "W-Will he be all right...?"

Iamel turned his tired eyes to the woman, still trying to ignore the accusation that he had thouht of his Shiniee in that manner. "Hey." It was an attempt to catch her attention, fingers moving in the air slightly.
"If I like... LET you in my head. It won't hurt, will it?"

The shade hissed in displeasure and sunk into the floor further, disappearing all together and leaving Coailiann stuck in the floor. The wood was digging painfully into the struggling girl's stomach.
"...It let go. It disappeared..." She whimpered as she kicked her feet, "But I'm stuck!"
How would she be able to get OUT of that damn floor? As far as she knew, there was nothing below her.
She was halfway into the third Level of the in between and her color was getting darker by the moment.

"Yes please, Nataki." Thae said shortly, partially humming to herself under her breath as she tried to scatter the shadows around the poor girl. "Try to scramble fugly's shadows over here..." She paused for a moment, then fell into a fit of giggles that was entirely her own little secret. Thae wondered if they could turn the shade into disgusting, black scrambled eggs. So to speak.
Blinking once she realized she was being talked to, the redhead turned her head a bit to stare back at Iamel. After making sense of what he'd asked her, she just shrugged. "I don't think it'll hurt as much..." But she was still drawing on fire. If it had been like, healing of something, she doubt it would have hurt at all. But fire, pah. Then, of couse, Kay spoke out. It was...gone? Hurray she did it! However, this was no time to cheer...especially once she noticed the girl getting darker.
"Besides Iamel, doesn't look like we need it but we DO need to get that pretty girl out of he floor." Thae looked around, then down at the ground. With an internal sigh, Thae stomped her foot down on the ground, to hear what the floor was made of. "This is...wood, isn't it?" She questioned slowly. "Then break it. This place is a mess anyway. But uh...You...two..." Thae pointed at Malen and Kishi, her face distorting in her recognition and confusion. "Err...yeah. Try to pull her out first. In the meantime...Nataki and...fox-boy. Take my s--" Thae paused in her words; she didn't know who the boy was, it would be cruel to call him what Yashima told her he was to her. "--the Drow...and go find something to cover a hole with so we don't fall through." And to prevent an open "COME GET ME!" sign to the rest of the In Between. These people weren't light spirits, and while what they could do was very little in Thae's mind, at least it was something, right? At least they were trying.
"We might need your sword again, if you don't mind making holes in the floor." She informed the woman who had been beating the shadow beforehand. "Suck it in, pretty girl! We'll try and pull you out, first." Thae then turned her attention back to Kay, kneeling down to put her colder hands underneath the girl's arms as a sort of brace.
"Oh yeah! You with the bow." She momentarily twisted her aqua gaze towards Kyo. "You've got two choices, go with Nataki and the boys to keep them safe, or you stay here with the group." Her mind was still screaming that the dark boy should be protected at all costs...but that was still the borrow soul screaming.

"Eh...a'right then." His eyes closed again and his body went limp, leaning back against the wall he had been leaning on. If he could just sleep, just for a little while...he'd be okay.
Yashimas eyes narrowed at Zah being called 'the Drow', his jaw setting slightly. "My name is Yashima. HIS is Zasalamel. And why dont you just take a staff or something to break it open?"
His wand was touched briefly again before his hand went to Zahs elbow, leaning against his friend once more. "C'mon, Zah... let's go find something while they get Kay out of there."

"I'll stay here, Yashima. Could I ask you to keep an eye on Oak some more? I really do appreciate it."
Kyocho nodded. As much as he would rather be sitting in the garden basking in the sunlight with his treeling Oak by his side or playing in the weeds. This is where he would need to be right now. Yashima seemed to be a good babysitter anyways and Oak was taking a liking to him.
"The name is Kyocho by the way. Now is there anything you need help with? I may not have a sword, but we are in a training room after all."
Placing the bow back over his head and resting it on his shoulder and returned the arrows back to the quiver.

Finding herself manuvered over to a different perch, the little vine girl found that, quite suddenly, she had a great deal more freedom to observe the world around her. Eagerly, Vana used this newfound power to crane her head about, looking to the source of the fuss.
.... Ah. So THAT was what was going on. There was a little girl stuck halfway through the floorboards.
As utterly inappropriate a reaction as it would be for any older child, Vana couldn't help but to find the situation... well... hilarious. Absolutely so. Perhaps because she hadn't recognized the danger in the situation, rather than distressing the Lesidhe, or else drawing her into a deeper funk, the sight of the Sidhe girl wiggling around in the floor, and all the commotion of the adults trying to figure what to do about it.... This was interesting.
Vana allowed herself a small, shy smile, leaning in a little closer to Zah as she watched the situation eagerly.

Nataki had just prepared to smack her burning stick into the ground--when Kay suddenly said it was gone. But she was still stuck, her pale skin beginning to dampen to an even nastier shade of grey. Jerking to attention, eyes wide, the blonde listened carefully, shooting an uncertain glance towards Yashima and...the 'Drow'. Zah. "I...I can do that." She swallowed lightly and nodded, studying the hole for a moment. What could they use to cover it? Perhaps there was something in the hallways that could help.
Stumbling lightly towards the door, the nervous creature peered over her shoulder to see if the two boys were coming and pulled open the door--squealing in surprise when the fire from the burning stick lightly seared her hand. Tossing it hurriedly back in the pile, she shook her hand out, and peered outside the door, checking to make sure there weren't any shadows outside. "Well...Do you have any suggestions?" She addressed the two boys, her tone surprisingly light and friendly, not displaying very much of her timid nature from before. Oh, her voice quivered a bit, but she certainly looked calmer.

"Um, Sure." Shira contemplated on what to do with the fire before throwing it back into the pit with the rest. She picked up the sword she layed next to the fire, shrieked while biting her lip, and dropped it.
"s**t." She waved her hands at her sides and brought them close to her face. She cursed at herself for picking up the heated hilt. Why wasn't she looking when she threw the damn sword somewhere?
Shira sighed and nudged/kicked the blade towards Coailiann. She waited a little while for it to cool down while examining her burnt hands. They were red, already puffing up, and it had hurt a lot to bend them too much.
"Figures." She'd just have to work with them anyway. Not like the end of the world. She gripped the sword firmly in one hand and ignored the pulse and prickiling of the burned skin. "Ready?" She looked at Coailiann.

"Yashima, Zasalamel and Kyocho, then." Wow the Drow kid had a long name. Oh well. She made a small bow in thanks, casting a smile towards Nataki. Well, that made things easier, now that she knew their names, at least.
When the small scouting group had left, Thae turned back towards the woman with the sword. "Eee...Not yet! We're going to try and pull her out, just once more." There were too many people to start swinging a sword around now!
"Staff? Would they be strong enough?" She blurted out stupidly. Somehow, she didn't think a staff would work. Thae didn't know what this shop was about, after all.
----
Zasalamel flinched as he was called 'The Drow'. He knew by now that this woman wasn't his Ilhar...but the resemblence between the two women was still so strong that the harmless comment hurt. He turned towards Yashima when he felt the hand on his elbow, nodding to his friend's words.
"Lohbee, mehbe." Zasalamel said slowly, glancing towards the nervous woman, then to the little vine girl on his hip, then back to the floor out of habit. It'd been wrecked pretty badly, hadn't it? There should be something there to cover the hole they'd eventually be making....right?
Though his step had the occassional falt to it (he was pretty upset, after all), he only thankfully headed out of the room that the redhead occupied. Being ordered to do something, even though indirectly, was something he needed. Of course, he took Vana with him; they were told to keep the little ones off the floor, after all.

"Eh?" Shira blinked once before letting anxiety deplete and look sheepish. "Sorry, of course." She let go of the sword, her hands aching less, with a slightly thankful cheer for not having to swing at anything yet.
"Staff? Maybe..." She looked the room, unsure of where to search. "Um....I think there might be a staff..." She walked to the wall that held mutlipe pieces of offending metal, "here...somewhere." She throughout the wall and perked up with the sights of what seemed to be a staff at the end.
"Think i found one." She reached up to pull the tall weapon off the wall.

"Lobby?" Nataki repeated quietly, not having as much difficulty translating the accented words this time. "That's a good idea." Swallowing lightly, she spared a glance for the child he was carrying before scuttling into the hall. "W...Which way's the lobby?" Goodness, everything looked the same to a stranger--and she certainly didn't have enough pride to mind asking children for help. Better than running into those awful things again.

Coailiann may have felt the Shade move, but while it disappeared, it didn't go away. In fact, the Shade seemed to be snickering to himself. All the light was not good, but he could deal with it. There was energy and he was trying to grow.
While everyone was busy trying to get Coailiann out of the floor, the Shade slunk behind Yashima before he could leave the room and hissed out, wrapping his shadowy arms around the fox.
"Energy...mmm...Yes energy."
He couldn't speak very well, and it came out in a garbled kind of mumble that was hard to make out, but it was a noise.
A feeling of ice cold would come over the fox-boy and a giant pull of energy. Hopefully, he'd remain quiet.
The others seemed to be too busy doing other things to notice.
