Kashi knew the girl was behind him. Any other person probably wouldn't sense her, but he let her follow him. It would let her learn. He chuckled a bit, not audible to her though, his feet still moving. He then leapt to the temple and landed. Togashi had just left and was walking down the road. He didn't care really...not a bit.
He strode into the temple, his eyes looking about. A monk walked up and smiled at him. "Good day Ronin-dono. Please, we don't allow weapons in our temple..."
Kashi turned his crazed eyes to the man. "Then kill me with your kunai old man." He blew past him toward the shrine. "This place is a defilement. A honored place of the Shinsengumi...I'm here to kill those supporters." He turned, his eyes glinting in the light. "Come at me priests of death and traitorism. Come and try to defeat me."
His blade slide from the sheath and was then held at his side, He breathed evenly as the priests began drawing different weapons from under their habits. So they had been found out. Well, it couldn't be helped. Right? Silver flashed, and people attempted to yell. Kashi would begin moving well before their weapons moved to attack and miss.

Akira stayed on the roof, going on her belly and looking around. She wondered why Kashi had enterd that shrine but she jumped down adn slunk across the street and into the shrine herself, clining to shadow. She stood stiffly, rigidly in her hiding place, watching Kashi in amazement and a tint of fear.

((*thought Lotus was at one time a supporter of Shinsengumi...* But whatever moves the story along. After all her father was a head figure in the organization...but post 2))
Kashi's movements were in one word...godly. He dodged under a chain and sickle moving at the priest with nearly unmatched speed. The katana slid up and connected with the man's groin. He used the hilt to cut up to the man's sternum. He then flung the man over him in a turn. The now dead priest flew from the blade at another holding a bo staff. He reflected the man off.
Unfortunately the man turned back in time to see Kashi's blade slice down through his head. Then at the middle it turned and Kashi slid the blade out and through another priests' neck, decapitating him immediately. He thrust that priest, who carried ninja straight blades into a katana weilding one. Kashi, as the man with kunai, katana, Odachi, and twin kodachi watched him.
Kashi picked up the cut off bleeding head and let the blood soak over his head. He turned his blood red head to look at the men. His lips open to speak. "I win." Then, he's moving, his after shadow there for a good five seconds. The men don't realize he's moved until the priest with the odachi fell to the ground dead. Kashi now was charging at the katana man who had just gotten his blade from the ninja blade priest.
He turned to meet Kashi with panic in his eyes. Kashi's scream left all of the men in terror. The S-shaped katana shattered the priest's blade and then cut into his arm and shoulder to leave him bleeding to death. Kashi kicked the man from his blade whirling around to catch the twin kodachi man.
Their eyes meet, Kashi drenched in blood, smiling like a man in ecstasy. "Come on priest. Aren't you supposed to be divine?!" Hie leg kicked up into the priests' gut. Kodachi man stumbled back, and tried to lift his blades to defend, but it was too late against Kashi's speed. His blade cut through both of the man's hands. Then it turned to remove his legs, knee down, from the rest of his legs. The man fell screaming, the pain unbearable.
Kashi looked at the man and brought his foot down. The man's face contorted, and then crushed with a sickening squash under his foot. Kashi's blood eyes turned to look at the kunai priest with an insane smile. "Well priest? Will you kill me? Can you achieve what they did not?"
The priest opened his mouth to reply but saw Kashi moving before he could utter a sound. He brought up the kunai in a reaction move. He felt pressure upon them both as Kashi got real close. "The answer is no, you pitiful weak creature you." Then with a small movement back and a flying punch, the priest died. His nose bone up in his brain now.
Kashi pulled his katana from the man's arms and cleaned it on one of the clean reserved towels. They were meant for the gods. But this man defiled it like it was nothing. He turned his eyes back to the men. "That is my answer to the Shinsengumi..." He lets rip a laugh so close to being dead evil that it might be confused. He took the towels and began cleaning himself off from the blood. It hadn't soaked in yet. It hadn't the time with his speeding about.
Kashi stepped outside and grinned. He waved hs hand slowly. "I win." He tossed the towel onto the ground and was up into the air and across the buildings faster than most men could ever hope to be. His steps sure, and more accurate than a ninja's weapons.

((My oh my how I love Kashi whee That's enough reason for them to kill her I suppose then. If she leaves the cause after her father was so deeply entrenched. Ehhe. Then again she doesn't really care and could have left it as her own embodyment. Her father didn't make her a part of it I believe. So no real reason to kill her.))

Akira had not moved, not at all since the started, watched the carnage grow and grow until all the priests were dead. She did not move when Kashi left either, she stared at all the death, the metallic smell of blood filling her nose. The sound of a night bird was what made her jump out of her trance. She left the Shrine of Death very subdued adn started walking back to the inn, her head down, watching the street as her legs walked on it.

Kashi moved back to the inn with ease and entered through the window. He slid in and sat down by the window staring out at the moon. He would wait for Akira, she had seen all of that and maybe thought of him as a monster now...oh well, she knew his business, even if she had never seen that much of it...

She finally made her way to the inn. She entered through the door, still looking at the at the ground. Akira cralwed in bed, this time going completly under the covers and was still; a little lump in the middle of the bed.

Kashi stares out at the sky. "Does it scare you Akira? The blood and death? That's the way it is in this hectic world. You'll become strong though. I'll make sure of it. I'll make it so you can be powerful enough to take care of yourself, and be one of the best ever. I'll make sure of it." He turned looking at the lump and then back out the window. He would have to, after all he was the closest thing to family that she had any longer...

((My GOD... haven't seen this much posting since... well... forever and ever surprised ))
Yumi's eyes widened when Chaos suddenly warned her in his sleep, but she didn't move. Chocked she just sat there staring at Chaos a long while. Then she shook her head and started calmly speaking to herself to be able to think clearly again. This is just too creepy, but he was only talking in his sleep... what he said doesn't have anything to do with me... he was dreaming, he was somewhere else... But I haven't met Chaos that many times before... he's never told me I'm in danger before... he's never... Yet again Yumi was feeling very insecure, now she was just hoping the guard would come back or Chaos would wake up. She didn't know if seeing the guard again would be a good thing, but at the moment she needed some company. With a few deep breathes she managed to calm down again, but without ever really relaxing.
