"Oh, yes, of course!" He blushed slightly again, not meaning to sound desparate for company. "I mean, if you really want to..." He raked his fingers through his hair and sat back down.

A warm smile spread over Laramie's face as she settled down on the fountain's lip, subconsciously arranging her skirts around her feet. She gave Rohan a good once-over before she spoke again. "So. Do you come around the gardens often? Much of a plant-lover?" Odd conversation starter, but at least it was a conversation starter.

Rohan stretched his legs out infront of him, long and thin-ish. His whole body was rather reed-like. When seeing her smile, he smiled as well. "Yeah. I love the outdoors more than being inside. Partly because I'm an elf but mostly because it's just...nicer and not so stuffy. Uh...how about you?"

Laramie nodded. "I'm almost always outside. Most of the time I forget to go home to sleep and end up spending the night in trees. But the trees where I live aren't as nice as the ones here...a bit more...dead." she chuckled nervously. "And I like to read outside...I do that a lot...reading..." Between sentences she'd begun humming again. It was an odd effect, really.

Rohan tried imaging the trees she was used to and, surprisingly enough, it wasn't so hard to do. "You like sleeping in trees? Like, dead-ish trees? I'm too wimpy for that...though Ero might." He then began listening to her humming and found it rather nice to listen to.

"Oh...well...yes. Dead and...sort of...twisted." she explained. "I live in this place called Wonderland, you see. But...it's not like the Wonderland in stories. It's a bit...morbid." It seemed rather odd that a bright creature such as Laramie would live in such a deathly little corner of the world. "It's not really that scary...the people that live there try to be, mind you, but they don't do a very good job. They're just wierd." The humming was calming her down, her conversation getting a little less forced.

Rohan nodded, trying to understand. "So...you live there? You don't seem the type..." He blinked then tried to reword his statement. "I mean...you look very nice...and aren't scary. Why would you live in such a place?"

Laramie shrugged. "Good question, really. I was sort of put there, I guess." she smiled oddly. Though she looked like she wouldn't belong there, sometimes she surely acted it. "You could come see it sometime, if you'd like. It's rather interesting..in its own wierd way...and there's a labyrinth. It's fun for games and such. And my house...well...the house where my room is. It's a labyrinth in and of itself really. Hide-and-seek would be insane in that place..."

"It sounds interesting...though I think I'd get lost." The thought of him walking around in a maze-like atmosphere that was also a bit creepy made him laugh. "No...I know I'd get lost. I even got lost in the manor a few times and it's not a very complicated place."

"Oh, well. I didn't mean for you to visit on your own. I could show you around." she shrugged. "But I guess if it sounds too creepy..." another shrug. "Anyways. Where is it you live?"

"Oh, no no! I'd love to come over sometime... It might be fun to walk around in." He raked his hand through his hair again, a nervous habit of his. "Me? I live at the Trist Manor with ten other people right now. More will probably be coming at some point..."

"Fun? Heh...that's the least of what it'll be...it'll be quite the experience." She nodded meaningfully. "Ten people?" Lara's eye widened at the thought. "That's more people than I even know here..." She bit her lip. "I live by myself right now...but I've heard rumor that there'll be at least one other person living with me at some point..."

Rohan paled slightly then gave a nervous laugh, wondering if he should really go or not. "Hm...yeah, it's a lot. It's amazing how fast it grew." He then looked at her, her ears twitching slightly. "Well, then you won't be lonely there. Of course...if you want...I could be your friend so then you can't say that you don't have any."

"Oh...I'm just playing with you...it's not that much of a crazy place...er....well...it is crazy...but...not dangerous or anything..." Then Laramie grinned. "Really? You'd be my friend?"

"So long as you'd walk around with me?" He feared getting lost in such a place...crazy or not. "Of course I will. I rather enjoy making new friends when I can..."
