Emmy:
"You got it," the maid replies.
She then hurries off to get the cooks to make everyone's food.
Everyone:
Ten minutes later, you're all seated at the table and Jasmine has arrived and ordered. Only moments after taking Jasmine's order, your food arrives. Jasmine's will be several more minutes.
"Go on and eat," Jasmine says. "No need to wait on me."
She pauses for a moment.
"So, anyone curious about your first mission?" she asks. "Excited?"

Emmy gently picks up the hot cocoa with both hands, blowing on it softly, before taking a small sip, and setting the cup down, "I am."

She was cutting her food to be ready to eat when she looked at Jasmine"Sure I wanna hear what we will be doing today."

I merely shrug as I take a bite of rice. "Doesn't matter how soon we're told. The mission won't come any faster either way." I take another sip of tea before taking a bite of tamagoyaki.

"Yeah, I want to know what we'll be fighting! Are we going by a lake or water of some sort?" I say, eating some of my food, whatever seems to be closest.

Jasmine snaps her fingers. Suddenly, a cage surrounds your food.
"Until one of you is ready to take over, I'm in charge on this team," she says. "And you will respect me as such, or you will only be given trail rations instead of meals."
She snaps again, removing the cage.
Everyone:
"A corrupted magical girl has been spotted terrorizing people here in Portland," Jasmine says. "It's our job to take her out. There may or may not be water, Nekora. But Portland is known for lots of rain."

"Hmm... I can work with that! I'd imagine water powers work better when actually in or by water... If theres a lake, or something, I could drag her under!" I say, trying to think of even more uses for terrain.

"Good," Jasmine says. "I think you'll do fine as a team. As long as everyone cooperates."

"Her powers rely on mind manipulation," Jasmine explains. "She got tainted pretty quickly though, so her powers are still weak. She failed to view her actions for what they were: foolish, wasteful, and often destructive. She rarely went a mission without shattering an enemy's mind. And she relished in it. The taint was too quick for us to stop. As for who she's going after...well, the Order in general. She desires access to the Sanctuary so that she can attack the head of the Order, but needs an untainted magical girl to give her access to it, because the gates won't open unless an untainted magical girl is present."

Emmy thought about that, "Since she's after the Order, what if one of us acts like a target, and let's just say me, for now, since I brought it up. Then maybe if she's targeting me, and trying to use me to get access, then others can apprehend her?" she questioned, just throwing out an idea, before eating one of the peanut butter cookies.

I merely cast a sideways glare at Jasmine and speak, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, pardon me for my insolence and being calm and practical instead of an over eager and perfectly obedient girly girl like you expect out of us on our first day." I then return to eating like nothing happened, but I maintain a "Don't ******** with me" aura in case she tries to take my food away from me.

"Yes, that is a perfectly feasible and rather ingenious plan," she replies. "Good thinking, Emmy."
Chi:
Jasmine smiles and laughs a little.
"You know, you might be able to lead this team with an attitude like yours," she says.
You can tell that she's not being sarcastic or condescending.
"However, until that time, I'd like you to remember that I'm in charge, and if you don't have a polite thing to say when OUT of combat, don't say it; or at least don't let me hear it. IN combat, feel free to be impolite as long it helps us both. If you use that attitude on the battlefield in the right way, it'll probably save your a**—and your teammates'—quite often."

Jasmine's comment about me possibly being able to lead the team someday stroked my ego a bit, but I don't let it show. I take another sip of tea as I contemplate what I heard her say about the target so far. "Any recommendations in guarding our minds from her? I know bringing her down as swiftly as possible is probably best considering that even the strongest minds eventually succumb to these things if exposed long enough, but it would help to know what to look out for so we can resist before she can do too much damage."
