As it turns out, someone else won the giant tube of lube. I was the second-closest guess, only off by ~20 or so. Because the tube was a perfect cylinder, I counted how many were on top layer and then counted down a single 'column' of objects, then multiplied them. I added 8 to account for any I didn't see, but I must have missed a row.
(This is my easy way to win those counting contests, if you ever run into them. It's still possible to use this method with funky shapes, but you'd have to get creative.)
Gaynesville Pride (the Pride Festival for Gainesville, where I live) is Octber 25th this year. so I still have a while to go.
but today's newsletter from the Pride Center was very saddening for me.... Lady Pearl, the local celebrity Drag Queen and organizer o fthe Pride Parade and Drag Show every year, passed away.... sad
