There are occasions where it is medically necessary to hold off delivery until after 40 weeks, but it's rare and almost always requires intervention to keep the kid in. A NATURAL failure to deliver after 42 is almost always BAD.

I actually knew a family where the mother had one child, twins, and then triplets with no medical intervention.

It's not that it's not possible, AND the more pregnancies you have the more chances you have of multiples (My MIL has twins and was always like "you could have twins!" but she had FOUR pregnancies plus the girls are identical so there's no genetic linking that would have caused me to have a higher rate of twins, but still. You have Four pregnancies you're upping your odds one of them is going to be more than one baby. Plus the older you get the more likely you are to concieve twins and the girls were her FOURTH pregnancy so there you go.)

I'm pretty sure if it were for both sides the chance might be greater. I 'supposedly' have that genetic trait because my great grandparents were twins and there are other twins in my family, but I think my dad just likes to tease me. xd

yikes, twins!
My mum is a twin, and my hubby's mum miscarried twins so the chance is there for us. eek
My best friend had twins and I wondered how she did it...they are such sweet little girls, probably 18 months now.

I understand its point, but gosh darnit does it need to make it sound like ALL parents/mothers are like that! Er, if its one thing that I ahte about the ED is all its frickin' generalizations! stressed

If I see one more mom in the store calling her child names and threating them with phisical harm for no aparent reason I'm gone scream. I swear ever time I go out I run into one of these mom's and I just really want to say "if you think your kid is such a brat, maybe you should lead by example and stop being such a b*tch!" I understand kids can be over whelming at times, but what good does it do to treat them like something you stepped in because they aren't behaving the way you want. scream

Hikari - That is rediculous. I don't want my son to be a baby forever, but he'll be my 'baby' until the day I die. xd

Angie - Yeah, I used to see that all the time. It's rediculous. I don't see it where I live so much anymore though. I lived in town when I used to see it all the time.

Exactly! I'm not stupid enough to sit there and think my baby will be a baby forever and all cute and cooing. Hell for all I know my baby could be a cryer or a screamer, but I will love my baby no matter what.

But I'm also going to love watching him or her grow up, but they will still be my "babies"; my little boy or my little girl forever.

Awesome...

Oh yeah...now to the wonders of Wisconsin and one of the stupid people we had that lived not far from my house actually. xd Okay...not far enough.

Linky goodness

Of all reasons this uh...'man' tried to sell his daughter because he was apparently having a hard time raising her and decided that he could sell her and make improvements on his house. =/ Oh yeah...a real win win situation.

Panda-That's absolutely awful! At least the people who were going to "buy" her seemed genuine in really wanting a daughter. I suppose that's better than her real father who obviously didn't give a damn.

Okay on to my new rant.

I'm sure everyone who's been to my wedding thread in Events knows that the reason I never posted wedding pictures is because I didn't have them. Why didn't I have them you ask? Because my in-laws are horrible, inhumane, evil human beings!!!! We have been asking for our pictures for over a month now. The answer we kept getting was "We've just got to get them on CD for you and you'll have them." So me trying to be civil, what did I offer? I offered to have them come to my home (remember, I hate these people) and I would burn disks for them. Did they want that? No. They wanted to have them put on professionally, whatever that means. These people don't know the difference between the power button and the space button to a computer, but why would I know what I'm doing? I'm only in a COMPUTER program for college. But I let it go.

A month later, yesterday to be specific my husband comes down to my work to hand over the wedding pictures he was able to wrangle away from his family. But guess what!? Do we get to keep them? No!

Why can't we keep them you ask? Because we have to make our own copies and give them back. Bull****! His parents have had those pictures for over a month. Everyone who had pictures kept telling us "We don't have them ready for you yet." Come to find out the only reason anyone EVER put them on CD was because his parents gave his sister, his cousin, and his aunt the money to do it. And because they paid for it, they got the pictures not us. Well, excuse the hell outta me IT WAS OUR WEDDING!!!!!

Apprently the stipulation for allowing us to borrow the pictures was that we make our own copies and them make everyone a copy of whatever ones we have. I'm not lifting single frickin' finger for his family! I will not make thema copy of pictures, nor the DVD my mom is making. I've even been refusing to give them ultrasound pictures but that's a whole different rant. They did absolutely nothing for me, my husband, or my mother when it came to the wedding and recpetion. I'm not doing a damn thing that they want! They want something, they'll have to do it the old fashioned way like everyone else on the face of the planet and EARN IT!!!

*SCREAM* People need to learn to research forwards before they send them over email! I get so tired of replying to these things, and "type yelling" at my friends for being stupid enough to forward on hoaxes.

I just got one today, This is a link that has the email, and why it is a hoax, Hoax baby email Link

Anyways what it basically is, is a semi true story of a little baby Called Alexandra in the email but actually called Ola, it says for every time the email is forwarded the family gets 3 cents. (Bs right off the bat there eh?)

Well on one hand, this is a true story, the 3 cents is a lie though. If the email had included the real bank account set up for donations for this family, instead of taking advantage of their and their childs pain and making it into an email hoax then I would be fine with it.

RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!!!! Its not as if this is a difficult comment. Go to any search engine, type: Email Forward then any information on the email, such as a name and situation in this case "Email Forward Alexandra Rigging Fire" And it comes right up with the info! That easy!! ARRGGG I HATE EMAIL HOAXES!

*feels better*

Those are just as bad as the ones claiming that for every person you send it to, Microsoft will track it and give you $___.

Come on people, were you all born on the turnip truck or what? rolleyes

I think the ones that say "if you don't send this to every person on your email with a msn/yahoo/gmail/etc account then we will be shutting down your email account. We do this to know which accounts are active and which ones are not."

Seriously......how dumb are some people?? stare
