I will protect Torin as best as I can. His being away from Charli is my only concern. As you learn, protecting him, as well as yourself will become your responsibility. I can teach you a great many things, once you accept and swear fealty to Lord Darva.

He glared a bit not liking having Torin be threatened. But he could find no real fault in helping these people... if they helped him seperate Torin from everyone else but him. Torin would only be safe WITH Kin. That was all that mattered. "Alright we have a deal... you get me Torin alone and I'll help you out... though I'm not sure how I can help"

His eyes narrowed determined as he reached out and grabbed Torins arm pulling him towards him. Semi-glaring at Charli the whole time

Torin looked around then blinked in surprise and confusion as Kin seemed to come out of nowhere and grab him pulling him away from the others... it never occured to Torin to pull away.

TORIN! :;she paniced, something that didn't really happen all that often despite her airheaded personality. she did the first thing that came to mind. she grabbed for his other hand, the one Kin hadn't taken, and tried to pull him back behind him, but she was too late, her hold too weak, and Kin too strong::

: surprised ut of no where a shape hurtles twords them, a blur of purple and blue as suddanly charli would find herself in the arms of a disturblingly handsome or lovly face, hrd tot ell which, putple hair falls into ehr rescuer's eyes as another blur of purple and black races twords Torin and Kin:: I'll save him brother! ::the second blur yells, diving at the maram master and her playthings::

Not sure what these blurs wanted Kin pulled Torin close.. away from the new people, and held onto him tightly. Though he had smirked at Charli when he saw her failed attempt to try and steal Torin away.

::she froze the moment Torin, the woman, and the boy all disappeared. the moment didn't last long though as her hand dropped limply and she stared at the spot they had been. Torin, her first real friend in ages, was gone. just like that. snatched up by their enemy... no. she wouldn't allow it! she simply wouldn't! it was times like this when her noble blood showed through narrowed eyes and the determined expression on her face:: Joseph!
::as though summoned by his name, he steps forward, eyeing the stranger holding his young charge suspciously. he didn't comment, however. Charli rarely used his given name, so when she did he took her as seriously as she wanted to be taken:: yes, young miss?
phone. ::she held out the hand that she'd been reaching toward Torin to receive a cellphone:: get the car.
yes, young miss... : surprised ne last glare at the purple haired boy and then he walked off, not liking the situation one bit, but trusting Charli to remain so focused that even if he'd wanted to do anything the boy wouldn't distract her::
::she flipped open the cell and punched in a number quickly:: Papa, they took Torin.... i simply love how you know who "they" are. no, they didn't touch me, they just wanted Torin... i'm planning on it, yes... if the occasion calls for it, i will... no, we're returning home first.... who are you? ::she blinked at her savior, seeming startled. she'd honestly forgotten about him until just that second:: no, i know who you are Papa, i meant the boy.... yes he left me with a--i'll speak to you when we get home, Papa, have tea ready. i believe we'll have guests. ::before Papa could reply, she snaps the phone shut:: who are you?
