Constance nodded slowly as she lowered the shield. She looked at her hands and shook her head slowly. That was something that she had never done before. "Let's get dressed and find them," she said softly. ~~~~~ Cassandra giggled when she saw both Kasumi and Alicia jump. Merida had just looked over her shoulder at her with a smirk. "Good movie you're watching here. I love it." She saw how Kasumi's eyes widened and then changed colors. She followed the other woman's gaze. "Kasumi, what's wrong?"

Merrick nodded as he shifted his weight, his eyes narrowing slightly as he heard the Raptor News Network over the radio; the usual anchor wasn't there, but it claimed that a group of supposed terrorists known as the 'Order' was being raided by SWAT; his eyes widened fractionally, hearing who supposedly was under siege, especially on a black haired guy with a red lined leather jacket and black hair. He recognized the description of the guy, but couldn't put his finger on why. He turned towards the door, the slight frown still on his face. Why do I get the feeling that we're not the only ones fighting the demons and hunters? he thought.

Kasumi's gaze flicked to Cassandra before she spoke. "What few people realize is that the way most lower level demons slip through into the human world is through Limbo; the reason psychics are usually 'out of it' or stressed is because they are able to either sense or partially project themselves into Limbo, and sometimes, the demons that slip through are able to sense strong sources of magical or spiritual energy... and because of Merrick's bloodlines from both myself and his father, it makes him sensitive to it and them. Though... if I'm right, then the silver hair marks him as a descendant of a very, very powerful demonic bloodline rivaled only by Constance's grandfather.... Mundus," she said quietly.

Lorcán blinked as Kasumi revealed something he'd suspected for a long time, but had no certainties of. His eyes widened fractionally when Kasumi revealed the name of Constance's grandfather. "You mean that Mundus? The one that supposedly was Lucifer's second-in-command during the First War between Heaven and Hell?" he said with surprise. At Kasumi's hesitant nod, he sighed softly.

Constance went to the wardrobe and pulled it open, quickly donning a pair of blue jeans and a forest green tank top. She slipped on a pair of converse shoes and as she was tying them she looked over at Merrick. Her hair had fallen over one shoulder and she smiled at him a little. "We'd better get going before something else happens. With how things have been going recently..well I expect another attack any minute now."~~~~ Cassandra blinked as Kasumi spoke. She hadn't expected such a long speech like that from her. She looked around at everyone before stopping her eyes on Kasumi. "Kasumi..could we maybe talk alone for a minute?" She asked softly. She saw the look that Merida gave her, but she ignored it. She wanted to know if Kasumi knew anything about Constance being her niece, and why the spell that had kept her memory away had broken. At the moment she didn't want anyone else to know. Not until she had a chance to speak to Constance. Merida shrugged a little and sighed. Cassandra was hiding something, but what was it? She smiled a little, pleased. As soon as Lorcan and Cassandra had walked in, she had sensed the difference in them.

Merrick nodded as he quickly got dressed in the same clothes he'd been wearing before, though he noticed that the gauntlet rested on his hand as if it were part of him. "If the demons think that they're going to find it easy to go after my friends and mate... then they're going to find one seriously ugly reception... and considering how some of them look, for them it'd probably be a beauty makeover," he joked as he tamped his feet down into the sandals he'd been wearing and bounced slightly on the balls of his feet.

Kasumi's eyebrow flicked upward, but she rose to her feet with a primal fluidity that reminded everyone that she wasn't fully human, but half kitsune... and half something she didn't talk about. "About what, the fact you got some?" she said bluntly, though the tone was flirty and teasing as she walked towards the redheaded witch elder.

Lorcán cocked his head as he leaned against the wall with a sigh. "Damn, I thought our lives would get easier and less complicated with this meeting, but it seems like things are, pardon the pun, going off the rails in a big way," he muttered.

Constance chuckled softly as she slipped her hand into Merrick's. "They'll have to deal with the both of us. I won't allow them to harm you or anyone else that I care about." She opened the door and stepped out with him. Her head tilted to the side slightly. Somehow she already knew where most of the others were. How could she know? She frowned a little and shook her head. "The media room...they are in the media room." Constance said as she looked over at Merrick. ~~~~ Cassandra rolled her eyes and chuckled as she shook her head. She had forgotten how blunt Kasumi could be sometimes. She slipped her arm through the other woman's and pulled her away from the others. "No, nothing like that. I had a question actually." She pushed some hair behind her ear. "Something...happened," Cassandra said slowly. "A spell was broken. Something that kept my memories locked away, and I don't know how." Her eyes met with Kasumi's. "Constance is my niece. Her father was my brother. For some reason, my mother locked away my memories of him, and I don't know why. Hell, I don't even know why the spell broke."Merida chuckled as she stood up and stretched. "Oh the joys of being a witch in these times." She watched as Cassandra and Kasumi walked away as she leaned against the wall next to Lorcan. "Glad to see you and Cassandra together. The two of you suit each other quite well."

Merrick cocked an eyebrow. "You have the talent to sense magic from a distance much like Lorcán does, though your skill is both instinctive and extremely accurate," he said thoughtfully. He spun as his hand snapped up, an odd sackcloth looking demon with an arm raised to impale him from behind caught by his grip before his gauntleted hand snapped forward, ripping what seemed to be a pulsing purplish aura out before he clenched his hand, the aura seemingly being absorbed as the demon dissolved with a growl into nothingness. "Let's get to the others, quickly," he said as he shifted his gauntleted hand. He turned towards the door as a distant explosion sounded.

Kasumi blinked, shifting her weight. "Interesting; that was something I didn't know; the memory seal may be a good thing, as it would have likely made you a target as well," she said thoughtfully. She felt the floor shake slightly as she heard a distant boom as well.

Lorcán shrugged his shoulders. "She acts like a balance to me in a way; sometimes I'm stubborn and hard headed," he said with a shrug, knowing Merida would know exactly what he meant.

Constance gripped Merrick's hand tighter as the demon dissolved and then an explosion sounded. What was going on here? Nobody should have been able to get in. At least, anybody that meant harm. She just nodded as she hurried with Merrick to where everyone was. She had a feeling that something big was bout to happen. ~~~~ Cassandra nodded slowly. "But why did it break I wonder? What could have triggered it?" She ran her hand through her hair. She glanced over to where Alicia was sitting. "It's no wonder that Alicia and Constance always seemed to be so close." Her gaze went back to Kasumi. Merida chuckled and nodded. "Like I said; you two are good for each other. I am glad." She frowned a little as she felt the floor shake. What had that all been about?

Merrick shifted his weight fractionally, his eyes narrowing for a moment. "I wonder if those SWAT officers know they're as close as they are to here," he said quietly. From his senses, it seemed the blast was on the next block over.

Kasumi shrugged. "l don't know much about Sennō Jutsu, or 'Memory Concealment' techniques. I'm more a combat specialist though I'm also skilled in medical techniques," she said wryly with a shrug.

Lorcán felt a flash of demonic energy on the next block over, but it wasn't malicious. He frowned slightly, figuring that whatever had caused the blast was demonic in nature.

"I doubt it," Constance said with a small smile as they reached the media room. She stopped when she saw Cassandra speaking with Merrick's mother. She smiled a little at the two of them and then a frown appeared on her face. There was something different about Cassandra, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Merida looked up and smiled when she saw both Merrick and Constance. "Well it's good to see you two up and about."

Alede OOC - I don't know if you've ever had the sense of the character writing itself, but sometimes it turns out rather comical.
Merrick cocked his head slightly, a faint smile flashing over his face as he gently ran his hand down Constance's back. "Seems to me we weren't the only one indulging in certain activities," he whispered in her ear, deliberately nibbling lightly on her ear.

Kasumi grinned as she saw Merrick from the corner of her eye. "I assume that glow is from a certain activity," she said knowingly; she could smell that their scents were subtly blended, though in a slightly different way from Cassandra and Lorcan.

Lorcán tilted his head, noticing a subtle change in both of the younger witches. He shivered slightly; he could feel energy pulsing off of both of them, though Merrick's was slightly more potent in nature.

Constance giggled softly as Merrick lightly nibbled her ear. She leaned back against him slightly, enjoying the feel of his hand running down her back. That wasn't the something different she had sensed about Cassandra, but now that Merrick mentioned it she could tell. Cassandra looked over to Merrick and Constance, and smiled. To think that all the times she had seen the young woman and not known that she was her niece. She moved over to the two of them. "You two did a lot to help get me back. And as a bonus we got Kasumi back." She gave each of them a hug. Merida gave her head a small shake. "You know, I almost want to say something," she muttered to Lorcan, "But their adults and all. But I still see Constance as a daughter."

Merrick cocked his head, and though he didn't mention it, he noticed there was something subtly different about her, a different look in her eyes. "You likely will do the same for us one day," he said thoughtfully with a slight shrug as he shifted his head slightly, a faint popping sound coming as the tendons in his neck released some tension. "However, there's something else I wanted to mention, and if it's what I think it is... then it's bad news and may have something to do with that explosion minutes ago," he said grimly as she pulled away.

Kasumi giggled as she noticed how Constance relaxed, leaning slightly against Merrick, though she frowned when Merrick spoke; she noticed a subtle tension running through him. If there's one thing I regret, it's leaving him behind... but better to leave him alone to be raised by monks than by demons, she thought with a slight twist of self disgust to her lips.

Lorcán blinked as he noticed a odd sigil glowing momentarily between Merrick's shoulder blades. Can't be... but that symbol is of that bloodline, and it's one of the major reasons why demons haven't overrun this world, he thought.

Constance couldn't help but smile at Cassandra. She felt at home around the other woman. It was kind of like how she felt with Merrick, but not quite the same. She just knew that whenever she needed something, Cassandra would be there. She shook her head a little as she looked to Merrick. "Always," Cassandra said with a smile at the two of them. She had the urge to just blurt out what she remembered, but she held herself in check. She stepped back and made her way back to Lorcan's side. She leaned against him slightly as she peeked around him at Merida. "Did I ever mention how much of a busy body you can be? And also how pushy?"Merida laughed and nodded. "I've been told." She winked at her friend. "And you're welcome." She looked over to Merrick when he spoke. Her head tilted to the side slightly as she pushed herself away from the wall. "What is it that you need to tell us?"

Merrick tilted his head as he shifted his weight. "When I was younger, I stumbled onto a monk kissing a young woman with an odd sickly yellow aura... and just a short time before, I noticed the same aura coming from a can of Virility," he said quietly. His eyes narrowed at Kasumi's words; she seemed more frustrated with herself than anything. "Supposedly, this 'Order' that they're claiming are terrorists... but I think they're something else, namely a resistance against the demons have that infiltrated humanity over the years," he said warily.

Kasumi frowned when Merrick mentioned the aura. "Damn it.... a Succubus; most of the time those are fairly high level demons, so.... god damn it... that's what I was sensing in Limbo," she said sharply, barking the last few words. She had been sensing something odd in Limbo, but now it seemed to be coming together quickly.

Lorcán cocked his head, listening to Merrick, though his eyes widened at Kasumi's words. "Succubus juice acts as an extremely strong hallucinogenic with some depressant qualities," he muttered.

"Well things just keep getting better and better." Merida said as she went over to the dvd player and stopped the movie. She turned to look at all of them. She put her hands on her hips. "So, what is it that we do next?""Well first we need to get Carolyn and Amelia. This is something all of us need talk about." Cassandra said with a nod of her head. She pushed a strand of hair from her face. "Can I just say something?" Constance said as she looked around at everyone. "We have all been through a lot recently. I think we need to take a breather. Let's take a day or two to just relax. If the fates allow us to." She gave a small shrug of her shoulders.
