((Don't enter yet Mizu, the exams happen one at a time.)) Luo Ushio Pride Of The Mist テキスト翻訳 Suiton| Ina Hassei Ryouken No Jutsu l Fire l Mizukage l Wind l Shark Summoner Staring at Varro almost blankly for a moment, Luo at last nodded in recognition of the boy's statement. Usually Luo had to dig deeper in order to get to the root of an answer he found suitable, but this was not necessary in this scenario thankfully. Scribbling the condensed version of Varro's new nindo to protect Kiri and its people, Luo looked back up staring into his eyes. "Alright Varro, let's move through this as quickly as possible. Perform the three basic ninjutsu." Luo then pointed to a desk set in front of the boy by a member of the ANBU with a glass of water on it. "I want you to run through water manipulation by freezing and then boiling the water in that glass. I then want you to read what's directly behind you on the top left of the board in small font using the water reflection technique to correctly reverse what's written. Finally, I want you to create a water clone and perform a quick demonstration of your staff skills with it before dispelling it with the water pellet jutsu. Any questions?"
((The words on the board read "Demon of the Mist."))

The silence had felt slightly unbearable as Luo looked at Varro blankly after his monologue. He was confident that his answer was sufficient, it was as heartfelt and honest as an answer from him could have been. When Luo asked to move on, he smiled slightly, excitement welling up in him as he studied what was asked of him. He nodded, his smile becoming a bit wider before he caught that his ego was coming out a bit to much in his expression. He did not want to give that sort of impression at this time.
He felt the flow of chakra around him as he directed his eyes to the bucket, the hand signs formed quickly, his memorization of them impeccable. "Mizu Soujuu!" The water froze in the glass instantly as all the particles within the liquid stopped in place. He held onto the flow of energy that jumped from him to the water, and with his will the atoms began to move again, going faster and faster as the water heated. The end result was a boiling glass of water that began to froth over until nearly all of it had spilled onto the table. He released the energy and the liquid settled.
Quick hand signs were made, as he focused on the next task. The water on the table started to rise and float as it formed together into on solid square surface, "Mizu Kagami no Jutsu!" the floating water turned suddenly into a completely new form. Angled slightly, a mirror floated and Varro looked into it to read the words.
"Demon of the Mist," He said aloud, before releasing the mirror that turned instantly to water that fell back into the glass, a small portion missing its target and landing on the table. The next test was one he had felt quite good about. The water clone he had used to great effect in his spar with Mizutenma. The clone had been the one to break the fellow student's nose and jaw.
"Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu!" he said aloud, the hand signs flashing before his exclamation. A clone formed from the moisture in the room approximately ten feet away from him. Varro debated for a moment which staff to use in this demonstration, and chose to risk it on his project. With each hand he removed a staff from his back, tossing the regular one to the clone who caught it and made its rush at him.
Varro held steady, blocking a quick blow at his legs, by sliding the staff through his left hand and griping it tight at the last moment to insure there was strength in the block. Releasing his left hand, he pressed his palm against the wooden surface and turned his body in towards the clone. His staff slid until it collided with the knee cap of his water formed copy who had no time to defend. The fluid movement continued as Varro pressed forward further, the bottom half of his weapon moving quickly to the back of the clone's leg as he pressed the rest of the staff and his body into a collision with his opponent.
The clone had no time to recover his position and was unable to hold balance when Varro's body collided with its. Falling towards the ground, it recovered in mid fall, turning its body onto a shoulder so that it could roll. Varro twisted at the top end of the staff, and a small click was heard. Right as the clone recovered from the roll, Varro threw weight into a swing at the air, the tip of the staff popped off and flew at the clone. Connected to other half was a chain that continued to extend. Right as the mirror image's eyes returned to its opponent the chain wrapped around its neck and tightened. The clone instinctively clasped both hands on the chains, trying to pry its fingers between the links that held tight to its throat.
Varro released his bottom hand from the staff, while the other held steady, continuing to pull back to apply pressure on the chain. Moisture started to well up on the fingertip of the free hand as Varro focused his chakra into the simple technique that he was asked to perform to finish this.
"Mizu no Waruasobi!" The water jumped from his fingertip, smacking the clone in the eye as it dispersed into a pool of water onto the floor, the chain falling with it loosely on the ground. With another twist of his top hand the chain coiled up and shot back into the staff, reconnecting it seamlessly. He turned back to Luo and awaited a response. Hoping that his demonstration was good enough.

LT sighed as he sipped the last form his coffee and got up from his chair in the Mizukages office. He left that room and headed toward the exam room with Luo and Varro inside. He passed Mizu in the hall way and wanted to ask why the kid didnt like him so much but he thought better of it and continued on into the exam room. LT got to see the last part of Varro's performance and walked around the edge of the room along the wall to his seat at the grading table. LT sat down and nodded to Varro when the boy completed his fight.

Luo Ushio Pride Of The Mist テキスト翻訳 Suiton| Ina Hassei Ryouken No Jutsu l Fire l Mizukage l Wind l Shark Summoner As Varro ran through the short exam repertoire Luo had formulated for all the genin exams in order to quickly run through what they know without an odd pause in between any of it, Luo scribbled notes in his file. As Varro neared the end of the test and attempted the last thing on the list in order to pass, Luo seemed to scribble a few things on his exam report. As the boy stood ready to receive his final judging, Luo at last looked back up at him. "Out of a top score of one-hundred, you received an eighty. The reason twenty points were docked from your overall grade is because of the crucial mistake you made on the last jutsu. Instead of performing Mizu Peretto as I asked, you performed Mizu no Warusobi. If you are to become a shinobi, attention to detail cannot be ignored like that. I expected a bit more from you in an area that involves detail given your background as an apprentice to an architect." As Luo let his words sink into Varro's head, he picked up one of the various headbands laid in front of him and tossed one to the new genin as he muttered, "Varro Hai'Auo Ushio, you will be known as the Blue Flame of the mist. Controlled yet raw power, the light and savior of its people. Congratulations, you have passed your genin exam by the skin of your teeth. I hope in the future your performance improves."

LT pulled a travel mug of coffee from his back pack along with two travel tin cups. He then placed one in front of Luo and filled it before doing the same for himself. When the boys score was announced LT bowed his head little in a wince. He did it so slightly that it would take a master of attention to detail in-order to notice his wince. The wince in pain was also like a shock, how would Varro get an 80, did I not teach him the right jutsu? Did i not train them hard enough? Am i a good enough teacher? What if the rest of my students dont get better than that, what would that say about me as a master... I have failed them. LT shrugged his thoughts away, he was too tired and exhausted that he wasnt thinking straight. He had a job to do, so LT making sure he wasnt noticed during his moment, shuffled the papers in front of him. He pulled the binder from across the desk that was titled "Squads" and he flipped open and flipped pass page one, two, and his squad three. He flipped to an open page and pulled it out, finding a fine tip ink brush or pen (He was too tired to tell) he wrote down a possibility then quickly drew a line through it. "Congratulations genin, if there is not anything else, go home and get some rest." None the less, Tares was proud to have Varro join the ranks of the mist.

((Ahh, I couldn't figure out which one was the water pellet. Its called fish spit in the description!)) Varro winced noticeably when his score was given. He looked to both of those before him, seeing a clear expression of disappointment. He felt a wrench in his chest. The water pellet technique... the phrasing had cause some confusion, given that it had been taught to them under a different name. His over analyzing at times could cause him to make a mistake, and in this line of work a mistake was not acceptable. He debated for a moment to explore this point aloud. With a nod of his head, followed by a respectful bow he took the head band.
He stared at it for some time, not saying anything, wondering if barely passing was how he wanted to earn this level. His face became expressionless and with a deep breath he swallowed his pride.
"I will take the score and failure as a humbling experience. Thank you Mizukage-sama, Lt Sensei. I am better then this simple mistake, and will prove that," He stated with a calm ease, that only showed a hint of that confidence he had before at the very end. He tied the headband onto his forehead, making eye contact with each of them before turning to leave the exam room. He sadly would probably not take Lt's advice, this slight would determine him to train harder. The Chuunin exams may be his chance to show this as his only failure. There would be much hard work that would have to be done in order to achieve a spot.

Mizutenma heard that he had to use Mizu Kagami no Jutsu. He started to freak out. He didn't even try it and yet he had to take the test soon. Mizu started to walk back down the hallway and to the exit of the building. He hoped LT didn't erase the board or he'll be stuck in the Academy longer than what he wanted to.

Mizutenma arrives at the building out of breath from running the whole way from the Academy to Mizukage's office. Mizu goes back inside and starts looking for the exams room. He kept hoping that Varro was a Genin already because Mizutenma knew Varro deserved it. Mizu saw the exams room. He had gotten used to the pain from his broken bones but it still felt uncomfortable. Mizu knocked on the door hoping he could take the exams right now.

Sai came walking up to the tower of the kage. the small young boy looked even more frail then usual since he wore only a pair of shorts. his thin form took a seat in a waiting room outside the Mizukages office. the boy's ribs were clearly visible but not because he was malnourished. he ate till he was full every meal but his body never seemed to grow and he always was quiet weak looking. despite these physical setback inside his mind was the a quick and sharp boy looking to be a ninja. he had always had a good mind and his parents had hinted to him very often he had other gifts as well. perhaps they were talking about his skills with the puppets but he felt they were talking about something else... His main goal was clear in his mind. He was here to get the Kage to admit him to the academy. if that were happen perhaps then he could achieve his goal as an inventor and as puppeteer.

Luo Ushio Pride Of The Mist テキスト翻訳 Suiton| Ina Hassei Ryouken No Jutsu l Fire l Mizukage l Wind l Shark Summoner As Varro seemed to rush out, Luo could see in his eyes the pain of the score he was given. If his Ushio blood ran as thick as Luo assumed it to, the boy was probably rushing off to begin training intensively. Closing the file and handing it to tares, Luo sighed a bit. "Did you teach the new batch the water pellet jutsu? I'm asking cause if not I'll have to change the exam set-up. I just figured that since you taught the first batch of students that jutsu, you would've taught this batch as well." Taking a sip of the coffee set in front of him, Luo heard a knock on the door. Setting his mug down, Luo looked towards it as he muttered, "Come in."

Varro pushed open the door just as Mizu knocked, he looked at the boy a moment. He had the genin headband on, which meant he passed, yet the expression he wore was far from excited about it.
"Good luck Mizu," He said before walking past him and down the hall to the main reception area. Varro noticed the frail looking Sai sitting in a chair awaiting something. He only studied him a moment, wondering exactly how he would compensate for the lack of body mass as a shinobi. Though he had read tales of similar cases finding ways through genjutsu and even as puppet masters.
"If you are waiting on the Mizukage, he will be busy for a time with genin exams," He stated to Sai, before moving over to the mission board to look over what was needed from the people. It may have been suggested that he find time to sleep, but that was not at all advice he was going to follow at this time.

":Thanks and congrates," Mizutenma said to Varro as Varro walked out.'He doesn't sound happy,' Mizutenma thought and then entered the exams room. He saw Luo a little unhappy but Mizu didn't want to ask why. Mizu stood near the door waiting for instructions from Luo.

Sai waited with paitience. this was one of the few time he had come out into public without his knives and he had to admit he felt a little insecure. still only in shorts he did not feel self conscious about his looks and this was necessary. without most of those cloths it proved that he was not carrying weapons and that he was not hiding anything from this man. reaching up the boy scratched part of his huge and visible burn scar of the right half of his chest. it was not something he was embarrassed about and the scar had a funny story. it would mark the first and last time he would screw up explosives. tilting his head back he looked up at the blank white ceiling and a few lights. he bounced his leg up and down a little bit before looking down. to his discovery he found the secretary staring at him. he ignored the woman and looked away. putting his hands together in a fashion his mother taught him he brought his mind to focus. he swept away what was before his eyes and visualized his puppet. holding his hands out he went through the motions of guiding and controlling the puppet. to others watching it would look like he was imagining playing the piano. now doubt a few would think him mad and the sage of the six paths only knew what the secretary would think. He did not carry what these people in here thought though. the only person at this point that needed to be pleased to achieve his goals was the kage. aside from that no one else in the building really mattered. then the wheels in his head began to move. the secretary could have him removed or just bar him from seeing the kage. with that in mind Saisashi stopped his mental practice and dropped his hands. The he scratched his head a little and leaned back in the chair were he was seated. no doubt he already looked odd. his only chance was to not make that worse. So Sai stuck to something simple and, as far as anyone else could tell, not crazy. In his mind he worked out making inventions.

Varro started with higher rank missions, tracing his finger casually over each one on the board before reality kicked in. These were not something he was capable of at this time, and that disappointed him. He made the note to find Lt when things calmed down and he had a couple of missions under his belt to continue his training. His eyes and body adjusted as the hand that had traced the font fell to his side.
The D rank missions would have to suffice for now. Finding one to start out with, one that he was more then capable of doing. The hot springs needed some work, he had done work there before. Usually there was a transaction involved, but in this case, he was sure the old man would be more then happy to accept his services for free this time.
Varro turned to leave, but stopped as the boy Sai looked to play with a non-existent piano. There was something very odd with this one, and his head cocked to the side just slightly to show that universal sign of confusion. With a shrug he let it go and made his way out of the office.Exit to Marketplace
