Dx you all are lucky you are able to play, the age difference between me and my friends that play makes my parents uncomfortable. Dx
I even have a campaign that puts some to shame. My own pantheon, most of a unique world, three new races, and it secretly forces everyone to become evil to boot! =D

Me and a few of my college friends play D&D over Google+ every Thursday and it actually works out surprisingly well.
We use a network program that gives us a battle mat that we can use for puzzles/combats and it has a built in rolling function that lets you set up dice macros to roll. Its actually VERY useful.
When you have a character like mine, who summons a lot of monsters to fight for him, having macros set up for a Juvenile Blue Dragon's 5 different attack modifiers and damage rolls as well as it's breath weapon ... as well as having macros for the Huge Earth Elemental's three bash attacks and associated 2d10+13 damage rolls... is REALLY convenient.
Plus, it's public rolling, so everyone can see when you fail your FORT save miserably and are horribly horribly CON drained... which keeps people honest with their rolling even when they live in different states.

Someday... Someday I will take the time to learn how to play D&D. And then I shall have to seek out one of these online groups to play with.
Living in a church and having no real life friends does not mesh well with playing a "devil game" tabletop RPG after all.

Hinote Tosatsu Someday... Someday I will take the time to learn how to play D&D. And then I shall have to seek out one of these online groups to play with. Living in a church and having no real life friends does not mesh well with playing a "devil game" tabletop RPG after all. Bah... it's a game like any other. Just because I create characters that wield magic and pray to other gods for spells doesn't mean I believe in Christianity any less.
I'm a Deacon of my church and I've played D&D for years. My Father in law, the pastor of my church still laughs when I leave the Dinner table early to go play D&D, but he says 'Have Fun' ... not 'MAY THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPEL YOU!"
...so yeah. D&D has no effect on your religion unless you allow it to. It's really just a game like any other game, except that it's rule system is much more complicated and it's designed to be imaginative and flexible.
People see it as an 'introduction to the occult'... but I mean seriously? Its no more an introduction to the occult then any video game that uses magic to kill monsters that appear. D&D is nothing more then controlling a CHARACTER just like in a video game, except that you take the role of a character and direct it's actions. It's like saying that anyone who plays Satan in a play... is a satanist.

Problem is I would never convince my parents of that. I have no idea why that is, but it is. My dad calls fighting games and war games "Kill games", and swears that game developers used to pray to Satan to inhabit game cartridges. The words Role Playing Game bring D&D straight to his mind, and the image it built up with Christians way back whenever, that it was evil and turned people into demons or whatever. I never actually asked what they thought was wrong with it. I doubt it's actually anything that bad, but it's still enough that I'd never get away with bringing it into the house. Someday though. Someday I shall take the time to learn the rules, and play it online. It's probably more fun in a forum setting where you can write your actions anyways.

O.O I would ask to join, but I don't have the books and such. Plus, I'm not too sure what version you all are playing, and I've always fancied an Abberation character. ( One who is evil, and associates with Beholders and the such. ) Plus, it would be annoying for me to jump into the game partway through a campaign. Dx But thank you for telling me that people can play it over Google+. ^.^

Dx I want to make a custom jutsu, but none of my ideas ever make it very far. I'd like to have a slightly Taijutsu ish one, but I can't explain them well enough. X.x
Maybe one where they cover themselves with extreme amounts of raiton chakra... ( Although it would end up being a Raikami bloodline technique since it would be enough voltage to severely burn a ragular person. ) Plus it would be an A rank technique. Dx
Hey, while I'm thinking about it, what is the limit for learning? Is it One A rank, two B rank, or three C rank that a Genin can learn?

I think it's only up to 3 C rank techniques for a Genin. Thats what it used to be.

It made sense especially since most genin have a "signature" jutsu or two in their arsenal that they use in dire straits. So yeah, 1 A-rank, 2 B-rank, or 3 C-ranks.
