Good afternoon! How are you? Do you understand Japanese? I can speak japanese a little. But, I'm not
very skilled yet. (Used for politeness)

冗談ですか。

こんにちは!お元気ですか。日本語が分かりますか。私は日本語が少し話せます。でも、上手じゃないです。

Joudan desu ka.

konnichiwa! ogenki desu ka. nihongo ga wakarimasu ka. watashi wa nihongo ga sukoshi hanasemasu. demo, jouzu janai desu.

(Is it a joke?)

That is what you should have said... what you said is like.... not Japanes... sorry.

Actually it is......i might not have put it in the right order according to english, but I've learned it in my classes.....and I know that the class is correct because my japanese friends agree with what they say. It's kinda heard because I'm learning 4 different languages...lol...I get Korean, Spanish, and Japanese mixed up sometimes xd I should learn Chinese since I'm more of that then anything.

Sore ii, nihongo desu. Demo, SPELLING ii dewa arimasen.
That's right, it is Japanese. However, you're not spelling it right.

For instance, wadashiwa = watashi wa =]

I always had a problem with that......how do you know which way to spell words? I constantly get confused with that. sweatdrop

That isn't. Watch:

e gaga=? dunno what that is. O genki desu ka? お元気ですか(How are you)
des= desu です (said like "dess" but written desu)
ne hon go= nihongo 日本語
wakadimas= wakarimasu 分かります("su" just like desu, however, there is not "di" in Japanese. And no consonants like "s" "N" is an exception)

wadashiwa= watashi wa 私は
ne hon go= nihongo 日本語
squish= sukoshi 少し(when said "Squish" is not close)

wakadimas= wakarimasu 分かります
jousu = jouzu 上手
ja de mas sim= ja arimasen. じゃありません(As stated previous, no "Si" or "M" in Japanese)

I say you need to work on writting and reading Japanese. If you know that then you'll figure out how to pronounce things better. But if you're teacher says what you typed here is correct, then you really need to find a new teacher because that is not even close to real Japanese.

Sorry to be cruel but it's the truth. Luckily you are in this Guild so you can learn it properly at least. Or at least, this stuff above.

So before anything else, learn Hiragana and Katakana, then basic grade 1 kanji so that you will know Japanese.

You learn them... kana and kanji help the most but you just learn the words...

日本語は難しくないです。日本語で書くは大切ですよ。習うはずです。

(Second sentence I'm not sure of... close though)

Nihongo wa muzukashikunai desu. Nihongo de kaku wa taisetsu desu yo. Narau hazu desu.

Hi....
(Yes) ^.^

To point out, "yes" in Japanese is "hai" はい. What you said is "hi" ひ(hee) As an instructor and learner of Japanese, hiragana and katakana you HAVE to learn because there's are many mistakes you have been making and learning the kana will only help you to learn REAL Japanese like the people in the advanced thread use.
