Marie was quiet. She'd been observing things from the forest where she had fled to practice her whistling earlier. She snuck around to Lysander. "Did the branch hurt you?" the female asked with a curious Gaze. "They won't hurt you. They're all quite friendly... they're warm and welcoming." she said turning away from him, whistling and giggling when a pigeon flew down to her. She sent it away as she stepped out of the trees, the small female making her way to the middle of the Clearing. She looked at Tiki, then at Lilly and then at Faiyrn. She tucked her tail between her legs as she realized she was going to have to decide for herself. She was uncertain so she scuttled to Liliana who had not yet chosen.

User ImageTaki stirred at the feeling of something touch her paw. Gazing down she noticed a small shadow that rose from the shadows around her and draped over her paw before it sunk into the shadows. It was him. The wolf, Herne. He had busied her thoughts and she slowly got to her paws. Dipping her head to Icarus, she scented the air and padded off into the trees.

User ImageHe opened his eyes, gazing at the she-wolf as he stealthily followed her on the opposite side of the clearing. His eyes never left her, the grin widening. He froze at the sound of a branch falling then shrugged it off. He picked up his stealthy pace and skirted the group of wolves that seemed to be dividing. That was nothing to him. He chose to remain alone.

Lysander was startled by the pup that had sneaked up on him and before he could say anything she was already gone out of his little hiding hole. He stood there unblinking and noticed that none of the adult wolves were headed his direction. Letting out a breath of air he had been holding, he shook himself and thought it best to stay as far away from this large amount of wolves. His past experiences with wolves had not been kind when he had stumbled into their territories by accident when searching for his sister. He muttered and took a glance back at the wolves once more before beginning to head away from the area.

[taking him out until pack stuff is settled. I'll probably have him show up at the Lake]

The wolf who had stayed quiet for quite some time. Who stayed out of the way of all of the others, waiting for her moment. She wanted to become an alpha but with the way it was going it wasn't going to end up that way. She knew that for sure but there was still hope. As Fairyn spoke, she knew what she wanted. The she-wolf that was going to be leading the pack Lithi had fought before. She had nothing against Icarus but she knew that she really didn't know him well. However Fairyn she knew could lead.

Lithium ducked her head as she pushed her way through the crowd of others and moved toward the larger she-wolf. Her small body crouching slightly as she leaned forward and licked the female's chin. "I will join you." She said simply as she moved her way behind the female, sitting down wagging her tail idly behind her. SOmething told her that this was going to be good for her.

The forest was full of noise, activity racing through it's darkened halls, yet one wolf could not see what could be causing such a hubbub. Lalania, a rather young-at-heart she-wolf slowly meandered past tree trunks and fallen logs with only sound and smell to guide away from pitfalls. She was quite noticeable against the darkness, a soft glow of light seeming to shimmer upon a snow-white coat.

Yet she was not all looks. She was quite intelligent, and loved a fight of words at times, but usually she was kindly to all those around her, even those she should presumably be afraid of. For one with no sight cannot possibly fear on appearances.

Lalania found her precarious way through the labyrinth of a forest, and found herself near the edge of the din of noise. What a gathering! She thought with a slight smile upon her muzzle. If only one could experience it like I!

She wondered forward into the midst of the wolves, her ears tweaking to and fro, until a voice finally met them that was familiar. It was the wolf who had been so kind to her! She slowly crept her way forward, her head slightly bowed to show she meant no harm (not like a blind wolf could do much harm), before she lowered herself to the ground in a sitting position. "Icarus? So that is what your name was!" She said with a daunting smile that shown with happiness. "You have made a pack? Could I join? I...would show my contributions somehow, I'm sure!" She was admittedly nervous. Being blind was quite a predicament.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The storm-colored male rose to his paws, his tail lifting with interest as Icarus made an announcement to the pack. So they were splitting up into two groups, eh? He trusted the orange male who had been given the position of Alpha; Dawn-Fire, as they were now known. Indra felt he would have no problem following after the younger male, although now he was an adult. He had sound judgement and a good heart, and not mention he had enough brains to admit his own weak points. Indra liked that about Icarus, and almost considered him to be a friend although they'd hardly spoken a word to each other.

Naturally though, he chose to join the wolf that was almost like his own flesh and blood, Andragos and the lovely femme Faiyrn that he had taken as his mate. "Brother, it is by your side that I will stand." He dipped his head in a sort of parting gesture to Icarus and he crossed the forest floor to stand by the midnight colored male and the misty female. When he spotted Lithium though, his tail naturally began to wag. So the elusive female he wanted to get closer to was joining the same pack, huh? What great luck he was having! "I'm glad you're here as well, Lithium. We'll become friends a lot faster this way." Bold, yes. But Indra was in good spirits and whether the feather-colored female wanted his companionship or not, she'd be seeing quite a bit of him in the Storm Keepers from now on. He might as well test the fire while the proverbial skillet was still hot.

User Image Sjunheal nodded sagely as Clio replied, frowning deeply as she spoke of leaving the hunting grounds of the mountains. Of course, now that he thought about it, he had never need a group to hunt - but hey look at him! Nevertheless... the bearwolf could not shake the feeling that there was something that his former pupil was not telling him. He had not seen her bristle so since the first hint of Darkness had crept into their mountain home.

He opened his mouth to reply, but was quickly cut off by the reply of the bright pup, barreling in from some direction beyond the trees. He listened to the words of the Alpha and the insubstantial fae - an Alpha in her own right now, he supposed - and made several belly-deep rumbles that resounded so low, Clio would feel more of them than she heard. The crafty wolf licked one massive paw, watched wolves split up and divide. His voice was as low.

"I'm sorry to break up th' small talk, gel, but this changes things, doesn' it? Splittin' up the packs... Mmm. It's like I came at jus' the wrong moment." Although he couldn't deny the wisdom of the situation. There were far too many wolves here for one creature to control. "But still... Look at all this Haven blood in command. Makes me yearn for some good solid claws to build on." He smiled mischievously, looking at Clio from the corners of wide eyes. "Good, sure claws. Snakeskin claws, even." And Sjun's smile widened, a roguish gleam coming into dire eyes.

Icarus returned a bow of his head to those who told him they'd remain. He smiled glad to have the strength of a Sure-Claw as a Warrior in his pack as well as the kind Taki who still seemed rather unsure. Icarus turned his pale-blue eyes to the others who took the side of Faiyrn versus his and he gave them a smile. He'd be sure to visit Lake Lux often to see familiar faces. The bright male nodded his head to the icy male who had carried a cold air as he passed, remaining silent for the time being.

It was the white female's presence that perked his interest. He had remembered meeting her once on a time when he had been away from the clearing. White ears stood on alert as a light excitement entered him. He tried to hide these emotions and the leader inside him prevented from too many being exposed, but still, he had to reply to the female who could not see. Icarus took a few paces in her direction, just enough so that she could feel the heat that seeped out of him due to his ability. "Lalania, right?" He said with a low rumble in a kind voice. "You require no permission to be of my pack. I'm sure you will find something to help us with." Icarus smiled at her kindly even though he knew she could not see it. Instead, he showed his happiness in his voice, keeping it light and calm.

Clio had turned to the declaration, silent as the two wolves spoke. Her ears flattened as they asked her to make a decision between two wolves that she knew nothing about. Neither of them had ever spoken to her, she had no idea who best best to lead. Still, she knew it was best, the group was far too large for this small group and even in this small announcement many new faces had appeared. With a light growl she showed her discomfort which was suddenly matched by the low growls that she felt shake the ground beneath her. A smile came over her as she realized Sjun was also none too willing to stay either.

Clio nodded to him in response, "Yes, Sjun, I find this a bit much for us." Her eyes glinted at him and she stood. "Claws of the north mountains." She replied with a confident smile, matching that of the bear wolf. "Where to, teacher?" She said with a grin at using her old title for him. Clio was unsure how, but it seemed Sjunheal was hinting at A'cuil in a manner. It pained her to think of him, but she knew from the past that it was always best to listen to her teacher; they always knew the answer. She took a few steps towards the dark calm of the forest, waiting for the bear wolf to take the lead.

User ImageThe pup sighed and relaxed. The other was fine. She looked around for the female she was talking to but noticed she was gone. Whimpering a bit she lowered her head. Other never wanted to stay with her and talk. Just because she was a pup!

She pushed aside her irritation and trotted over to the large bear-wolf and wagged her tail as she sat before him. Her eyes gazed into his as she grinned, "Hiya! Can I come with you guys?" She was strong and sure-footed. Unsure of where her parents were or of what pack but she felt an urge to be with this bear-wolf. She felt safe.

Lalania was shocked to find her heart leap with excitement. She gently got to her feet, and nosed forward until it met fur. She snuffled happily, showing her new Alpha how happy she was to be accepted, and happy he was indeed happy as well. She then backed away and bowed her head with a quick nod. "I must! To please you is a must, don't you think?" She said, letting out a quick bell of laughter.

She then swiveled her head from side to side, listening to the conversations that occurred around her, finding herself enjoying the light heat that permeated her new-found leader. Oh what a happy day!

"Icarus...sire..." She let out a huff in slight frustration." What shall you be called? As an Alpha...there must be a title to be used to show your rank, yes?" She smiled slightly, trying hard not to be too companionable. There was space necessary!

Lithium settled back on her haunches watching everyone do different things. She wasn't that fond of all the wolves around her. she wasn't one for crowds. Sure she was up for the idea of a pack but that was for sure if only there was a lot more room then there already was. Yeah that would have been really nice. She was caught up in her musings as she heard the voice and saw the familiar sight of another.

She looked at Indra with a small sigh, he was that friendly male, he seemed to insist on being friends with her but at the same time she was being really cautious about many of the wolves around here. She wasn't used to being treated like she was worth something not at all. So because of that all of this was new to her. Her ears moved and twitched as the male talked to her.

She was a little surprised at his comment, a small smile grew on her face and she nodded toward him. "It looks like we will." She chuckled just slightly once more then nodded again at him. "It does look like we could become friends like this." Her smile went away. she was never one to smile for that long.

Icarus smiled at the white female, suppressing a grin. As she nuzzled him, he felt his fur stand on end with surprise, for a moment his voice left him. Pale-blue eyes went wide as he didn't understand what had done this to him. This was the first time he had felt such excitement for something other than... food. His tail twitched, his only place to put his suppressed energy.

"To please me?" He said with a light laugh, not exactly sure what she could mean. "There's not much needed just yet..." He said quietly, realizing that he didn't have much direction in the pack.

Suddenly she asked him of a title. This baffled him; he had never been asked for such a thing, nor had he been told such a thing was given to an alpha. "U-umm, n-no." He rumbled lightly, clearing his throat hoping to relieve it from the stutter that had returned from the past. "There is no such title, I am simply a leader among wolves. Just call me by my name, Icarus." Icarus said with a kind smile to the femme.

User Image The eager fae brought a series of chuckles from the bearwolf, and a nod of silent approval. Yes, this was the spitfire Clio! Always had been a quick study, this one. Sjunheal shifted himself to his paws with a surprising measure of grace, falling immediately into a crouch. He was a good head-and-shoulders taller than any other of these wolven - sneaking off might be a tad more difficult than might have otherwise been expected.

And this! this made it much more difficult. Sjun blinked down in surprise at the puppy who approached his paw. Why, she wasn't scared of him in the least! "Come with us, wee one? Aye, but it's a dangerous journey we go on." He leaned closer to the pup, until his wide wet nose might have touched her small one. "Ye'll have to be brave and strong, and willin' to learn our ways if ye' come with us. Can you do it, little sunset?" For that's what she reminded him of, the colors of a good mountain dusk. He glanced at Clio and winked his amusement. Such a brave little pup, with good colors to have.
