Xenostatica Mercy nodded as she thought about what the lack of dreaming could mean, "I might miss the place if I could remember it." She chuckled at the lack of a break. She looked back and forth and took a step in the opposite direction of the hidden restraunt/pub.
She turned back around, "Since I am not familiar with the docks or ships, I think that it would be more appropriate if you lead the way." She was coilling the whip around her as if it were a reptile of sorts. “Dreams can be tricky like ‘at, I think.” Zasar chuckled, and took his words in for careful consideration, screwing up his face in thought and scratching the back of his neck. “Sure,” he continued, swinging away from Mercy to peer down the streets. “Shooould be… ‘dis way.” He motioned down one road with his thumb. Taking a moment, he rubbed the stubble on his chin and looked towards the other streets (he didn’t come along these ways often, but that wasn’t to say he wasn’t sure of where he was going), before nodding and heading down the previously pointed out route.

There he went again, saying sweet things to her, in a way teasing her know she couldn’t have him with out giving up a part of herself. “You know I am starting to think your going to make this very hard for me, to resist you I mean.” she said with a smile as she shook her head.
“I don’t need you to pay me…not yet.” she added looking at him staring at the ceiling. “But the potions may be fun, however until I desperately need one or the other, you’re my guest here, a friend, with free room…for now love.” she added walking over to him and ruffling his hair. “Besides I enjoy you company too much to dare ask you to pay for it, I know how that feels.” she said a slightly hurt look in her eyes, thinking about how many men were only nice to her to get with her, and she was paid to be nice back.
Shaking her head of such thoughts she smiled down at him, “Well good Doctor, its getting rather late, what do you say we go to bed.” she said with new enthusiasm.

Nekura raised a finger to Ayira, "To our seperate beds Ayira." He commented, a smile upon his lips as if he believed she was going to try and crawl into his bed.
"In that case, consider them gifts for letting me stay here free of charge as your friend Ayira." He said to her before standing up and giving Ayira a lingering, friendly hug.
He then sat back down on the bed and smiled at her, "Good night and sweetest of dreams Ayira."

She followed behind Zasar, not to close, but close enough that others would not bother her if they had gotten any ideas.

The babe in Severin's arms peered up at him in a scrutinizing way, then twitched his nose and closed his eyes-settling in for sleep. It was early in the morning, and sleep did sound rather nice after such a trying day. The Doctor needed time to think over all of this, it was so shockingly sudden, he wasn't sure if his mind had accepted it as truth or not.
He carefully pulled Ankou's hood further over his face and opened his jacket to shelter him. Before bowing to the occupants of the Velvet Room and leaving without another word. He was never a man of conversation, choosing to rather come and leave with little said.
Dr. Oddssen travelled as fast as he could to his home in the Boneyard, his mind whirring with so many thoughts, that he nearly passed right by the stone Tomb. Nipping under the alcove, he couldn't help, but think how appropriate a home this was for him and his new child.. His new child. Death. An involuntary shudder racked the man's body, but it did not wake the sleeping babe..
What was he to do?
The question lingered in his mind as he walked down the passageway to the lowerparts of the tomb, and began to busy himself with cleaning and preparing a place for the child to sleep. He had a makeshift bed the child could use... Perhaps he could try to sleep with Ankou aswell? Ankou... He needed a new name, for the northern man did not want to think of Father Death everytime he spoke to the boy.
"A name..?" Severin tested out loud, his soft words seeming to unsettle dust as they floated through the still, underground air. "I shall have to ask Larry for an opinion.. I do not think I can deal with this myself.."

Zasar replied with a hearty laugh, grinning widely, and absently reaching up with both hands to smooth down his faded blue-grey vest. He didn’t comment anymore however, but kept his grin, leading the walk in silence. After a while, they finally turned down another street, the water visible a little off in the distance. The sea captain began to pick up his pace.

It is the luck that has been dealt to them. "What a shame that all that water and no way to drink it!"

Drinkable.” He didn’t know how, but he seemed quite confident that they would. Soon the harbour came into better view, with the few docked, but unusable boats bobbing in the water from where they had been roped.

Yami couldn't sleep. It had been a few minutes after her sister bid goodnight to her, but Yami couldn't find the urge to sleep...and forget what was happening....more so, it was the things that happened on this day that made her stay up. She felt like a lost little child, who only now found out about herself.....when she forgot everything....
She felt uneasy about sleeping, merely for the fact that she couldn't....but would sleep cure this forgetfulness? Would it actually cure her? She couldn't remember how she forgot everything in the first place...was she born with an illness....or did something happen that she just couldn't find in her memories? Would sleep truly cure it? Thinking about it, she lay her head on top of her bed, and closed her eyes, letting everything surrounding her turn into a blur of color.

Date: Day 4 of Summer Time: Early Morning Weather: Cloudy, cool, windy, some lightning/thunderEarly morning sunlight was choked by dark, heavy clouds coating the city of Wynander. Only short bursts of lightning touched the clouds, calling forth shapes that recoiled into the shadows. The starved cries of mutts pierced the sky in the interlude between thunder.
Scraps of parchment littered the ground, some nailed to the doors of buildings. During this early hour, the Peace Enforcement officers distributed papers with a proclamation from Vision Tower.

Hikari Chou was startled awake by a rather large boom of thunder. She sat up in her bed with her back as straight as a board, her breathing ragged from the shock of being awoken from a nightmare by such a loud noise. However, once she found out the source of the noise she instantly calmed down. Throwing her blankets to the side of the bed she slowly climbed out of it.
She moved to her bed side and grabbed the tattered white skirt and pink top that sat there. She quickly dressed into the clothes and taking the red robe she had bored, made her way into the kitchen.
She turned on the water from the sink and let her fingers sit underneath the water for a moment before sitting the red robe into the sink, with the intents of washing it before returning it too Annie. As she worked, she idly wondered it Yami was up yet.

Quote: Shuffling slowly through the haze of the early morning, somehow the blind man avoided attracting attention from mongrels, thugs, and Peace Enforcement officers. As he arrived at the appropriate house, he felt the wall of the building with his hands, as though he could sense whether he was at the correct house from touching its surface.
"Well, does seem to be the place," he remarked quietly to himself.
Sliding against the wall with his hands, he finally reached the door, striking it twice with his knuckles.

Emi quickly awoken from her sleep, lying on the wooden flooring in a cold sweat, she quickly rose up and looked around. She was still in her room...last she remembered she was sitting on her bed..staring at the closet...she shook her head, trying to bury the nightmare she had and how much she dispised the weather that bothered her yesterday..for some odd reason as Emi though, she just hated the rain.
quickly getting herself up and coming downstaires to her shop after washing up and what not. She blinked a couple of times, there were a couple of pieces of papers on her shop windows. She imediatly exit her shop and stood there.
Emi grabed one of the papers from her window and read the letter. She read the letter over and over again, and slowly crumpled it up and took down the other one off her window and walked back in her shop. She went to the cabinet where she kept her food and took out a cake that she recieved yesterday and sat down on the table. As she started to eat it she silently spoke to herself "Sehket....that name sounds familiar.....

Hikari jumped at the sound of the knock, a small squeek escaping her lips. Who would be knocking? Fear dripped into her veins as she instantly wished for Yami to be up.
She instantly turned off her water and tiptoed to the door, looking out a nearby shattered window to see who the guest was. When she saw the man she stared at him long and hard, before determing he seemed harmless enough she opened the door wryly.
"H-hello...who. Who...are you?"

A clap of thunder woke him, but the first thing a groggy Eli was able to notice out of the ordinary happened to be the dog sprawled across his back, and the foul breath in his face. With a sharp cry of protest, he squirmed off of his bed and onto the dirt floor, wiping drool from his face. "Gah! Yew disgusting, mangy, good fer no-" Mutt joyfully gave him several Good Morning kisses. Thus ensued their morning ritual of dog mauling human, human chastising dog... and dog mauling human.
"Get offa me," Eli finally growled, pushing the stray from his lap and stretching to his feet. "Now I really need a wash," he muttered, grabbing a battered basin from the bookshelf and slipping outside. He claimed a large gulp of the cool morning air before turning to his trusty water barrel and ladle.
Once Eli was back inside and washing, a wary Mutt stuck his head under the canvas to eye the dark clouds. They'd made such a racket that night he'd had no other choice but sleep near Eli. That was it- no other choice. So really it wasn't his fault the human'd been so upset! Assured of his innocence, Mutt chearfully chased after a stray piece of paper. Aha! The prey has been captured! Now, to show Eli!
It's hard to ignore an eager Mutt when he's decided he's important. "Waddya want?" Eli blurted, turning to the dog now prostrate across his feet, tail pumping. Mutt shoved his nose into Eli's knee, successfully bringing attention to his latest catch. Rolling his eyes, the human retrieved the scrap of paper, (Mission accomplished!), and sat on the wooden bench. "Yew and yer antics..." said Eli as he started to read the announcement.
"Did yew see this, Mutt? Ha! Traitor... pro'lly just some'un in the wrong place a' the wrong time. Our Lord Sehket- bah!" with that, the now crumpled piece of parchment found it's way through the canvas and into the street. Still grumbling under his breath, Eli lent a pat to the dog before setting about opening the windows and door.
